I think some people here are far overrating Trigun, whilst others are far underrating it. It's a decent show, but it's not good enough for me to consider it a must-watch.

The only reason why I'm encouraging Cano to finish it is because of his excessively negative opinion of the show, which I feel the ending might rectify to a certain degree.

I just hate to see shows get crapped on by people because of their own close-mindedness, it really pisses me off as a matter of fact. Trigun's honestly not that great, so Cano's close-mindedness towards it doesn't irk me that badly, but when people reject the idea of anime as a serious storytelling medium because it's animated and therefore must be kiddie stuff, or when people accept that anime can be a good medium for dumb action-oriented shows but that telling a serious or realistic story through anime is pointless and therefore not worth their time... that stuff really gets on my nerves. But again, this is just a non-Trigun related tangent... Trigun most definitely does not fit into the idea of serious and/or realistic anime I'm talking about here, at least until the very end.

Ah, I see. You're a troll.

Carry on, forget that I tried to have an actual discussion with you. Clearly it was a waste of time.

Yeah I found it's always best to just skip over Cano's posts. And don't let him ruin the thread for you.

I couldn't stand the art of code geass.

Dat Clamp, doe. The things I would do to C.C. and Euphemia. Mmmmm.

Cano is not a troll, she is a trap. My horrible grammar makes me a troll. Kenshin mindlessly killed a uncounted known of swordsmen during a civil war. Vash was led into a trap. Kenshin took a vow, Vash just didn't like killing.

Impatiently waiting for Final Stage. I kinda skimmed through the rest of the manga and it will be interesting to see how it's done. Maybe like 12 episodes, I don't think they can stretch the battle more than 3 or 4 episodes.

The new movie is a remake of First Stage, but the artwork looks amazing.

Finally, Go! Go! 575's first episode was subbed.
It's a shame to be so short (5min), but that art style is so lovely.
Besides being Japan's best Trance producer, Hiroyuki ODA is also a great illustrator.

I was confused at first since your avatar and that image are illustrated by Kanzaki Hiro, who also illustrated the official art for OreImo. Turns out they are the same person, I guess Hiroyuki ODA is his stage name.

Wait, what. I must get acquainted with his work.

Hiro Kanzaki(illustrator), Hiroyuki ODA(Trance producer) and Hanasoumen-P(Vocaloid Producer) are all the same person.
He is a true GENIUS!

I love the newer style for ID.

Is rather watch Witch Hunter Robin, anyone remember that ?

Oh dear yes I do remember. I had such high hopes for that show and it was an immense let down. Worse finale ever and maannnn it SO dragged out. 13 episodes would have sufficed. Or, say, 0.

Cano is stating that it's categorically crap, which is a grave injustice to the show. I wouldn't want someone else who might enjoy it to read his opinion and think that it actually applies universally.

I actually hope I'll save people the waste of time. I'm still way glad I stopped Lol-blade from watching that crap.

I guess this is why ARM exists :P

Yeah, all this above at ARM = non-discussion, just kisses and innuendo 👍

Two things: I'm sure the ending will make my opinion on the show way better. I know that if it wasn't at least decent you guys wouldn't rave about it that much and insist me to get there. But the thing's so damn lame it really, REALLY is difficult to reach.

Another: By now I want to think you're not refering to me as the guy that sez anime is not a serious story-telling media, right?

Yeah I found it's always best to just skip over Cano's posts. And don't let him ruin the thread for you.

Yet you still always jump on and defend it. Just admit it, it's fun.

Cano is not a troll, she is a trap.

Agreed. It had some good moments and I enjoyed parts of it, but the ending was terrible and kind of ruined a lot of it.

Just watched BioHunter for the first time. Wonderful wonderful. Wish there was more of it. It's right up my alley with the Horror/Sci-fi, and awesome animation of the late 80's.

I'm just trying to remind everyone that we need to be tolerant of other people's opinions. There's no room in this thread for bad attitudes.
Man, Space Dandy ain't doing anything. :indiff:

Agreed, I mentioned it in a post a few pages back when I saw the first episode. Very disappointed. :(

Dandy is in some sort character development phase from the look of it (introduction of characters you see in the OP, n stuff). Hold your tits.

I think the problem is some of us enjoy giving each other a hard time and some newcomers aren't in on it. For example, the way Cano and I talk to each other is all in good fun but yeah I guess if you aren't used to it, it can be off-putting. I forget sometimes that this is GTP. I guess we should keep that kind of talk on ARM where we are all used to each other. I'll try to keep myself in check since even recently I got a warning simply because GTP.

It's one thing between friends but that hasn't been the case here... The attitude in question is being extended to many people other than the original jokers who don't mind. Instead of it being back and forth for just you and cano I'm seeing an antagonistic and intolerant attitude being extended to both old members and new guests.

So, would you guys say getting Madoka Magica on Blu-ray was worth the 7 euro difference, considering the only Blu-ray player I own is my 80GB PS3, and that the only non-PS3 owner I know who has a Blu-ray player is my brother?

^I would; not only would it be on fewer (one I'd assume) and it shouldn't matter to much assuming that the PS3 is in your entertainment center/living room/bedroom.

Less Clutter = Happier Me

Than the DVD? PS3 is a better choice because there are more things that it can do than just play Bdvds. Like Jacnob said, less clutter.

You have a Blu-Ray player, why not, since price is not an issue?

Or the more obvious question, how could you watch DVDs anymore after witnessing the glory of high definition?
I swear DVD's become so much more crappy once you've experienced HD.
You'd be like "How the hell did I ever watch that?"

Get both and be a true collector. :P
