Just finished senran Kagura 2/10. The only good thing is the Boobs.
Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo and Zettai Karen Children: The Unlimited both 7/10.

Man. Bakuman III is so full of hype. Episode 24 was killer. You guys are missing out like crazy.

Stop watching your booby shows and kiddy action flicks, Bakuman fills you up with more excitement with every episode.

Kiddy shows? I watched 30 1/2 hours of anime last weekend featuring Trigun, Ghost in the Shell and Cowboy Bebop. None of them are kiddy/booby shows. (Although, some could argue GITS is.) And I have 27 1/2 hours to watch this weekend featuring the rest of GITS and Black Lagoon. So...yeah, speak for yourself.

I used to like the big 3, but as I grew older, I slowly grew tired of them. It reached the point where I was wondering why I was watching Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece.

I like Trigun. I mean...with the English dub, it's Johnny Young Bosch playing a character that's completely and utterly opposite of Ichigo and no where near the Green Ranger, which just makes Vash funny. And, yet, I love the story and characters, as well. It's all very unique and different. And, even after a few months or years it still feels the same. Unlikes some animes like Inuyasha, which I can't even watch in the dub anymore 'cause it's half hour episodes of whining. Granted, the Japanese is still much much worse, but the American version isn't any better. The only redeeming quality of Inuyasha is the "sit" command which is hilarious on a lot of levels. But..beyond that, it's not that great.

I still need to refresh my Wolf's Rain series as it's discs are scratched and most of it's unwatchable. Which sucks. But, I still have GITS, CB and BL. It's all good.

Wait...oh yeah. I keep forgetting this is a gaming forum with gamers in it. I like Trigun. I said it. You don't like it, that's you're choice. Just like I don't like Gundum or Eveogellion or 99% of mech series. Mechs are boring to me. (Especially with EVERY game getting Mechs. Even Saints Row IV is going to replace the tanks with mechs.) But yeah. I find Trigun entertaining. I don't care if you don't and I don't care if you think less of me for liking it.

Convince me

Lol speaking of dubs, I was on the airport shuttle behind Steve Blum on Sunday leaving the con. It's funny to hear him talk and occasionally hear Spike's voice saying normal random stuff.

I had no idea there was a Faye avatar available here.

Wait. You read the manga and weren't pleased?
Where did you get that idea from his response?

You were supposed to go on about how great Bakuman. is (I read part of the manga before the anime got even greenlit, so I should know full well), how it's an amazing life story series to convince him to watch it.

Well another person told me how the manga wasn't worth reading. So I got the impression the manga really ain't that great after all.

Sly Guy

Oh okay. Well the show rides off your "Feels good" emotions.. and.... the protags (Mashiro and Akito) work their butt off, struggling through hard conditions to become the best Manga artists in Shounen Jack. Both of them dreamed of being manga artist since high school, ended up dropping out and started writing and drawing manga. They took that risk but made it through. Mashiro makes a promise with a girl he liked about getting married if he ever became successful enough to get an anime based on one of his mangas. 6 years later... well, you can watch the rest to find out what happens.

First season's okay, but once you get to the point where they're pretty established as artists, the writers are able to create tension and some kind of struggle each episode. It's usually resolved pretty quick like Space Brothers, but unlike Space Brothers, the two excel further with new achievements out of each conflict. The payoff of such doesn't reward you at a grand scale per se, but it's enough to keep you watching... Kind of like a greater Space Brothers with less "seinen".

Lol.

I wouldn't mind that much if he wasn't an idiot the whole damn show.

I thought that was his cover for the whole show. He acted like a goof to make people laugh and bring them happiness 'cause that's how Rem taught him how to act. In truth, he is a brilliant gunman and strategist, always finding crazily ingenious ways to get out of impossible situations. Him acting like an idiot is part of the show. And really, I think anyone who doesn't appreciate acting like an idiot every so often takes life too serious. Which...you watch anime, otherwise you wouldn't be here, so...why is Vash so stupid, again? He's more serious than 90% of the other anime characters out there. He may not be as serious as Ichigo, but, again, Johnny Young Bosch playing those to characters is, to me, a testimate to his acting ability considering Ichigo and Vash would NEVER get along for the reason you stated. Yet, in the end, Ichigo and Vash are fighting for the same cause. They're really just two sides of the same coin....albeit very different sides, but still, they're both essentially superheros. One is a spirit and the other is a plant.

Look, Shou. Cano has been butthurt about Vash's character and forever holds a grudge like a stubborn girl who hasn't grown up. He's been explained to about Vash's nature and insists on denying that. So while your attempts are valid, they fall upon deaf ears because of the fool he can be. That said, if Cano disproves your tastes, you can use this against him.
