The five cars that you DO NOT want in GT6.

Most of the ridiculous duplicates (Skylines, MX-5s, S2000s etc.)
Concept Cars (Just get the actual selling models!)
Cars which do not exist in real life (GT-R LM, Mazda 6 TC etc)

That is all.

:ouch: Research.

Both of those cars are real.

Funny thing about research.

And by "GT-R LM" I'm fairly confident he means this:

Alfa Brera(it looks good in the real world, performs horribly in the game)

Ferrari Boxer(tyres too skinny can't get the suspension as low as the Miura)

Mustang GT PREMIUM(tyres too skinny, can't make it low enough, should sound like the Mach1 or Ford GT)

laramie(good bye)

Pontiac/Toyota Vibe GT(no one uses that car. And if you do, why?[its a rhetorical question])

Mazel tov.

The one I posted, and the one he was probably referring to (since, you know, it's the one that PD made up), is not. If you want to argue that there's no harm in it being in the game anyway, go right ahead. But don't claim that he needs to do "research" about what is real and isn't when your own grasp of that in this thread has been pretty shaky.

Okay. I'm not going to argue that, I knew and agreed. But, I was just saying that the cars he mentioned aren't fake, either. The Mazda might be a little bit OP compared to real life, but, it is real. And, the Skyline's 100% real, unless he's talking about the GT-R [Prototype] LM Race Car.

And lighter. And AWD. And with completely different engine characteristics. And therefore not remotely the same thing as being a real car other than looking somewhat similar to one.

I said "OP." It's a term for "much faster than."

It's actually usually short for for "overpowered," which in the context of this discussion could easily mean how the one in the game has far more horsepower; but ignoring that the fact remains that just because you keep saying that it's based on a real car despite having no reason to believe so other than vague appearance similarities doesn't mean that it actually is based on said car.

If PD want to replace the car with an actual Speed Touring Car Series Mazda6, I'm sure RUstAuSi would have little problem with it when his complaint is about how the car that is in the game is fictional. Which it is. Pointing out that it is superficially similar to a car that isn't fictional doesn't make the car in question any less fictional.

Anyway:

Alfa Brera(it looks good in the real world, performs horribly in the game)

Ferrari Boxer(tyres too skinny can't get the suspension as low as the Miura)

Mustang GT PREMIUM(tyres too skinny, can't make it low enough, should sound like the Mach1 or Ford GT)
All of these are issues with the way the cars are modeled. The Brera being 100kg heavier in the game than it should be (which ruins its performance when it is already heavy) is a reason to want PD to fix the weight. Not remove the car. Ditto the Mustang sounding like crap.

Skylines, Miatas, RX-7s and S2000. Oh yeah, all those mitsubishi 3000s

Where's the x/19? the 914?

The 512 slots between the Dino and 308 in terms of Ferrari mid-engine generations. It is a significant car. I'd like to discontinue it in the game and introduce another vintage Ferrari if I had a say.
The Mustang could have been a proper USA model(manual transmission. The auto just didn't make sense to include in the game when Ford, even with the '05 transmission problems, was on admission to make the manual the Mustang of choice.
I would prefer the Milano to the Brera('07 was the year for the Brera and I'm sure Alfa wanted it in the game) or the 155 estate would have been better in my opinion.

Why discontinue any of them when they are already done, though?

This whole thread, I say again, is a waste of time; everyone's going to realize, that moving forward involves not moving backwards. :banghead: Isn't it obvious? This thread should simply not exist; every car has some place in GT6.

If PD were able to make every car into a Premium, so that they can all be bought from the dealerships, it wouldn't be a problem to begin with. No more UCD, no more problem.

Then, just fix the "broken" cars, like the Mustang's weight distribution, and the Brera's weight... And you've got an awesome game.

Well, no, that's not true at all.

But for the purposes of the Premium cars, there's no reason to scrap one just because PD screwed some of them up.

My point remains; don't scrap a car. Why?

Maybe the "nostalgia" cars (Tank Car, etc.) that aren't normally used for any form of motorsports in real life, but, the Skyline GTS-t is RWD, for example. And the Honda S2000s have all different headlights/taillights, depending on where they're from.

If the cars are even remotely different, why remove them?

Because many, many of the Standard cars aren't remotely different. Since you recall pointing out how pointless this topic is, surely you recall the amount of times that the duplicates were pointed out and explained.

...To say nothing of the imaginary, made-up cars that PD's included, like the mythical turbo Lexii.

Though funnily enough, I'm fine with cars like the FTO Super Touring. The "by PD" cars are fine in my books, as it's their game, and can treat those as the sort of what-if's PD would make if they were a tuning company. The Del Sol LM, for example; I miss that thing so bad.

The turbo Lexus SC300, though, is not a thing. And neither is the Atenza touring car, no matter how much people want to convince themselves otherwise.

The thread says cars you do not want in the game. Many cars we want have not even been included. Many cars from 2010 not even included when the game was released. The cars I'm choosing to omit are models that don't represent the manufacturer as good as a model that's not available to us in the game.

It's amazing that you keep coming back to this thread and repeating yourself over and over. We heard you the first time, you don't want any cars removed.

Do you believe cars should be removed? Well aside from the duplicates.

I've already given my opinion earlier in the thread but my basic thought is that all 800 standard cars need to be removed. So then it's a matter of choosing which cars to remodel in premium. The 100% duplicates except for name, near duplicates and cars a small percentage of people use should be at the back of that queue.

My apologies I remember now.

-more then 6 different types of Miatas (uh 25 or so is quite a lot)
-more then 6 different types of GTRs
-Subaru 360
-Honda Today
-Toyota Prius

Anything else passes the sniff test.
