Forget what you know about K-ON or any other moe show... Ryuuko > Azusa. Come, at, me! *smacks chest*

Ninja news: I see that lurker boy... yes I see you, you know I'm talking about you, you who hasn't posted in here since you received an avatar. :sly:

Do want the Erio figure.

LOL so wrong. Azusa is so much better. And way to repost stuff that Sly posted months ago. :P

My work here is done. AOS- has been destroyed.

True dat. Asuka > lolis.
"I'd let you have a Jaegerbomb, if it weren't for you beating Vettel in F1 2010 in A 🤬 VIRGIN!!!"

Destroyed? Destroyed my PT boat if anything; I sunk your battleship.... Ryuuko's cheerful and funny. Azusa just keeps trying to be all mature around her group... and keeps losing to them.

^ Yeah, and Asuka can hit me in the balls while I look.
*punches me in the balls* "Stop looking, hentai!"

Spontaneously random fun fact: I live in the same area as Funimation studios, which is in Fort Worth.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming...

Denpa Onna FTW 👍. Anyone know any other anime like it? It has to have the same art+animation quality. I usually dont watch the dramatic high-schooler anime, but that series amused me very much :dopey:.

Already tried Clannad..

If you had the money you'd get it.

R.O.D. is an amazing show. It's another one of those must-watch anime.
1. I honestly wouldn't, it's extremely idiotic to pay $2,000 on an out of print anime box set as there are so many things you could do with $2,000 like say import a bunch of anime box sets from Japan, or buy a **** ton of anime box sets here. Or I could go with buying the $370 Fate/Zero box, and save some money.

That's a price point that's past what even Japanese otaku would be willing to pay. Even they have limits. The Dragon Ball Z Dragon Boxes of Japan were like $1,000 each. Box 1 had episodes 1-147, and box 2 had episodes 148-291. That was actually worth the price to Japanese otaku, $2,000, they wouldn't spend that on 12 episodes, and 4 OVA episodes. They'd rather spend $1,000 or less for that many episodes. I would be willing to bet most wouldn't spend $2,000 on a Madoka Magica Blu-ray box set even.

2. Guess that's another show I should try checking out soon, thanks.👍
Erio's mom is crazy. Also wasn't it Denpa Onna that had the screenshot I grabbed where it tells you to see EVA in theaters? That was funny.
Speaking of that show, I wonder if it sold well enough for a season 2 to be realized.

How did it end?

Wow, just wow FUNimation. You uploaded episode 11 2 weeks after the Japanese airing, basically a week late, and you didn't upload episode 12 today (You said Haganai's simulcast would finish before the New Year.). Good gawd, why must they be so inconsistent with Haganai's simulcast? Is it the Japanese company causing problems for them or what?

Also gawdammit Crunchyroll, no new simulcast news until the third? Great...

She was pretty cute in the show... but Erio > all the other Denpa girls.

Truth.

Before Denpa gets a season 2, we need a last episode, damn it.

Soon my friend. Soon.

How did it end?

Last episode is coming on the last disc of the show.

In other news a guy who works at the barbershop I went to today complimented my Jayne shirt. In related news to that the Science channel had a Firefly marathon on Christmas Day.

You're still talking $6 per episode. In comparison, I bought a box set (of a comedy series, not an anime) for €35 (about US$45), and it had 36 episodes - so that's only $1.25 per episode.

Gendodammit, it's late. I'm off to bed.

@Sephy, guess you'll be waiting a while, the last single doesn't come out until February 8th.

@DK, he had a name change!!:scared:

It should be noted, anime has always been expensive in Japan (Well, everything on DVD and BD anyway.), and it's actually because of those prices they make enough money back. Our business model on what we price anime wouldn't work in Japan. It would cause them to not earn enough money back on many shows.

I've talked to many people on various forums who think anime in America is actually underpriced. I can see where they're going with that argument.

I just got a 4 DVD box set of Welcome to the NHK for under $15 delivered, so, yeah, pretty cheap here, but I'm guessing we're mostly gravy. They decide whether or not to make an anime based on what kinds of profits they think they can get in Japan, and export licensing is probably just another 2%-5% on top of that at most.

Not long to wait now.

It's like, as I'm rewatching it, I feel a little bit embarrassed that I promote it so much in this thread, because it's about a guy who's a total loser, a shut-in, delusional, psychotic even, and a sad girl who tries to save him/herself at the same time. But it's about the kind of person I sometimes am or at least feel like, and how life can get better with personal relationships (and leaving your damn alcohol-cigarette-spermy kleenex infested apartment...) And it's done really well, and is funny. And includes real subjects like galge, internet porn, MMORPG's, etc.

While remaining entertaining in a way which most anime fans can appreciate, I think it also achieves pseudo-literary greatness like Catcher in the Rye, because it speaks truly to a fairly significant portion of this generation (more in Japan maybe, but not just there...) NEET's of the world, unite, and become Dollars, and overthrow the world order to find a meaningful place in life... something like that.

Missed being accurate for me by a month. I'm Jan 9th, but I'm more of a Meganekko (mostly the nekko). And although I have had my own fan club, I'm not rich, so no Ojou for me. (Yeah, in Chemical Engineering in college I was mythical, they posted scores by last four of SSN, and folks eventually figured out who was breaking the curve, the guy sleeping in the back of the class and only waking up to participate when the prof wouldn't let the class move on until somebody answered the question correctly... kind of weird when I was approached by fellow classmates and told about their idolization of my amazingness.)
