I watched Bakemonogatari. Meh. Love Tsubasa, though.
Hanekawa has always been mine.

But oh my god I haven't even been watching monogatari second season. I loved everything before it to bits, so I've only watched the first episode of Second Season obviously. But it would appear to be even more excellent than the ones before it.

Second Season is really worth watching. Far more focused on plot and character interactions, and pretty much all the "fan service" goes out of the window, which I appreciated.

I did feel that previous series did have slightly wittier dialogue however, but hey, you win some you lose some, I guess.

Actually, that reminds me of another issue I have with Monogatari. The character designs. I really find most of the character's designs really aren't visually appealing, perhaps excluding Ararararararagi. I think my problem with them is that they're not pleasant to look at, a la Death Note, but they're not interesting to look at either, like in Steins;Gate.

Along the same lines, is it just me who feels that the last Second Season opening highlighted the need for a comeback for the old Shoujo art style? How often do you get a modern anime that looks like this?

Perhaps I'm just sick of moe.

Scrap that, I AM sick of all the moe.

So, KLK ep. 14 was awesome.

People watched Oreimo because they enjoyed it. I tried watching it because it was popular and found it to be utterly unspectacular, just another overly moe slice of life show with a weird (although amusing) twist to it. From what I saw, Oreimo didn't really have a little sister fetish itself, just the character. (although I really didn't watch that much.) Nisemonogatari was really messed up in that regard, however.

I wound up watching the first few episodes of Bakemonogatari after some people on another forum insisted I should try it, and wound up watching it occasionally when I felt like watching something with completely bizarre dialogue and really good music, and then wound up actively following it when I got to last year's series and it actually became good. (I'm honestly amazed that I got that far. I really hated the second series. A lot.)

Oreimo worst ending 2013.

Watched Kill La Kill Ep. 1 tonight.
Intersting mix of styles, not entirely original but not at all a copy. I'm giving it a cool over a meh but not ready to say sub-zero. :P

Will watch ep2 soon and eventually catch up if it is worth my time. 👍

KLK, very entertaining series.

Indeed, it looks as such.
Very exciting style and animation.
The plot seems odd because there is such weight behind trivial positions and issues but otherwise it looks to be a great show somewhere between FLCL, a typical high-school drama, and full-on revenge for my father.

I'm going to watch ep2 but not tonight.
Will mention ep2 when I get to it. :sly:

Afaik there's hardly any pointless moeblobbing in the entire series.

@uMadson?, you poor soul. Make up for having to sit through that travesty by watching Second Season.

I criticising moe in relation to Monogatari (which for a modern anime is relatively moe free), I was criticising moe in general.

----------------------------------------

During the good episodes of Kill La Kill I get the same feeling I got from FLCL, from the worse episodes I just get bored or frustrated. It's a mixed bag.

It's not as clever as FLCL, however.

If I had a dollar for every time FLCL was mentioned on GTP this month...

Screw it. One more Fooly Cooly avatar.

Nah. It's not going to sell. I did like that they drew the OP in that style though. The song and setting of the visuals were perfect for it.

Making symbolic connections, thoughtless watchers. It is interesting, don't discourage thinkers and meaning.

@Cano, I found a Homura figurine in the works that looks promising:

@Technicolors Off another forum. I passed that KLK comic onto that thread just now. This is the beauty of the internet.

but I did want to comment on how I don't fully agree with connecting Harime and Jakuzure to the Chakra points. I can't see how they could be related to the description written there. With the others they are pretty close though.

I really like the first panel on the subject of Legendary Creatures being connected with characters.

normally I don't care but that's really ****ing interesting.

I'm not all for deep stuff because I've been too exposed to know-it-alls thinking they have a PhD in philosophy when all they do is whine about society, I've learned from them that being deep is a huge waste of time. That infographic is a completely different thing altogether though, it's something really worth reading.

Especially since it makes Satsuki-x-Ryuko more believable. :embarrassed:
