Just entered the manufacturers cup group 3 race at maggiore. Was matched with 5 other group 3 cars and 14 group 4 cars at bathurst. On lap 2 i was disconnected from the server. The FIA races are now completely broken i guess.

MASSIVE glitch on todays events for the americas.

Nations and Manufacturers cup are matchmaking on the same room, mixing gr3 and gr4 cars on the same lobby.

I entered the maggiore race (manufacturers cup gr 3 cars). Got sent to Mount Panorama with a lot of group 4 cars. My Viper was A ROCKET on the straights compared to the others gr3 cars, probably the BoP was off with this whole mess.

I won the race with almost 20 seconds in front of the second, got plus 1600 points, but the points went for my nations cup table.

I cannot run manufacturers race anymore today. Its blocked

PD what the hell!

ok so i just finished the FIA nations cup race. In no means am I the quickest driver (far from it) but theres no way i finished 1 min 30 sec behind the leader. I had a clean race with very few mistakes. Im not claiming i should have come in top 5 or even top 10, but theres no way im that slow. Not to mention i watched a acrua nsx who started 2 places behind me blow by me and the guy behind me on the first damn turn then continued to pull away. Im thinking the BoP is actually incredibly unbalanced.

never mind. now i see what happened. the FIA nation cup race i was in was a mix between Gr.3 and Gr.4 cars. I was wondering why i was so far behind lol. GTS is broken not me :)

Same problem as everyone else has had tonight, only I started the Bathurst race only to find 5 GT3s lapping with us. Got disconnected on the grid.
Hopefully they run tonight's events again as Bathurst and Maggiore are a great combo. Just with less multi-class :D

Sigh of relief... Lol.. All my points vanished.. Game crashed multiple times... Huge glitch... Here's to hoping for a speedy fix... Enjoy the racing

Only the best 3 count for the final score.
I won in bathrust race and perfect race ..i got 150% money and exp but only 400 pts ..knowing that my high score is 940 when i did finish in 4th in dragon event ...is it normal to gain less when u finish first in the cleanest race u did so far ??

Yes. Because it depends on the strength of your opponents (their DR ranks). If you win agaisnt DR B divers you will get less points than if you come 5th or 6th in a lobby of DR A drivers, for example.

I have very mixed feelings about both series. But before i start commenting, i want ot point out in advance that i am a descent driver in my class, can score in the top 3 ant qualifying, so the trill is there.
The main problem with the competition lies in several points:

1. You have to race during the week, where if you are not 10 years old, you don't have the time to do it. Family, work, all comes on top. Where is the problem to make the rounds divided into several weekends, two races per day. You will have more time to prepare for the race, learn the rack and be more consistent and driving - which results in much cleaner races and overall more fun.

2. You drive in a very arcade mode, no tires, no fuel, no pits, no setups. I get it that this is a test, but a very boring one, which makes me think that it can be set that way when the servers are open for real. With no strategy you just race like in a lobby, which is uninspiring at least.

3. The rating system is a joke right now. With the strange idea that a clean sector can earn you SR point's. This results in the following - i am a bad driver, i smash others push them off track and all. I need to spend two races 10 laps each at the rear, where i don't get to fight with others and the game will max my sportsmanship rating ? SR must be given and taken only when fighting for a place, this means sportsmanship, not knowing how to stay on the track. This way you can loose a lot if you make stupid things and will be much harder to rank up and go where the real drivers are.

4. Penalty system is the next joke here, especially when we are talking FIA. The most you can get is 10 seconds penalty. It's a total mystery who and when you get it. From time to time i get pushed from 4th place back to 13th, with the guy cutting the corner and uses me as an object to correct his driving line - he is OK, i am OUT for the entire race. Next time i win the fight, go inside the corner, does not cross the cornering line, but the other one collides with me and i am 10 seconds , behind. You loose SR points, but you need to make several sectors clear, which is not a problem and you are back to top rank... ? Penalty must be hard, it must make you pay for the mistake or the lack of sportsmanship. If they make the SR gaining harder, loosing points easier and banning you for the next round (one or two) for making dangerous mistakes, you will think twice when racing.

5. And lastly, the nations cup is a mix of strange and uninspiring races. The game makes you drive an i3 BMW, where it's clear that you must be super clean and very precise at 130km/h, but it's totally boring and very far from racing. It's like taking my Astra with 115hp on the track....

The game has a potential, it's fun, it's beautiful and it's going to grow with more content, but it's need to define itself - is it a racer, is it a fun racer or it's a hard FIA championship, with much to loose and win, but the closest to the real feeling.

Ty for the speedy answer ... but i find it too bad that u cant control it i cant choise the lobby i m in ..

I feel so bad for you guys! Wonder what the crap is going on at PD right now. They need to bring a patch STAT. And fix the settings too, pretty sure slipstream is set on high and grip reduction is set to low. It should be set to REAL. Hm.

I get it that this is a test

You answered on your 1st point, it is a test for now, gathering data - therefore they set races in this way. Regular seasons will be held on a weekly basis, i am sure of that.

Implemented rating system, penalty system and point system is a good idea, yet it needs a lot of tweaking to set it properly. Considering this as a FIA aspect of the game beta test with full audience.

About the BMW i3 race, testing your skills in various classes is good i think. Well, look at the Race of Champions format where champs from different classes race against each other in various cars - each round a different car. So why not test relatively slow race aswell? You say it was boring, i had fun in that race. It just forces you to focus on different thingsthat the high-speed racing.

Happily skipping todays Citroen race, as I feel so stressed in those walls around at night - never been confident to drive at night. Hope I'll prepare good for the Manu cup on Nurb GP instead.

My Lago Maggiore race loaded correctly, and I raced against 17 other people and won, but I received no points or any indication that I actually participated in a race.

Yesterday, run the practice for almost an hour, got kicked out just before qualifiers. It sucks when you can play for only few hours a week just to get ****D when your ready to race. Great job PD

Same happened to me last night. Signed up for manufacturer's race at Maggiore, ran free practice there. When matching was done we were at Mt Panorama. 20 drivers to start with but only 9 actually started the race. Don't know if they were disconnects or rage quite. The wheels are starting to fall of of the GT SPORT wagon.

:)👍
Already aware and began to update OP earlier today. Will finish filling in the rest of the races later tonight.

Just finished the Nurb race. Qualified 6th and took 3rd early on, held it until the last lap and last turns, where a dude pushed me out, and I had to defend 4th on the last turn, the guy behind was really keen on getting past me at all costs. Thanks to the guy who pushed me out I lost the clean race bonus.. :banghead:
- but no issues with practice, qualifying or the race itself.

Will post pictures from the online practice session soon, @Mires and I had some fun in the BRE GT-Rs I made a while back. :D

Today's races were, hmm, weird.

Nations Cup

Q - 10th
R - 18th
P - 18

Didn't feel that i will be able to hold on clean in this race as after practice i can say i hate this layout. Anyway, managed to get a solid lap for Q. That made me feel more scared as i expected not only 1sc corner carnage, but whole race pinball. Kept away from big problems, losing some places, until lap 3 and my mistake in one corner, tapped inner wall, it threw me up to the other wall, penalty loss of places. Then gained few spots back as caught on duo in front of me on a home straight, unfortunately even i was braking earlier than usual, my braking was late and i punted one guy into the back. He was ok, didnt lose a spot, so at least that, i got 10s penalty, served it immediately and from 2 to last place i tried to catch up with guy in front of me. I caught him in the esses of the last lap, he was struggling after wallride, so i wanted to pass him, he pushed me into the wall as he was scared to lose 17th place. Nvm, didnt expected much from this race, so not angry. After all the crashing and those 3 penalties i had i wonder that i still keep my D / S rating.

Manufacturers Cup

Q - 6th
R - 12th
P - 53

Was confident in this race, prepared really well, if i can say, first hot lap i needed to avoid pair of guys battling in front of me, second i cutted the chicane, but was a fast lap. 3rd lap i finally had a bit of space and ran a decent lap, had a small mistake though. In race and first lap i was wide in the (Dunlop hairpin?) and lost few spots, then had great 5-man battle for like 3-4 laps, clean, few taps, but nothing serious. Then I went wide again and lost the pace, in last 2 laps i pushed hard, ran my fastest lap even i was wide again, and in last lap i was 3.3s faster than in the whole race. So a bit disappointed. On my skills, not on something else.

Can’t say I expected anything less of the Tokyo race. I can’t say I look forward to racing it myself. Whole Nurb race I was tense, had to hold in a brown snake.

Anyways here are some highlights from the practice session :) this is what you guys are missing, those practice sessions are great fun! @Mires is in the blue one and I’m in the red one. I need to remake these when I get access to the decal uploader though.
