The February update discussion

I've lost hope in a update happening, they would have said something by now if they were releasing something in February.

Do not worry. The update will happen. The weekend will be announced. Before the 28th, the update will take place.

In March too.

My concern is after March.

My concern is whether GTS will really become a content game as rich as GT6, in Kaz's words.

I do not know if the PD will find it feasible to continue with the support from a financial point of view.

I just think it is a prologue game. that is it. Not a simulator. I like it, mostly, but for 70usd, i do not really know if it is worth it. They stick in a piece of crap samba bus, but will not put in a 50-60s era ford or chevy? And bring back the tracks. Disappointing is all. Good, but lacking for sure. Where is my gt2/3?

i dont think it would be a huge problem financially, its not like what they are making for this GT will go to waste after it, every car and track model they make will carry on to the next GT, so its like updating this game is part of the developing of the next one, if you know what i mean

idk tho, i think after march they will keep updating till the end of year or so

One question to friends:

Do you have the feeling that GTS is a palliative game? A more sophisticated "prologue"?

Sometimes I have the feeling that PD soon launched a palliative game on the market, not to leave the GT brand in oblivion and because the PS4 is already four and a half years old without any GT.

So, nothing better than launch a game with what is already ready, while PD finishes the GT7.

And I think that more now, when the sales of the game are falling.

Honestly, I do not see any logic that PD continues to spend resources with monthly updates for two years (for example), while sales only fall and the public decreases every day.

Here at GtPlanet, we're fans. We love the franchise. And yet I see that the demand diminishes of people interested in the game.

In the other forums I participate in, the GTS topics are forgotten.

Do not get me wrong. I'm just worried.

Is it even that PD will give this whole support of 500 cars? Will Kaz fulfill the promise of GTS to have content similar to the GT6?

I can not think this promise viable.

Please, PD haven't even started the online FIA Championship yet, they are still testing it and the last test race was 18 february and you are trying to say this game is finished and PD is abondon it?
I don't think PD have everything ready for GT S and that's why things takes time, PD haven't promised us any content this month, it's just us that hope we will have new content this month, i don't believe GT S is a prologue, prologue to what exactly? Because i have a feeling the next GT will be GT S 2 and not GT 7.

What is NISSAN's circuit ?
I do not know the Nissan circuit. I believe the brand does not have its own circuit, such as Toyota (Fuji), Honda (Motegi and Suzuka), Kawasaki (Autopolis) and Yamaha (Sugo).

By the way, the Nissan testing its cars in Nurb.

With the probable complementation of the list of Japanese sports cars of the 90s, the GT League can pay homage to a championship with these cars, through Japanese circuits.

Only Suzuka can not.

They did add a '68 Chevy Corvette, '67 Chevy Nova, and a '66 Shelby Cobra (has Ford engine). I personally like the Samba bus but I get where your coming from. The game lacks content but I think they added the VW to acquire to all tastes. The game needs more tracks and cars.

did gt6 have cars added through dlc or updates?

GT6 has already been released with gritty car numbers. And a good number of circuits. Had few DLCs.

But before the launch of GTS, Kaz said that the game would end with content equivalent to the GT6.

Is this true?

Another subject that makes me skeptical.

Why MARCH?

What will come after March?

If GTS will receive 50 cars and some circuits until March, what will come in the following months?

Paid DLCs?

Now, if all the DLCs are free and periodic, why limit the March?

It would not be better to say that GTS will always receive periodic content updates until the end of 2019. For example.

In April the FIA Official Championship begins. Will more tracks and cars be added in the middle of the championship?

Hope so!

But why March?

With the current state of GT and PD, I think it's probably best for them to continuously develop a product instead of releasing a new product every few years. Considering how far we are into the PS4s development cycle it just wouldn't make sense to do what they did with GT6 again.

I think the "March" number was thrown out there because that's what they could confirm. Where their progress was at and what they could accomplish. Anything beyond that could be better, worse, more frequent or just generally up in the air. Nothing is guaranteed, but at least they were able to give us that info. We'll see this game become their baby, like all the others, and they aren't going to forget about it without something else on the horizon. Just hold on tight and chill out.. you've waited this long.

99% it's Sendai Highland Raceway Nissan's circuit. It's there were R34 and R35 was developed mainly in Japan and even R35 Nismo.

look at 1:57

"On 28 March 2018 at 12:00 UTC, the online services of the PlayStation®3-exclusive software “Gran Turismo 6” will come to an end."

That's why

Yeah. I had been thinking about it too. But what would be the real implication? in fact, with the end of the GT6 servers, forced the migration to GTS.

will it become part of the circuits and cars of GT6 for the GTS?

I bet after march will have to be pay dlc car and some track, not every thing will not be free ever. They gotta eat too.
Don't forget Kaz is a vice president of SONY and SONY can afford to endow PD if Kaz believes new update can keep players base big. After all, that's what GT Sport needs most, because without players its potential is gone.

They could eventually start subscription plans for GTS but I can't imagine many people paying to pay it monthly, like iRacing. GTS relies on casual players...

the last few versions of this game have been less than impressive, 2 me anyway. I do like they added some cars, but on the lowly (by todays standards) ps1, gt2 had over 600, please and it took 5 years to make it.

With Kaz on stage:lol:
Would be nice:)

I posted in the NSX thread that there will likely be two 12 car updates coming (following the format we had up to this point). 11 of those cars will be carry overs from GT5/6.

One will be all new, the other will be an updated standard.

Given they gave us the Old Supra and the Ft1, the new Supra makes sense. Fingers crossed. I would love to see that special edition Supra from Gt1, but we'll probably get the '88 Turbo...still

The polygon count for a car in GT2 was a few hundred. It took a single day to model it.

That's not so much an apples to oranges comparison as it is an apples to space-faring ninja zebras one.
