Still waiting for that pic, Dravvy.

You won't let it go will you?

Fine, here's a pic of a random dude :P

When it keeps locking up you're damn right I am.

That's not solely directed at you, but the card. A card I literally want to fling across my goddamn room.

Ouch, now I understand. Having one of those and not being able to use it properly must be a real PITA :(

Should've bought NVIDIA

No! :P

It's not really the cards fault but my own. See, I attempted to flash it to a 6970 but it failed but I re-flashed it back to the original BIOS. Yet, it wants to be a complete a-hole every now and again and flip me off. :grumpy:

I've never had that problem before and I've had my fair share of failed flash attempts.

This is common sense.

No, no, no!

~OMG! Finally posts pic...of him in the 🤬 library? WTF?!~

Ouch, now I understand. Having one of those and not being able to use it properly must be a real PITA :(

See, that's the funny thing about it: I can use it properly for hours on end but every now and again it'll just stop responding properly right in the middle of gameplay forcing me to do everything, prior to the lockup, all over again.

I just...I just want to rage and punch someone in the eye socket.

UGH. Is GC up yet?

No! :P

My old GT240m did the same thing, but it reset back to the desktop. Updating the drivers was a fix for it.

Also, the art style is not the same.[/color]
There is certainly no art style specific to anime. There are common themes, but definitely no rules. Compare Gungrave to Panty and Stocking to Ichigo Mashimaro to Kanon to Porco Rosso to GitS to Dennou Coil. Anime can have any animation style.

This just makes me glad that I don't keep up with new anime.

Oh, look who's here?

Okay.

Perhaps the Japanese could take a couple hints from it though. The fights sure do keep up a good pace and are a treat to watch.

Actually, my friend, that would be America taking hints from Anime. I have noticed a lot more American animation studios steering towards the anime style.

But, if you want good anime without all the explanation, there is plenty. Rin: Daughters of the Mezzanine did some explaining, but it was very brief and simple.

Rideback doesn't have much explanation. GITS doesn't, Bebop explains nothing outright. Wolf's Rain explains everything over the course of the show. Inuyasha is good. Elfien Lied's good but messed up...and those are just the ones I can think of.

It comes back on the 19th. We've been over this 2 million times. :P

So now it's three?! Three weeks in a row?

Mother:censored:.

In case any of you don't know who Michael is (no, not me) here:

The main problem I have with most Animes is that they always take a large amount of time to tell each other why they're so powerful.
Just because they do it in Dragon Ball Z doesn't mean every show does it... Drop Naruto and watch Gintama instead, and least it's funny. :P

He watching them awful Shooooooooooounens!
And yet you're watching some/have watched some in the past year.

Points to Gintama, Soul Eater, Bakuman., Bakuman 2., InuYasha: The Final Act, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

He gets on pretty much any Shonen's case, except when he doesn't know if a title he's into is a Shonen.

Hey buddy, I dropped Gintama and Soul Eater...

Bakuman is awesome as a drama. Just because I like one or two shows doesn't mean I'm into it overall.

I'll have to check out some of the stuff posted here. I'm always interested in something new if it's good.

But what I mean by that is that Avatar was different than most shows I've seen. When it comes to fights, it mimics Disney more than other stuff in certain ways. Now I'm sure I'll catch a bit of flak for this but Kim Possible had some good fighting in it. (used to watch that however long ago)
Going back farther, Aladdin had some pretty good Sword fights and there were probably a couple other shows that I forget.

But what made Avatar stand out in terms of fights was that it didn't always come down to each character's power. The fights were very technical and intense. It wasn't always hurling a giant ball of energy at the other guy or spending the entire sequence getting wrecked, only to transform at the last minute and wipe the other guy out in one blow. The fights went back and forth a lot and the didn't waste much time staring each other down and getting all sentimental about their past.

Not that the show was perfect, what I said might look like massive praise, but I'm just pointing out what I liked in it. :)

I really appreciate that type of fight most. Naruto, Bleach, and yes, even Dragonball Z get into those types of sequences occasionally. When they do, it's great, but mostly it's just filler scenes and flashbacks the whole time.

That kind of stuff makes sense when it comes from a Manga first. The big splashes, quickly scrolling backgrounds, extra emphasis and detail on every move... You really can't show an extensive action sequence in still images the same way you can with a fully animated video. A lot of Animes are still very rooted in the Manga that they came from, not just content, but overall style. (not that that's really a bad thing, just my opinion)

I'm sure all that's been said a thousand times though. I don't usually end up discussing a anime a lot. Not many people I know even watch any, perhaps I'll find some good stuff here. :)

Who watches anime? I watch anime

What animes do you like? Mainly One Piece, Bleach is good too.

Are you into anything else directly related to anime? Hmm....not really, I do have an account in YouTube where I have uploaded One Piece and Bleach themes

What is your fav. anime series? One Piece

What is your fav. anime movie? The One Piece OVA's , specifically the "Strong World"

EDIT: Can anyone provide me with any top notch anime series? Besides One Piece, Bleach, Highschool Of The Dead and Naruto.

I know it's not anime, but Batman Year One has some of the best martial arts fight scenes of animated series/movie I've ever seen and is really a great movie. GITS has some fluid fight scenes, but not a lot. Although, the GITS movie did have the original Matrix Lobby scene at the end.

I think Bebop has the best martial arts sequences of anime series, personally.
