E3 is soon and runs 5th to the 7th June at the Los Angeles Conference Centre. Most gaming sites will have one stream or another for the shows.

Monday 4th June

- Microsoft Press Conference - 9:30 AM
- Electronic Arts Press Conference - 1:00 PM
- Ubisoft Press Conference - 3:00 PM
- Sony Press Conference - 6:00 PM

Tuesday 5th June

- Nintendo Press Conference - 9:00 AM

All times are Pacific Standard.

I thought I'd make a thread for all of this years E3 talk about expectations, chat during the press conferences and news etc.

As a PS3 owner I'm hoping to see...

- More about 'The Last Guardian'
- More about Rockstar's 'Agent' (and when I say more, more than a logo!)
- The whole cloud gaming partnership rumour with either OnLive or Gaikai
- Unveiling of the 'Syphon Filter' Reboot
- A playable demo and release date for 'The Last Of Us'
- Release date for 'Dust 514'
- Quantic Dreams next project.
- 'Playstation All Stars Battle Royale' full line-up list
- Do something about Home (ruined ever since the big update)
- Price cut and new games and features for Vita
- New PS3 exclusives
- Another GTAV teaser
- What's happening with 'Metal Gear Solid: Revengence'
- More about 'Tomb Raider'
- More about 'Sleeping Dogs'

- PS4.... well we can all dream!

Sony said they will unveiling 20 new gaming 'experiences' whatever that means so it might be a big one this year for them.

What are you guys hoping to see?

Robin.

The Last of Us, god damn! No game I am more exicted for at the moment! I;d love to see more of it, possibly gameplay. :D

I'm expecting a lot of Vita stuff seeing as it's their latest console, and the PS3 is getting... Old. I want some details on The Last of Us too, I think it's the only game I'm really looking forward to seeing as I've been indoctrinated as a PC gamer and buy most multiplatform games on that as I'm more comfortable with the controls now. Also it was way more expensive than my PS3 so I want my money's worth. Some GT-related news would be nice too but I'm not expecting any.

Even though I'll be getting it on PC (probably), news on GTA V would be good too. Oh and Borderlands 2, can't wait for that.

I'd assume 20 new gaming experiences is a ton of vita games with Playstation Allstars and the Last of Us for Ps3.

I'm looking for Arma 3 and BF3 DLC. I'd like Blizzard to be there with some stuff on Heart of the Swarm but I doubt it.

Personally I would love to see GT6 announced for PS3, continuing a cycle of sorts, though I think development is just taking too long now for PD to squeeze two chapters onto each console. GT5 does feel like GT3 to me in many ways though, kinda playing with the new (well it was when they started) tech, then hopefully following up with a humungous game, content-wise. A large percentage of the work has already been done via GT5, so it would make sense.

Other than that, i'm not really into big profile games but I would like to see more about The Last Guardian, and a definite release date for Test Drive: Ferrari Experience (or whatever it's called), though I think that's only about a month away now anyway.

GTA V. GTA V. GTA V!!l That's the only game I'm interested in except for Forza Horizon. Hopefully there'll be some info during the Microsoft Press Conference.

Interested in TLOU, Black Ops II (just to see what it'll be like), the next Need for Speed (if Criterion are making it), Tomb Raider, and BF3 DLC :D

Can't wait for E3. Hopefully all the juicy details start leaking this week. Metro Last Light got a leaked video last week.

I'm looking forward to BF3 DLC info, GTA V, Arma 3, and hopefully the launch of the PlanetSide 2 beta.

Most of all... Forza Horizon.

The Microsoft press conference will be streamed on XBOX.

Yeah forgot Tomb Raider, was a massive fan of the old games, I still need to play the last three (I got the HD collection) so will get those in before the rebooted game comes out. The trailer and brief gameplay demo were awesome, about time they released at least another gameplay movie.

I want Burnout Paradise 2, or an NFS that is similar to what it would've been.

What I want to see in E3 during presentation -

Square ENIX: Tomb Raider - more gameplay/trailer please and announce a proper release date and also a teaser the the next Kingdom Hearts game, aka KH3. 👍

Ubisoft: Assassin's Creed 3 - Gameplay & Trailer, more surprises please. :D

PS3: The Last of Us (NaughtyDog), Infamous 3 (Sucker Punch), Unannounced PS3 exclusives/titles. 👍

PS VITA: Price reduction on PS VITA/Accessories, more exclusive titles or unannounced titles from third party studios, Youtube/HTML5 functionality, Gran Turismo Vita, Mayjor update on PS Store for Vita e.g add real life money into PSN Wallet, more accessories for the PS VITA, more colour choices, more cross-play games, hopefully an Uncharted Golden Abyss sequel with Multi-player! :D

PS4/Orbis: Teaser trailer to the next Gen console, fingers crossed but highly doubt it. ;) 👍

I also expect tons of Vita stuff, but the $64k question is will Activision continue the COD/MS relationship that expired last year? I know that a lot of PS3 owners were angry over that month long exclusivity deal on their DLC and sales suffered on that platform because of it.

What I expect out of Square Enix this year is the Tomb Raider reboot and more information on Final Fantasy X HD "Remaster" that they announced last year.

Even though we may have gotten it already, I also want out of Konami is a playable demo of "Metal Gear Revengence" and an announcement on a new Castlevania title.

I do not suspect that we will not get any announcement on the PS4 anytime soon guys if Microsoft does not unveil the "720" at the conference.

Along with everything listed above, I'm also looking forward to more Darksiders II, Wii U and Unreal Engine 4 info, demos, etc.

Dead Space 3 is also rumored to be shown at E3. And if the rumors turn out to be true, this could be the introduction of the co-op partner. Another rumor is that DS 3 will use the Frostbite 2 engine. We shall see.

That would be amazing.

I'm also keen to see what happens with the Wii U, apparently they changed the logo slightly (made the U bit more blue) but I think they should have dropped the Wii bit and called it the Nintendo U, sounds cool!

But I don't blame them for keeping the name of the 3rd most successful console in history. The Wii name is almost like what Playstation is to Sony now.

Its also been confirmed the Wii U doesn't have the horse power to run the upcoming unreal 4 engine, that's really going to limit things!

I just want to see Need For Speed Most Wanted 2 (It was leaked on Twitch TV) and a Halo 4 hands-on.

Personally, I'm hoping for info on the next fallout and also on the skyrim dlc.

Edit: some gta v and f12012 info would be good too.

Personally, I'm hoping for info on the next fallout

It would be nice to see lots of juicy Fallout 4 details! This time I'm buying for my PC though, Beth burned me thrice and it's not happening again.

Besides, the jump from PS3 to PC Fallout 3 is pretty noticeable with graphics at max settings, felt like I was playing on a PS3.5 :)

I'm starting to get really itchy for E3 info now, I would really love any glimpse of next gen tech being shown off. Or even some teasers for GT6.

I'd be very happy with some GT6 news but that's unlikely.

So being more realistic i'm especially looking forward to some news on The Last of us & GTA 5.

I will also be keeping an eye on the usual yearly releases like PES 2013 and F1 2012.

I would also like to add that i hope no new consoles are revealed or if they are they are at least a couple of years from release.

Wow it's hear already  ,anyway looking forward to GTA 5,Fifa 13,the Last of us ,God of war,AC3 and Mostwanted 2 .Hoping for a GT6 and/or PS4 Teaser trailers and i think a GT5 Vita port esque game isn't something too far fetched

I can't wait to see what arrives at E3 this year. Hopefully GT6 is announced (for PS3, I can't afford a PS4 so I wouldn't want it as a launch title).

Xbox: Forza Horizon, hopefully Halo 4
PS3: BF3 DLC

We're going to E3 and we’re bringing both Close Quarters and Armored Kill in playable form!

The E3 showfloor officially opens up on Tuesday June 5th, but Electronic Arts is giving its press conference the day before, Monday June 4th. If you're a Battlefield fan, you don't want to miss the EA press conference at SPIKE TV on Monday, June 4 at 4:00 PM ET/1:00 PM PT or streamed at www.ea.com

You can find DICE and EA at booth #1601. If you are staying at home, you can watch the press conference, then tune in to the Battlefield Blog for daily coverage straight from the show at http://blogs.battlefield.com/

I'm hoping for something we don't know about, or perhaps had given up for dead like Beyond Good and Evil 2. Or maybe Tekken X Street Fighter.

I'm not really a graphics whore. I just want the next Fallout, even if it is in the same engine.

I agree. I'm not particularly bothered about ps4 yet.

There have been rumours going around that MS's next console is called Xbox 8, to fit in with Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 ecosystem.

However the '8' is going to be written sideways which becomes the symbol for infinity which will also mean it will avoid the obvious lol'ing at it being the 8th Xbox. Its quite clever if true.

So basically Xbox Infinity.

Star Wars 1313 announced. Trailer at E3.

The rumored Star Wars 1313 project became a reality this past week as LucasArts formally announced the name is attached to their next Star Wars game project, set to debut at E3 2012 next week in Los Angeles.

Star Wars 1313 refers to a level deep underneath the Republic capital planet of Coruscant where ruthless criminals are in charge. Players take control of an as-of-yet named bounty hunter who must navigate this seedy world to unravel a criminal conspiracy. Is it Boba Fett in his bounty hunting prime? Could be, but LucasArts isn't saying just yet.

LucasArts is calling the world of Star Wars 1313 "dark and mature," words Star Wars fans have been waiting to hear in conjunction with the property for decades. All indications are this game is built for the generation that grew up watching the Star Wars films who long ago passed the legal drinking age. No Jar Jar and no poop jokes; just beautiful graphics and a mature storyline and themes. It aims to be the first Star Wars project aimed squarely at adults.

Maybe it's not a coincidence that Star Wars as a brand is turning more mature as George Lucas begins the first steps from relinquishing control over his empire. Or maybe it is. Either way, Star Wars 1313 marks a radical departure for the brand that, if proven successful, could lead to more adult-oriented treatments of the world in other mediums.
