The Earth is Flat?

It's definitely not a joke when you consider it's fairly likely that tens of flat Earthers die each year.

Of myriad causes that may or may not have anything to do with their belief that the Earth is flat.

I don't believe its possible regardless to see through thousands of miles of thick atmosphere with every particle in it.and also the Opera house would be way too tiny at that distance

Ever been on an airliner? At altitude, the horizon you see out the window is somewhere around 230 to 250 miles away.
Ever seen pictures of the Earth from the space station? That horizon is almost 1500 miles away. Granted, you can't make out any details with the naked eye, but you can see the line. Also granted, the space station's view of the horizon is not all through atmosphere, but I'd wager a good thousand miles of it is. (Can't be bothered with that geometry this close to bedtime. :) )

As for too tiny at that distance, if a telescope can fill its field of view while looking at Jupiter, I'm sure it could make out the Sydney opera house at only 10 or 12 thousand miles, only a couple thousandths of a percent of the distance. Assuming good weather all the way... :) But wait, that horizon thing happens again!

Haha, you did see the boat reappear in the video right? That was my point anyway.

And yes i know the fact that you see farther as you climb, that works on both a globe and a plane

Then watch from the 23:12 mark
The boat isn't 16.8 miles away. I'd guess it's 1-2 miles at the most. You can't see it with the lens because the resolution isn't good enough. Of course I can't "prove" that, but the person making the video can't prove it's 16 miles away either. Here's a thought though. What kind of camera or filming device has the power to zoom in a ship from 16 miles away, close enough to fill the lens?

I live on the Great Lakes. I'm right on top of Lake Erie which is 200 miles long and Lake Freighters travel up and down the lake by the dozen every single day. Lake freighters are several hundred feet long. I own both binoculars and a telescope. On any clear day I can go down to the Lake, and have many times, and watch the freighters disappear over the horizon, heading to the Welland Canal. You're from Norway. This should be quite easy for you. Just head to the nearest seaport, find a spot on a hillside and watch a ship disappear over the horizon. Bring your binoculars and it will be obvious what's happening.

then u will have to use the freedom of information act and get them yourself. I didn't want to watch the whole 2 hours either but I did just to see the documents.

No he doesn't because that's not how the FoIA works, once one has been granted those documents become published and part of public domain. You simply can produce the documents yourself, give him a link to the specific documents or some other method you can think of.

I'd say that you're claim is bull, and you are either here to troll, or unfortunately so educationally deprived that I question how you find your way home. I'm more keen to see you as a troll simply because you've liked about 3/4ths of the posts calling you for lack of better wording asinine.

I'm honestly not going to be sorry where others (better than me) are, because this is a damn slap in the face of many of us who have dedicated a good portion of our lives, time, and so forth to science to prove and build, test and improve things you clearly take for granted.

It's a scientific phenomenon known as the Domino's Effect.
To be honest, when Quentin mentioned the Sun and the Moon were both just lights, I did think that the Pizza theory was aligned with his way of thinking, the lights inside an oven....

You can use ship tracker which was mentioned in the video. If you actually believe that boat disappears on the horizon only 1 to 2 miles away then more power to you. I have checked this for myself too of course.

Seriously, you are arguing against proven scientific fact. Do yourself a favour, stop wasting your time on such utter guff and use the time to educate yourself.

Still debating? What is the consensus? Is the earth still a globe or did it become a flat disc?

Did somebody mention "pizza"?

Still debating it seems.

The flat earth society forum has a few that say it's officially confirmed we're on a disk, that never ends.
I don't know how that conclusion arrived but if it never ends that means our world is infinite.

An infinite world means we can all drive 238,900 miles to the moon. There's no longer a need for fancy space shuttles and expensive rocket fuel.

and it is not possible to overpopulate this planet, uh disc. I see big potential for off road race games. Infinite environment to race, infinite free roaming ..... .

I wonder how they explain circumnavigation. Magnetism must be pulling the observer into a circle.

He says ship tracker was used but there's no way to verify it was actually used. I don't think the boat disappears on the horizon only 1-2 miles away, I think the ship as it appears in that video is only a couple of miles away.
