Well I wouldn't know, because I've never been to Europe. I know the License plates are very different, and even one states plates looks different to another.

To be fair I've only been to Ohio to attend a Business Course at the University of Ohio. Fun times in the pub with cheerleaders though during the University Football matches and Ohio State University winning. :embarrassed:
But yeah, I didn't get to see much of the country while I was there for a good 3 weeks ish, learning stuff the normal students learn in 3 to 6 months. So it was more studying than sight seeing.

As far as Europe goes... We don't have states here, unless you mean EU Member 'States'. Though that legally doesn't count as we are not one country like the USA is. Every EU Member State is still an individual country and has its individual laws and regulations, and some still don't have the Euro (smart choice if you ask me).

All license plates have been made somewhat more uniform, as all have a blue patch to the side with the EU flag and the country letters you're from. Also known as international licence plate country code.
In the past those letters were put on cars via an oval white sticker, formerly known as International Registration Letter. Which was mandatory when traveling internationally.
I personally still have both on my car. An NL sticker and EU conform license plates.

Most UK plates don't have the little blue bit, the ones that have the blue have GB in it.

But then we aren't a proper EU member, no Euro, driving on the other side and all that...

At he end I meant the US license plates are different from one state to another.

Even in the same state you see differences. Many times in New York you see 'old' license plates(white and blue) and 'new' license plates(orange and blue).

@Dean Suggestions for GTPlanet Trucking colour scheme:

It would look cool when we drive in a convoy on MP. If more people join the VTC and want to have a company scheme.

I'm more of a fan of fhe first one but, I think I would probably like black rather than white. Fits the Gran Turismo colors better imo. Charcoal Grey would be the best choice really.

1.12 has been released on Steam!

Replace the white with charcoal then 👍

The new truck and trailer browser is very handy. Also the new Trailer Pack DLC is on Steam but can't be purchased yet.

Definitely a good bargain so I'll be purchasing!

After playing around with the livery, I think on the MAN it looks better this way. Not sure how this will look on other trucks though.

Also, here is a pic from my favorite time of day! Just after 4AM when the light is beginning to come back up!

That colour scheme is better.

Nice picture 👍

It seems the new trailers don't work with Jazzycat's cargo packs, and they aren't any heavier than the normal ones unfortunately. However, the new paint job is customisable, looks really good.

@Kamuifanboy That last paintjob is exactly how I had envisioned a GTP livery. Combine that with (voluntary) [GTP] tags in our names as we hurtle down the Autobahn and I say we've got a pretty awe-inspiring convoy 👍

Today I thought I'd let the Scania stretch its legs for the first time in weeks. I was pleasantly surprised to find the V8 sound has since been improved with turbo whine and a more audible rumble in the cabin. It really makes a world of difference. I love the new paintjobs, too! Here's a shot of my revamped R-Series in Vienna.

What is the best controller set up? I am finding it near impossible to steer on the keyboard.

I've been using my DS3. My controls are
L2 = brake, R2 = accelerate, L1 = left blinker, R1 = right blinker, start engine = select, parking brake = x, hazard = triangle, light mode = O, high beam = square, horn = L3, wipers = R3, enter = start.

Hmm, I don't think I'm buying this DLC, lol.

Well I wouldn't have anyway, but its not as tempting seeing 666 as a price.
That's what the currency converter said ;)

Lets hope we get some more members in GTPlanet Trucking.

Using my Xbox 360 controller, I have LT=brake RT=accelerate LB=Cruise control Y=engine start X=change down B=change up A=select Select=high/low beam Dpad Up=lights Dpad down=wipers Dpad left=left indicator Dpad right=right indicator Right Click=parking brake

Well, according to the Steam Store, it is $4.99 in the US :)

;)Lets hope we get some more members in GTPlanet Trucking.

Do we have to sign up or something?

@Mark II Blit How do you add the Clan Tag?

What is the best controller set up? I am finding it near impossible to steer on the keyboard.

My settings are as follows on my Xbox 360 controller.

RT - Accelerator
LT - Brakes
RB - Right Turn Indicator
LB - Left Turn Indicator
Left Analog - Steering
L3 (Left Analog Click) - High Beams
Down D Pad - Shift Up
Up D Pad - Shift Down
Left D Pad - Beacon
Right D Pad - Light Modes
Back Button - Parking Brake
Start Button - Start/Stop Engine
Right Analog - Look Around Axis
R3 (Right Analog Click) - Interior Camera
A Button - Exhaust Brake
X Button - Air Horn
Y Button - Hazard Warning
B Button - Wipers

I use the keyboard for MP, and for SP, but sometimes I use the 360 controller for SP. I tried the 360 controller for MP, but with all the lag for me, the inputs were so delayed, and just wasn't right.

Do we have to sign up or something?

I think you need to make a new profile to have a tag. And you have to manually put in the [GTP]. Either that, or I don't know what I'm talking about ;)

To join the VTC (Virtual Trucking Company) you must message @Dean . This is where members log their trips for the company, GTPlanet Trucking 👍

5 members so far :)

I really need to get into this. Bought it and did a trip or two in SP before GTA5 came out, but since then, GTA has had all my gaming time. Gonna have to get into this GTP company and do some trucking.

Anyone use a wheel at all? Thats what I used quickly for my SP drives.
