The five cars that you DO NOT want in GT6.

Lol just all them?
The genesis is pretty nice I'd actuslly like to see it.

For me it's not so much what cars I don't wanna see its just what cars I want to see less of. I'm sure it's obvious that less million skylines, miatas, etc. Time definitely could of been spent better elsewhere.

Just keep the different spec and different year Miatas, RX-7s, S2000s, but please for the love of God, remove the (EU) version/(US) version. They're basically the same as the Japanese version.

And this list of ugly cars. :P

- Eagle Talon Esi '97
- Ford 2000 Ford Falcon XR8 '00
- Gillet Vertigo Race Car '04
- Panoz Esperante GTR-1 Race Car '98

:yuck:

And the Skylines/GT-Rs must stay. Because Skyline.

I personally would like to keep EU and US spec cars as I like to see the difference of characteristics between the cars. For example the EU Civic Type R EP3 is a much more fun car than the JDM model. I agree with the last part though.

But in GT5 most of those cars are all the same.

If PD include different variants like the 86/BR-Z/FR-S, that's fine. It's like a Camaro/Firebird, Chevelle/Cutlass/Skylark/Lemans. I think there only need to be one variant of a car such as S2K, RX-7, Skyline, etc or a rhd & lhd of one car.

Maybe they could just let us swap the headlights/LHD/RHD?

Specifically, I prefer those all silver headlights, on the all silver S2000. I hate the headlights on the red one.

Edit: Almost makes me want to remove the amber from my Impreza's headlights.

I agree with getting rid of the duplicates and I like the idea of choosing spec level and driver's side in dealership.

I dislike the annoying way that the UCD always has at least one 3000GT/GTO, one GT-R/Skyline and one S2000 variation.

There needs to be less Standards. I have only started the game not long ago and I have about 30 or 40 Premiums out of 200 cars in total (Approx. 160 Standards)

Some of the slow cars e.g. Nissan G#?? (Not sure what it is called) etc. that have no historic value. No I a not trying to hate Japanese cars and I am not asking for a backlash. I just think that there needs to be less because they are only really used as a starter car for Sunday Cup, FF Chalenge etc. I am asking for this simply so we can get more cars like the Pagani Huayra, Koeniggsegg CCX, Honda/Acura NSX etc.

My 5 cars:

1. Pointless duplicates
2. Annoying cars that are only for Starters- we only need a couple of these
3. Toyota Yaris (Personal dislike of mine)
4.Trillions of Japanese cars (I know it is a Japanese game but I would like more Australian, European etc. cars)
5. Run out of cars

That's my 2¢ worth and I am not trying to offend anyone and I do not want a hate audience/comment just because they disagree with my opinions.

I think some face-lifted models should make the exception, provided that there are noteworthy differences in both performance/handling and cosmetically. For example AP1 S2000s rev up to 9000 and are considered less forgiving compared to the AP2s which have a bit more low end torque for daily use but only revs up to 8000. Having both S2000s is okay in my book.

I can't believe I care more about the headlights, than the blaring performance differences, but, I have to say, I could care less about a few pounds of torque. I want those headlights. I love them.

I don't think I'm offended by any car's presence in a GT-game. The oddballs like the Schwimmwagen or the Tank Car were always part of the GT-world. Of course, they're not much use competing with other cars, but if all race in those cars online... can be hilarious. If anything, I could do without the cars that don't actually exist. (e.g. concept cars that were just design studies without so much as an engine)

Most of the duplicates came into the game when they pooled all cars from the EU, NA and JP-versions into the PSP-game, which tripled some of the cars. We will get rid of this again as soon as PD decides not to include standard models anymore. That's when the number of cars will shrink naturally and most of the cars that people complain about will be gone anyway.

As much as people complained about them, mark my words though, people will miss the variety of the standards once they are gone!

I have no idea what is wrong with concept cars, even those that don't really have real specs that PD could pull from. They easily add variety to the game, some of them were functional, and for those that aren't, it's not like a functioning version could be built one way or another. I'm pretty sure GTP has a thread on the Chinese brothers that built their own F1 car mock up and the guy that build a rough Aerial Atom clone.

It's a similar case for the oddball cars. People say "Tank Cars aren't meant for racing". I see four wheels and an engine, it's as useable as any other car. There's also nothing that says that a car needs to be raced to be in GT. A simple lap around an empty track can be fun too.

But with regards to the tank car specifically, knowing how long that would take to model to premium quality and given how many people use it regularly does it deserve a place high in the priority queue? I don't think so.

There's nothing inherently unusable about the Tank Car or any of that. Just like the Schwimmwagen is extremely good of a car in lower PP races (I just won a race with it last night), if the Tank Car's performance was accurate and the PP was lower I'm sure people would actually use it instead of just troll with it.

As far as concepts go, I don't want them anymore just because they allow PD to get away with padding. We have however many R35 GT-Rs already, and we have two GT-R concepts. One of those is a substantially lower quality model with made up statistics that, and I say this even though I prefer it to all of the other ones, sticks out like a sore thumb among the other Premiums. The other one is literally identical to the regular GT-R, except it has a tarp on it. And on top of that, now we have 2 C7 Corvettes and countless BreezFrees concepts and road cars, most of them amounting to nothing more than a spoiler change or whatever (because, since PD made the stats up for half of them anyway, differences of that nature are irelevant). Plus we have the handful of concept cars that we have at the expense of regular production versions.

Yeah, I can live without the Tank Car. I mean, it's a good car if you want a quick laugh, but that's just it imo. I want to drive cars that not just fun, but give me a challenge or that I could not get in real life that I want to have. The Tank Car doesn't really appeal to me in that perspective.

That's a different argument and one that I accept. However, I don't know if PD should give up oddball cars completely.

I would lump a lot of that in with the duplicate cars issue. Unique concepts like the Furai or PT Spyder from GT2 are closer to what I was talking about.

I want to drive cars that not just fun, but give me a challenge... The Tank Car doesn't really appeal to me in that perspective.

I'd bet with proper physics it would be a top candidate.

I still wouldn't drive it. I don't know why, but I just wouldn't want to drive it. I guess it just isn't my preference when it comes to cars and I drive oddly enough a lot of types of cars in various driving games.

- Repeated Miatas, Skylines, Silvias, etc.

- X2010\X2011 and subsequents

- Kubelwagen\Schwimmwagen

- The Jay Leno Tank Car

- The Suzuki Kei cars (except for the Cappucino and the Alto Works)

In regards to oddball cars: In GT MODE there really is no place for these type of cars.

In regards to the S2K: all we needed for GT5 was a '99 2.0L and the '06 2.2L road cars RHD & LHD( no standards).

  • The duplicates, no need to mention which ones. What saddens me though is the fact that there is no hardtop version of the S2000 yet we get every obscure EU and US versions.
  • Kubelwagen\Schwimmwagen\Tank Car and other odd cars that are a complete waste of time and effort.
  • X2010/11. Or make it only available in the Arcade Mode.

...and that's about it.

True. we only have hardtop racing versions. I definitely wanted to see the current Spoon fastback versions. There clearly is a photo of the new aero package version in the Tuning Cars event in GT4 and don't know why that specific car is not in the game. We can select the hardtop for the California and a choice for which hardtop for the S2K wouldn't be too much to add. It is a significant car in our age.

GT Mode is exactly the place for them. There are themed race series, there is no limitation that would exclude a Tank Car series or special event for instance.

Kubelwagen\Schwimmwagen\Tank Car and other odd cars that are a complete waste of time and effort.
As mentioned, they are not. They are exactly like every other car. You can dislike them sure, but saying things with no backing won't do any good.

X2010/11. Or make it only available in the Arcade Mode.
That's a terrible idea for any vehicle. It's a waste of time restricting it, it adds a completely pointless limitation to what you can do in the game, and it won't affect you personally in any way. Even worse is aiming such a thing at one of the most interesting cars in GT.

Not sure about the hatred for the x1.

I like the challenge of keeping it on the track at the ring.

X1 and unnecessary repeats or dumb space wasters *Cough* Dihatsu Midget *Cough*.

I kind of agree with the X1 but the problem is it has already been modelled which probably took PD a lot of time. Also, why does the midget get so much hate? It can be made into a really fun car.

-Repeated Skylines, Miatas, NSXs...
-X2010/11
-Imaginary GT and TC cars (like all the DLC TC cars, GT-R LM, RX-8 LM, etc etc). Replace them with real GT1 and GT3 cars.
-NASCAR cars
-Japanese K cars, that stupid 14 hp things don't make any sense in a racing game

NASCAR cars - the AI would really have to be 10 times smarter than it is to have any semblance of a NASCAR race, and for a couple of tracks it's not worth it anyway.

They're not AI only cars and you can use them on every track in the game.

Every time someone says Kei cars in this thread I die a little inside..
