Aaaaaand I watched Madoka's third movie, Rebellion. My head still aches. I don't even, even if I understood it fully. But it's such a sad movie.

Greetings everyone, been a while.

So two things going for me:

1. I've recently come across a new show called "Space Dandy". I was unsure if I should watch it until I found out it was created by the same people that made Cowboy Bebop, then I thought "well, I'll give it a chance". So after watching two episodes, I found it actually funny. Absolutely wacky. Am interested in catching every episode (though I still am mad at myself for not catching the first episode.

Yeah, we really need to watch it again as some things didn't come out as clear as I'd like, specially in such a complex context. But man is it dense.

It wraps up the Madoka story quite well too. Well, it doesn't wrap it, it... twists it.

The only thing denser than End of Eva is particle physics. (Hence why both fascinate me.)

My favourite thing about End Of Eva has to be the shot where, if you play it in slow motion, you can just about see Unit 02 crushing a JSSDF soldier under its foot. Such attention to detail. The Rei that appears when Misato explodes after making out with Shinji* was a pretty cool freeze frame bonus too.












*This is why you shouldn't make out with Shinji. Well... That and the fact that he's a minor.

The movie is dense not in the same hyper-violent, the world ends-sense as EVA, but instead on how it twists the world of the entire cast and affects them. It's way different, but it's just as amazing a mind**** as EoE if you ask me.

He's referring to the image that appears briefly in EoE of Asuka's rotting corpse covered in maggots. I don't particularly care for it.

Not condoning her behavior, but it's just how she deals with her very tragic past. I would help her.
