Yeah but still there's got to be a better reason. I looked at that thread and pretty much i might just agree with you on that. I guess he might be one of those guys. But that is a lot of none related car manufacturers to hate on all of those. Missing out i would say

Yes. What I meant was that popular car manufacturers are too mainstream for his tastes, he wants a bunch of mostly unheard, tiny manufacturers instead. Ergo, hipster.

So you want a game with only Le Mans cars and Japanese imports?
One of the things Ive always loved about GT is how it has so many different categories in one game. If I really did what you said and bought a game for each category instead, that would be an extra $250. But with Gran Turismo, I get all of these types of cars in one game.
And concept cars aren't useless. The new Corvette concept car in the game definitely isn't useless, for instance, as it creates much hype about the game as well as the car.
Just my opinions.

The Redbull X cars, they belong in Wipeout or Ridge Racer
The world war 2 VWs, while theyre interesting they never get used after the top gear race and its just wasted memory space on the disk.
and while its been said before, they need to stop the multiple trim levels, lock it down to top spec and have done with it, sure if there is a non turbo and turbo go ahead, but having 5 different model of Miata or skyline because one has a special edition badge that you cant see, it beyond pointless....
So is different year models when its a subtle facelift (like making black trim colour coded) just give us the later or more popular model and stop the 87 different trim levels of Celica, GTR and Hyundia coupe

I pretty much don't drive the Red Bull or go karts anymore (not saying I don't want them in).
I drove them once in a while but since the update PD made the wheel controllers 200 degrees of steering instead of 900 degrees of steering on them. Which if they return the full 900 degrees in would like to keep them.

The go karts always have 200 degrees of rotation and the x2010 got the full 900 degrees.the red bull that got 200 degrees is the x2011

I use them quite frequently and so do plenty of others, I'm pretty sure the majority doesn't and might regard them as a novelty/bad joke/waste of space which raises the question whether that actually matters.
Maybe their unpopularity right now mostly stems from the limited amount of Premium cars available overall in GT5 (making them stick out more as oddities) but if they were saved for GT6 (assuming it'll include hundreds of cars) I feel they were more welcomed and seen more in a lighthearted fashion (which I think was their initial aim in the first place, a bit of fun).
But if they aren't but for a few (a small niche), it doesn't make them a waste of space, it only makes that they broaden the game for a minority who does use and like them.
The thing with the Kubelwagen/Schwimmwagen is that the timing for when they get used always seems to stand in the way of becoming massively popular, obviously in real life and now apparantly virtually too.

I agree with him. Never in a GT game until now have cars been priced at 20,000,000 credits. It's ridiculous. I personally don't care if the Miura in GT5 is some prototype. If they're going to make it's price stupidly high, then take it out and just put a normal Miura in there so we can drive one by just paying a reasonable amount of money. That Miura prototype we have right now is one car I don't want in GT6 and want to see replaced by a regular one.
But of course, this probably never going to happen since the car is already modeled. I can only hope PD redo the economy in GT6 and make car prices more reasonable.
