The five cars that you DO NOT want in GT6.

I actually don't think not having a certain car in game will help at all unless that by removing it you have enough room on disc to include a car worth having but since games rarely fill the entire disc I don't see this being a problem.

With the way PD has designed GT4 and GT5, what is a little annoying is the issue of supply. When winning races, I find it a little annoying that there are handfuls of underpowered compact cars as prize cars, many of which are neither fun to drive or can be used to win future races. Also it can sometimes be annoying when the UCD has four variants of skylines, NSXs, and 3000GTs all at the same time. It's not a big deal, just a little annoying.

Sorry but ll this hate towards the Tank Car and Kei cars and the war VW's specifically make me boil.

GT5's is marketed as "The Real Driving Simulator". Not racing, driving. Part of the pleasure of GT is sampling the variety of machines on offer. Tank Car - silly yes, but it's a beast, unique, and individual and worth more than a load of Mx5's. Kei cars - little fun cars to drive, put them on comfort tyres and have fun. Not convinced? Try telling a Suzuki Cappuccino RM ya not.

The VW's? Again, something different. Something fresh and novel and unique. By removing vehicles that enhance the variety your just relegating it into another racing game... Forza, Need For Speed, Grid, all focus on solely performance vehicles or racecars. GT's appeal is the broad spectrum, it also caters for differing driver ability levels as well.

This so much.
Many times.
Multiply by infinity.
To the power of two.

Basically, people want the most fun-to-drive cars gone...
I'm guessing most of them has lots of ridiculously tuned Lamborghinis in their uber drag raecing garags and are pros in hybriding.

My dislike for this thread is so high it's not even funny... Not gonna view it after this post. >_> But I do want those annoying duplicates gone though, despise them.

Not me. I'm an enthusiast. I have owned a '69 Cutlass S(with a 455cid dropped in by the previous owner), '88Ford Festiva, '90 Saab 9000turbo, new '04 Civic Si, new '05 Odyssey V6, new '01 Accord, '05 Ford Falcon XR8, '86 VW Jetta 2door, '88 Jetta GLi 16V( then did a VR6 conversion in 1999), '03 Daihatsu Charade, '95 Camry(getting rid off end of this month), '92 Passat GL and current '12 Renault Megane Trophy(wife's work car couldn't get the RB edition at the time and the 8:08 just came out after delivery but looking at getting THE NEXT C-Class AMG).

I dig all cars. For this game, if there was a Bentley with a plane engine in it to compete against the Tank Car, then I would gladly welcome it. Or maybe the amphicar to race with the schwimmenwagen. It gets me when PD only pit in one oddball and it just doesn't fit when driving against other cars. Just like the Escudo. It served its purpose in GT2. Now there is no Pikes Peak and not even the Pikes Peak Saab as competition. That's my gripe when it comes to the oddball cars. It is good that cars we would not have known about are in GT but, some more than others, are way way out there.

Why did they even include the tank car anyway its useless people just use it to troll and Leo cars screw them also hate that u have so many different versions of 3000gt they have to have 15 of them and they all have about the same pp.

The only Kei car I would like to keep would be the copen... no that car is terrible. How about the midg... no that truck is just god awful. Ah how about the alto wo... No suzuki went downhill after the escudo.

So are you saying you want them to take them out of the game?

Long story short ... YES. They are just god awful in my opinion. The only thing they are good for is either

A. Trolling People
B. Kei Car Championship
or
C. Getting a 100% Garage

If it was useless you wouldn't be able to use it. As it stands, it has the same use as every other car in the game. On top of that it adds variety to the game, something the game would lose if it was simply excluded.

You forgot about racing outside of the Kei car championship, since they can do that too.

(A) has nothing to do with the Kei cars, if there are more than zero cars and more than one player, your first point is possible.

You haven't provided a single solid reason to remove the cars from the game.

Other people enjoy them. Why take them away?

It does far more damage to remove something that some people like than to keep something that some people don't like. Especially since you don't have to drive them.

"Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you." (Matthew 7:6)

To me, a lot of the Kei Cars are boring. I'm not saying remove those nor the Tank Car since some people oddly enough like them. There are a few exceptions to the Kei cars though for me; I like the Honda Beat, Suzuki Cappuccino, Suzuki Alto Works Sport Limited, Daihatsu Move custom, & Mazda AZ-1.

I'm curious though, what do some of you like about the Tank Car?

The horn and its effectiveness as a rolling/stationary roadblock on small tracks.

I find the cappuccino a fun go Kart handling car. I mean balls to the wall in that thing is fun. Same for the Mazda AZ-1.

The tank car however when the mood is right in drift it. I am really good with it and it makes me and my friends laugh. It is just funny to see some people's reactions to it drifting. I really make people's faces like O_O when i go to Cape Ring North and drift the loop with 80 plus degrees of angle and do it perfect like that all the way up and down. Tandeming with people too is fun.

Also the tank car is a surprisingly great handling car. Great feeling through the wheel while drifting/driving it period.

I have a huge stash of the tank car's horns (horn #112 if you didn't know)

Thank you for your offer, but I have a bunch from someone on my friends list. Although I have used up a bunch. Anyway, you probably have a bajillion friends on your list, since you're in RSM and other race event stuff.

I guess it's a matter of preference when it comes to the Tank Car or something. I just for some reason can't like it; maybe it's the looks of it that don't appeal to me.

As for the duplicates; I've mentioned this before, but whatever: I think they should just be replaced by better cars from their manufacture.

The Tank Car is great fun to drive, it's a bit of a trollmobile in appearance but when you drive it seriously it's great. It's fantastic on snow.

I find most Kei cars dull, unspectacular and at times downright hideous. As far as the tank car goes, I don't really see the point in having a car where there is no other equivalent cars in terms of vehicle category/performance characteristics to race it against. Their inclusion in the next GT game would take away time needed to model other cars, so excluding them from GT6 is logical, from my perspective.

You can always modify them though, it's one of the good things about GT. Take something dull and fix what you think is wrong with it.

There are so many one make races though, I don't see the problem. The Viper Cup (the real life one) only allowed Viper ACR-X's. The Viper Cup (virtual one) that I helped run on this site used only Viper ACR's. One car is enough for a race series.

This is just about the only good reason to not want a car, but the thing is taking a car away does not necessarily provide room for another car.
