I don’t have one but I’ll check it out later, which specific car is it that you want me to tune?

Exactly. It's the 300 SL (W194) '52, currently at the LCD for 20M. It's not cheap, but a real beauty.

Regards and thank you for your support.

Arguably one of the best Cars Aston ever made. It’s one of the hardest to tune and it’s not easy to drive. It can touch 200mph down Mulsanne with FM6 and has great acceleration as well, but it’s not the best car at stopping! It has skinny tyres and no downforce, so it’s back to Basics but once tamed it is unstoppable. You can get 5 laps on RM and just over 5 laps of fuel.

I did a tune for it , it’s on the first page of this thread.
There are 2 300 SL in the game, one from 52 and one from 54.
You did tune the 54 Coupe (very well might I add) but MUC76 is asking about the 52.

Great work on your tunes by the way, very enjoyable, fun and challenging to drive those older beauties.

Ok will sort it tonight for you.

Great tune. Thank you for providing!

You are welcome,it’s worth checking out the tunes as I regularly revisit them and tweak them a bit more, especially for fuel consumption which can be an issue with the big American cars.

I will be posting an update for the E Type Jag later, I adjusted the LSD so it rotates a lot better going in and out of corners.I also tweaked the Jag XJ 13 as well, just for fun I added a supercharger to it and managed a sub 4 minute lap of Le Mans.

Apologies for the delay I had internet issues. So here we are with the E Type. I adjusted the LSD and the Natural Frequency on the suspension. It now corners much better and tyre wear is a bit better as well . I managed to shave off 3 seconds a lap either this tune. You still get 4+ laps of fuel and a set of RM should last the whole race in the dry.

The Ferrari 250 Berlinetta Passo Corto is one of the best cars in the game. The tune that I did had a few problems so I sorted it out.It now is faster and handles much better while still giving you just over 4 laps of fuel,a set of RH will last the whole race if not too wet. I fiddled with the gears and shortened 4 th somewhat so that 5th engages a bit earlier.

Have u done one for GTO “the judge” ‘69? I was hoping to use it at Le Mans, but not sure how that’s gonna work out. Praiano only has it tuned for 550pp. I just tried like half a lap Fully loaded at 700pp this barely makes it around le man’s 1 lap on fuel6. Taking off high end super charger and intercooler made it do 3 laps, but I don’t have gear settings or top speed.

Yes I have but I don’t think I posted it, I will have a look later. I think it has the same issue with fuel use.

I tried your first tune, the car was very difficult to drive.
this update is a little better but the rear behaviour is umpredictable yet.
thanks for your work

In what way is it unpredictable? It could be the brake balance.check this vid , it’s the latest tune.

The Pontiac GTO “The Judge”.Not an easy car to tune mainly due to the fuel economy.,it becomes a trade off between speed and fuel consumption. That said I managed to get just short of 4 laps of Le Mans on a tank but the trade off was speed.,yes it could go faster by adding tuning parts but then it uses more fuel. It is competitive even with a top speed of just over 160 mph as it outbrakes the opposition and has good acceleration.Use RH as you get a better top speed over other tyres. I think I can improve the fuel situation with tinkering with the gears,so watch this space.

I confirm my impression.
I tried it at Kyoto (Hypercar event).
the car is very nervous in exit to the curves, doesn’t love curbs and change slops.

I updated the Maserati Spyder 54.I adjusted the gears so it accelerates batter so 160+ on FM6 is the norm without losing any fuel economy. I found that RH are better than RM you get longer life out of them and better acceleration due to reduced rolling resistance, regarding grip there is very little in it.DONT reduce the ride height as it won’t turn into corners.

The Alpine A110 ‘72.I found this lurking in my garage so had to have a go at tuning it. It being a RR Car most of the weight is on the rear which makes it an “interesting “ drive. The rear is a bit lively at times but that’s what makes it fun. I resisted to add a rear wing unless it was totally necessary. I added 50 kg of weight to the front to keep it from rising and making the steering way too light. It can do 170 mph and return a smidge over 6 laps of fuel.A set of RH,RM will last the race,I did try RS but only did 2 laps on them so I don’t know just how long they would last. All in all this is a fun wee car that is a challenge to drive.

no, with this set-up I really can't make a curve ................. only straights .................

I have the same experience with another car which runs totally different in my hands than his vid.
He is on controller also as i am .

Trying to find out " what's wrong " i saw from the vids that he has enable countersteering and Asm.
So if you're not using them , its a far different ride.
It's a " ride " that reveals all the weakness of the car since there is no " save " action from the game.
Although he is doing a great job but i can't follow since is forbidden to me doing any permanent modifications on that type ( old and expensive usually ) of cars.

I always use (when possible) countersteering and ASM.

I do use all the player aids as I have very reduced mobility in my hands and can’t react fast enough, also my vision is impaired so I use the racing line as a guide to “see” what’s coming up on the circuit, the brake area assist I use to take the brake off when the red area disappears.A lot of the Classic cars without tuning parts are not competitive enough if you are grinding Le Mans for credits.Where possible I tend not to add wings/spoilers if the car doesn’t come with them as standard. The old cars do need a different style of driving over modern cars, you do have to do the brake and coast method on a lot of corners. Also bear in mind that all my tunes are for Le Mans circuit so I haven’t tried them on different Circuits, so they may not handle as well as they would at Le Mans.

Am aware mate that your tunes are for La Sarthe, i admire the work you done with all these Beauties from the past .
Also what doesn't " fit " to me doesn't mean its a junk or useless.
Just try once your mazda RX 500 and was way different at my hands ( controller and only button use 🥴 ) than yours .
The last 3 plus monts from the 6 am playing, I don't use ASM and countersteering cause i realised that i was faster ( not always ) without them.
But on difficult cars the absence of them made things even worst as an old school controller user.
That's all from me , keep up your good work mate .

I just thought that it would help if I added the assists etc I used. I find it odd that while I don’t have any problems with the tune and yet others just can’t get to grips at all with the same tune,an interesting state of affairs that defies logic LOL

Interestingly I swapped the tyres and rims on the Ferrari Berlinetta 250 for 15 inch and wide offset etc. I was surprised that not only did it handle better but tyre wear was reduced, also it accelerated quicker than before. So this may account for the difference in handling when using the same Tune.

The Alfa Romeo Guilin Zagato is a vastly underrated car in my opinion. It shares looks with the Ferrari 250’s.While this car isn’t as fast as some it’s a “ plodder” and will win the 700pp Le Mans race.A set of RM will last the race,RS will last at least 3laps(the race finished before I could do more laps),as for fuel it could do the race on a tank if you don’t have a heavy foot otherwise it will last 6 laps. It is also one of the best sounding cars in the game.
