Congratulations The Lagster and versous, you have earned infractions. Keep the personal insults out of this thread (actually, out of GTP as a whole).

If you have an issue with a post, report it. Slinging mud will get you the wrong kind of attention.

Back on-topic, now.

Sorry sir but he tried to get at me:tdown:

back to topic

okay

By the way I'm not a kid anymore but he tried to get at me so :)

Sorry for off-topic people

Actually he didn't. While idiot is often used in an offensive manner it also correctly used to describe an uneducated, ignorant, ill-informed person. Considering you are uneducated in Italian but offered your interpretation as factual evidence even though an Italian had already offered the correct interpretation not long before you posted his description is accurate and only insulting in the sense that he is talking down to you. Still it is mild considering the frustration some people must feel when they continue to read misinformation over and over after it has been shown to be so.

EDIT: my apologies SlipZtrEm I was already replying before you posted, I am a slow typist.

Yes, right... Back to topic now.

Can anyone lvl 20+ (or 40 or whatever) confirm that the severity of damage progresses along with your level?

7HO

Back on topic guys, ignore the foolish. It will start more fires down the road.

After a further 7 minutes, I got pretty much identical damage to my first attempt. Considering it is supposed to be realtime damage, regardless of what corner hits the wall first, the bumper fell off on the same side both times. On the front and rear...

It looks as if it isn't as realtime as they make out.

I guess that either confirms that the damage isn't very good, or we do indeed unlock it as our level progresses. If somebody who is higher than level 7 - preferably over 20 - could crash the same car - I would be able to judge whether the damage does increase with level. It is the premium Toyota Vitz.

Andy

Might wanna try a race/rally car instead.

*sigh*

Again, If you have an issue with a post, report it. Slinging mud will get you the wrong kind of attention. It shouldn't need to be said twice on one page.

Also, don't quote posts that you think/know will cause issues. It creates more cleanup for the staff.

Frankly, I find the whole leveling system contrived. Why does every game have to have some sort of skinner box in it? It's pandering to the little one's IMO, isn't it enough to have to earn licenses, cars, tracks etc.? I'm tired of reward based nonsensical additions like this. It's especially troubling if leveling is somehow linked to unlocking basic aspects of the game. I'm butthurt by this and the whole leveling system as a whole. It's a racing sim, more specifically it mimics the career of a driver, how the hell does leveling have anything to do with this? Bah!

Of course, yes :) I was just seeing what kind of damage a normal, none race premium car has. I have seen videos of much higher damage on normal premium cars, so it does seem that you "unlock" more advanced damage as you progress. It would be nice of them to inform us of this, in the game, though :nervous:

Is this realistic?

1/ Try to going on with a car in LFS after one of these crash... it's done, you're out of the race. At least, mechanical damage engine are very accurate, they are not just "GT5 Cosmetic" ... ;)

2/ this was an earlier release, with the last patches it is very rare to get these "extreme" flying behavior, and did you notice that you can race with up to 32 guys! try that in GT5.... ;) I doubt the FF also is as good as the fantastic FF in LFS where you litteraly feel every bit of the road and the traction of your tires.

Is this San Francisco Rush? lol

yea all this talk about Live for speed being realistic is silly. I played that game and its awful the physics the sound and yes the damage are all bad. not realistic in my eyes at all.

I admit that the sound is not too great, but physics and damages (I mean physical damages) are one of the best in town... maybe you just cannot drive in LFS... UNFORGIVING bumping cars and physics are not enough GT-like :sly:

Facepalm.. i thought this forum and site is serious, what is this?

I agree completely with you. Saying that LFS is not realistic is just crazy talk. :nervous: LFS online is much better than GT online, from what I've seen so far. The physics are better. Maybe the graphics aren't up to scratch, but the cars look better than standard cars :P
