Anyway, got back to Air finally after like two and a half years, finally got past episode 1. So far, I still like the movie better, but we'll see. Currently, 8/10. Also dat opening, I love this song (Part of it is on the Air movie DVD, mainly that main menu.).

On a side-note, I wonder what Key series I'll finish first, Clannad, or Air. Clannad I'm watching at a random rate (Like every series I watch on DVD/BD.), Air, 2 episodes on Fridays, and 2 episodes on Mondays. Episode 13 however for whatever reason isn't legally streaming. Though that's a recap, so I guess I'll watch that whenever I get the series on DVD (It's so cheap now.).

Sorry TC, but weak links as the last one will reveal that this guy hasn't seen nearly enough anime to be qualified to post a top 50 list. No Kenshin? No Mushi-shi? No GitS? This guy should be shot for daring to post authoritatively.

People wondered about it, and he explained reasons here.

Steins;Gate < Steins;Gate
Fixed

yaywalter will appreciate me doing this, right, right?:scared:

Okabe>Steins;Gate

You know something is up when a character is better than the show they came from.:sly:

But there's almost always one!

Saya > Blood+
Spike > Bebop (okay, maybe not, this may be a case of whole>parts)
Kusanagi > GitS
Balsa > Moribito
Totoro > Totoro
Yoko > 12 Kingdoms

etc...

I disagree. An awesome character in a show adds their awesomeness to the show. So unless the show is doing something to subtract more awesomeness than the character adds, a show will always be > its characters. :P

Fortunately for Okabe, Steins;Gate does do things that subtracts from its overall awesomeness IMHO, so... yup. Okabe > Steins;Gate.

But characters make a show. And the strongest character therefore is better than the average which is equal to the quality of the show so strongest character>show. Logic. But discuss, if you disagree with the premise. Urp, wait, you already did. Story may also make a show, in which case characters are merely servants. Ummm...., I still think some characters make shows. Kotomi in Lucky Star + the above mentioned. I guess for me it's a balance. Story is hugely important, but so are great characters, and sometimes, characters make the show.

Characters are a part of a show, but they aren't the only part of a show. A strong character or two could be what makes a show good, yes. But the average awesomeness of the characters =/= the awesomeness of the show.

There are many more factors to a show's awesomeness... characters, story, art, animation, music, etc.

Hikikomori....lolwut. Somewhat truth, but more like an dramatization of the truth.

Yes, it's dramatized, exaggerated, but with a kernel of truth still. Funny, but at the end of the day a SoL drama, and among the best IMO.

What did I start with "XCharacter>XShow"?:scared:

XFactor > XMen <<< Spencer + Swiss Cheese on a blender.
Only one person is going to come close to understanding this.
Oh btw Sephy, if you were wondering why I'm here less often is because you go to sleep too early now.

Turn A ending... overall a pretty chaotic series. Music 9/10, characters 9/10, voice acting 9/10, animation 8/10 (some CGI in the middle episodes was unnecessary and poorly done). Story only 7/10 since at the end of the day, it was somewhat hard to follow and get the point of. I liked a lot of the characters and wish I could've seen their relationships better developed and resolved at the end.

I mean, whole thing was a conflict created by two crazy guys (Aprippa and Gym) who on the one hand say lets throw all aggressive people into conflict and on the other that it's everybody's nature so let's just encourage it since I'm so powerful. And then stupid Guin Leinford. If he's so smart, how is he so dumb? A quick peace with the Moonrace would've given him all the tech he wanted, and he was already loved by the Earthrace and would've been the obvious choice for leader, so what more could he want? And so what was the point of his betrayal and alliance with Gym?

Well, overall enjoyable on several levels, but I'd have to give this a 7/10 at best, sorry. Just not tight enough.
