If I ever try the MP thing , I'd be happy to do some driving for GTPlanet Trucking. I would need to build on my vanilla profile which is back at level 2. I don't even own a truck yet haha.

Anyone use a wheel at all? Thats what I used quickly for my SP drives.

Yeah , wheel user here. I can't imagine using a keyboard to drive and a controller would require some steady thumbs !

Has anyone had a look at SCS's blog? A new license with a trailer manufacturer is 'on the horizon'. We can look forward to more cargo DLC and more truck customisation.

Euro server is down and the American server is lagging a lot for me and my friend that we gave up and finished our loads in SP. An update would be great.

Well I uninstalled MP when I updated my security system for my PC so I just updated the new version. I found that when I was trucking with @P1K3Y_M1k3Y on US server I didn't disconnect too much. (My Ping was too high )

My ping is around 115 on Euro and my friend is 125. We would try to stick together but for some reason, when we're on the highway, our truck and trailer would be at different locations. For example, when he's next to me on his screen, he's about a truck and trailer behind me on my screen. When he's a truck and trailer in front of me on his screen, he's next to me. Because of this, we've had a bunch of funny moments. I would pass him and merge into his lane, but on his screen, I was still next to him, so I would push him into the wall and he would flip. On my screen, it looks like an invisible fist smashed into him. Anyone else having this?

It never happened to me, but I saw it happen to others on youtube.

The US server right now is horrible for me and my friend. I recommend to not stay on right now. I was teleported into the air with 100% damage.

So I updated ProMods...

My first Promods 1.7 job was from Kassel Germany to Kuopio Finland. A bit over 2000km ! Even areas I had previously explored have lots of small additions now , they have done a great job as usual.

Loving it very much , a few bugs here and there but I suspect a patch will be released very soon.

I have a job to Lahti, one of the new Finnish cities, I'm looking forward to getting there I have also installed the latest edition of the Russia map expansion. Journeys of 4000km are possible

What is up with the speed limit in the UK? Truck speed limit is showing up at 97Km/h. Does the UK have a different speed limit for trucks / limiter?

There must be a 60mph limit, which equates to 96.56km/h, so it's rounding up to 97km/h.

It should be 90km/h at the most, that's the limit for trucks in the UK, like the rest of Europe. I assume you are using the truck specific limit instead of the car limit?

Ouch. I used to play it on my Mac, everything on low, so I know the feeling.

It must struggle when you head into Rotterdam on MP though.

Yeah I have most settings on low

I will be avoiding Rotterdam and most of Holland if possible, it was a nightmare when I went there last on MP.

To clear this up, the official legal speed limit for a truck on a British motorway is 60mph, but, EU law states that a truck must be limited to 90kph as that is the limit on all European motorways, except here in the UK.

Dean set up an ETS2 virtual trucking company for GTPlanet members. You log your trips for the company, like an employee. Send Dean a message if you want to join

It's a nice feature, indeed. I'm just curious why @Dean is the only one ranked at the moment. Are the entries in our logbook wrong or does the administrator have to make the list manually?

In other news, Switzerland is gorgeous in the late afternoon and my R620 is finally rocking the GTPlanet paint scheme



Hopefully MP v1.0.8.3 will be released soon, now. The speed limiter is a nice touch of realism that will hopefully weed out overly aggressive drivers that don't contribute to the atmosphere of a simulator such as ETS2.

What I think is the reason, is that I'm currently the only one who've completed five trips (and logged them) and that the coding of the MyVTC site only can calculate when the fifth trip is completed, but I'm definitely not sure. I'm not the one who's driven the longest though.
