PD had the right focus with Group 4 and Group 3. They've gone off the rails with the new cars, they don't fit into any category.
Is February over already? Its also getting late in Japan therefore there might not be a February update
Because of this:
Yeh I think someone counted we still have 25 cars to come between now and end of March, hopefully there will be a Feb update and not have to wait for a huge March update.
Is March the last DLC or the last update we will get? I keep seeing the month of March all over the place.
Last month it was mentioned the Friday before wasn't it?
Announced 20th Jan, released 26th Jan..

Yamauchi’s Tweet reveals that there’s ten more cars on the way, and they’re coming next week:

Still think GT0/3000GT is ugly, just my view mind you.
Some GT1 cars would be lovely. Especially the Ford GT40 LM, Castrol Toyota Supra LM, Toyota TS020 GT1, Nissan R390 GT1, Mercedes CLK GTR GT1, Porsche 911 GT1, Lotus Elise GT1, McClaren F1 GTR GT1 (longnose)., Bentley Speed 8 GT1. Toyota Minolta 88C-V GT1, Nissan R92CP, Nissan R89C GT1, NSX GT1, Jaguar XJR-9, Mercedes Sauber C9. Viper LM GT1, Nismo GT1, Most of these GT1 or Le Mans cars were in previous games except for the Elise GT1 and the Porsche GT1 or the F40 LM as those cars were not in GT5 nor GT6.
I thought PD said there would be more updates afterwards. Plus there was that rumor of 500 cars eventually being featured in GT Sport
My favorite GT1 car is the corvette C5.RThose bolded are actually not GT1 cars. The Bentley came well after the Fall of the GT1 category while both the Nissans, Toyota, Jaguar and Sauber Mercedes are Group C cars. Viper "LM" (which I assume is the GTS-R you're reffering to) is a GT2 class car.
Blue are brand new cars. Green are returning cars from Gran Turismo 6 and Brown/Maroon are cars that used to be standard but became Premium in GT Sport.
So i'm thinking that most of the new cars in the following update would be simply GT6 cars returning and maybe one or two new cars for the series.
I would assume something like this for example:
- Acura NSX '91
- Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta passo corto CN.2521 '61
- Ford Mark IV Race Car '67
- Lamborghini Reventon '08
- Lotus Elise '11
- Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren (19 inch Wheel Option) '09
- Mclaren P1 '15
- Nissan Fairlady Z 300ZX TwinTurbo 2seater (Z32) '89
- Pagani Huayra '13
- Plymouth AAR Cuda 340 Six Barrel '70
- Toyota GT-ONE Road Car (TS020) '98
- Volkswagen Beetle 1200 '66
I predict we are going to see another jdm car return like the NSX and maybe a Group C car like the 787b. I also think we are going to get another corky icon like the Volkswagen 1200 or Fiat 500 to fit in with the sambabus.
I believe they might make a return via a DLC, more so than some other cars i mentioned.I think the Lotus is unlikely since they dropped the other Lotus cars which were in the beta and which I got to drive at Copper Box (my guess would be a license issue as I think Lotus changed ownership?)
Where is it?
I disagree it’s only Feb 20th, still plenty of time to announce an update.I don't think there's going to be an update. The month ends in a week. There's no announcement of any kind.
Maybe March will bring a larger update than January, but February isn't happening.
Good post . I hope we get some good stuff soon, so I can to keep playing the game more.I don't think it's any secret that less and less people are playing GT Sport every day simply because of its redundancy. Let's be honest, offline play sucks, Sport mode is inconsistent in terms of the quality of races given to us, and online lobbies are hit or miss. So without new content (tracks, perhaps the rumored GT500 class, new items in mileage store etc) there's not a whole lot left to keep the casual player coming back. I'm not sure PD can afford to go months at a time without new content (well, I suppose they can, but it wouldn't be in their best interest). I think they probably know this, so I wouldn't write off an update just yet.
So you're saying that PD could slip in one new-to-the-franchise car?Blue are brand new cars. Green are returning cars from Gran Turismo 6 and Brown/Maroon are cars that used to be standard but became Premium in GT Sport.
