Boota is even funnier because he's still in her boobs. Or more accurately, on her bra.

Also is the old man actually in her pants?!

Leeron is close to the OAP, which I find strange: isn't he gay or something?
"Dummkopf! What's your problem with gays?"
"None, considering that I seem to live with 2 yuri maniacs..."
"Shut up! All Mari does to me are massages...nice, smooth...massages..."
"Gendo in a speedo, Gendo in a speedo, Gendo in a speedo..."

I can't believe I forgot to say something similar when I went premo.:(

It's okay, you're welcome. ;)

Damn. It all looks like trash. Really, there is not a single show there that attracts my attention... not counting movies and whatnot.

All of it could very well end up being trash. I think the art of Kyousogiga looks quite intriguing though.

Also, Steins;Gate 13 now. At LAST something freaking happened. I still like the glasses girl. Come on, you didn't think a little bullets were gonna distract me offf DAT LEATHER.

I know, right?

DAT LEATHER > Mayuri
Didn't I made the whole world know months ago? :P

WHAT. THE. 🤬.

Get the hell out of this thread right now. And don't come back until you watch everything Evangelion.

He's probably lost the will to continue because of the lack of Mari. :/
"Get a move on, baka-Andre!"

Nope. But it is up there.

NGE needs a Blu-Ray release. :(

...not really. The show wasn't made in HD so unless you just want the show on fewer discs, there's little point. :P

Rebuild is the closest thing you'll get. Which isn't so bad, because in a lot of ways it's better than the original... so far. Not sure if we'll get an ending that rivals/beats EoE, which'll be damn hard to pull off... but we'll just have to wait and see.

Your argument is compelling, considering that I just bought an HDMI cable today for my PS3.
"Took you long enough."

You can play DVDs on a PS3 through an HDMI cable also.

The original series isn't gonna look any better on Blu-ray.

:drool:Too bad Garden of Sinners sold out before it's release, despite being $500.

Also...

Did you get it from Monoprice? That site rules.

Walterpedo I know it won't look better on Blu-Ray. They did do a great job making it look better for the Platinum release and they remixed the audio for 5.1. I'd be happy with just that much for the Blu-Ray. Maybe make it a "complete" collection and throw in EoE on Blu-Ray and of course have an extra disc loaded with bonus material (good bonus material, not the usual anime bonus crap) and include some soundtrack discs (one for the show, one for EoE), and then maybe a little bonus item like a t-shirt, or a pair of Gendo's glasses, or a Pen-Pen plushie or something.

Fair enough, I'd buy a release like that. :D 👍

Since it's being redone and turning out better now, I won't say watching the original series is a must anymore.

But yeah, theeMaddeneddescendant? should still watch it.

Yes it is. There's a lot of good information in the show that I don't think the movies are going to cover.

Nope, a local DVD/games/electronics store actually.

Fixed...even though you have Soryu and her clones.

If Rebuild's ending isn't as bat**** crazy awesome as End of Evangelion, then yes, I'd say watching the original series (+EoE) is still a must. Though I suppose that Evangelion 1.11 could be watched in place of episodes 1-6 as well, because it's mostly unchanged from the show story-wise, except much more badass. 👍

So the ideal viewing order is: Evangelion 1.11, episodes 7-24 of the original show, then End of Evangelion. Nothing confusing about that at all.

Didn't think about that. Pretty sure we're the only ones who would want an Asuka plushie though. Everyone wants a Pen-Pen plushie. :)

Perhaps a plushie of all the Children, then. The dog can play with
Touji, so he can get crippled and dismembered like his NGE counterpart.

They can remaster it you know, like how YuYu Hakusho (A show made in the early 90's.) was remastered for Blu-ray, or how FUNimation took it upon themselves to remaster Dragon Ball Z (A show from 1989.) for Blu-ray. They just need to not screw up, otherwise it could look worse than the original footage.

Take a look at this even, remastering Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal, a great looking OVA from 1999 for BD. Some screenshots in the exact post where I'm getting these from are spoilers, beware. I'm pulling out some non-spoilery screenshots.

Seeing those comparison shots makes me really want an ultimate NGE BD release. Don't know why it hasn't been done. :(

That kind of release sounds too Japanese-like.:PI could see the Japanese possibly doing that at some point due to how well NGE has done there.

Probably after the Rebuild movies are all done.

^ Five letters: SEELE.
"If they actually bothered with anime rather than perving over little girls..."
"What would suggest that?"
"Duh, they're creepy old bastards!"

Fair enough, they can enhance it to make it a bit sharper and more vivid. But like you said... they could end up making it look worse in some ways than the original. I recall reading reviews of the Samurai Champloo BD release where people were complaining about lots of detail lost in certain scenes.

But even even if they do succeed in making it look better, they still won't be able to make it look nearly as good as, say, Rebuild of Evangelion.
