@BayneHamlin1121 and I decided to try Ore Monogatari!! out just for kicks... what we were greeted with completely blew our expectations. Needless to say, it's hilarious fun.

I've heard its enjoyable too; I might pick it up. Currently blowing my brains out with Love Live.

It's all Maki's fault...

I'm usually not a shoujo kind of guy. Is it still g00d?

omg
I get the feeling that I should watch Love Live, but it looks all happy and stupid.

Finished Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt now. That dub man..... Just that dub....

Was really fun to watch and I enjoyed it despite its raunchiness which also was fun đź‘Ť

I'm liking the OST. Suites the show very nicely.

That after credits scene from the last episode though was just...... ugh

I'm kinda sad now because it doesn't look like it will get a season 2:(

Welp, guess I'm watching Welcome To The NHK tomorrow

Nishikino best girl. Actually, short hair ftw.

Suits.

Ore Monogatari!! is a bit stupid at times, but only in a hilarious way. I would suggest giving the first episode a go @Not_A_Guest.

So does that mean I can watch the first episode and say I finished it then? Just so I can say I ended it on a positive note? :dopey:

I'll take a look đź‘Ť

EDIT: Just watched E1

Something bad is going to happen with Suna and this d00d. Just my intuition.

What do you guys aspire to do with your drawings?

To put it simply... to make something that's 'cool', and would make people who are not deep within a manga/anime culture go 'hey, that's neat.'

Or is that not what you were asking?

Tis my source. Here I took the time to document a timed drawing practice that is an exercise to loosen you up. Most drawing beginners go into drawing with the intent of making as little mistakes as possible. This is detrimental to having a smooth workflow as you end up getting too worked up with details.

eur5SyO.jpg

Plotting stuff down first is how you will get proportions correct and will save you trouble later down the road. If I asked you to draw this picture in 10 seconds, you wouldn't be able to. But what would you do under those circumstances? While it takes a few tries to get tuned up, I'd begin prioritizing what is more important to put down. I think my main goal is to answer the question: "How many parts of the image do I need to include until it's recognizable while staying within the time limit?" "How much can I compromise and where can I improvise?"

When I start answering these questions through thoughtful scribbles, I think less about what the drawing looks like and start seeing the entire picture as a whole. When that happens, I can start seeing things more differently when drawing from observation.

So here's the process of the drawins above:

-During the 10-second drawings, the goal was to forget the details and draw fast. It's a warmup.

-Once I scribbled faster, I gave myself an extra 10-seconds to get in more content without sacrificing speed. I failed to do that a few times.

-I decided to skip to 60 seconds since I was running low on paper. By 60 seconds, I should be starting to lay down more details than I did before. To help ensure I'm at a good pace, I glance over my timer every now and then.

-Later, I decided to end at 10 minutes. I could've went to 30 or 60 minutes. This kind of build up is probably more productive (for developing technique and mentality) than going in with the idea of "producing one good drawing" in the same period of time.

For the dudes committed to this weekly drawing thing, give it a try if you like. Oh, and draw with your arm as much as you can. You will draw more loosely this way.

P.S. You can't draw from imagination if it's not in your memory. Repeatedly drawing the same thing over an over helps you memorize what you're drawing.

-> Didn't see this coming, a new kuudere appears!

^ From Non Non Biyori. Is this series good? Seems enticing.

I heard it was cute at the very least.
But I don't think it actually goes anywhere.

High School DxD's budget went down the drain, or at least it seems.
Whatever. I've watched 11 episodes of it (the third season), I might as well go through with it.

Week... 24: C.C. (Code Geass).

Definitely not an unpopular one, but heck, the expression of melancholy is illustrated so well in my eyes.

Unfortunately, I don't remember the artist name.

@SVX. That drawing. Misete.

@Techicolors:

Word. Things are just about to wrap up like every Holy Grail ending.

Can't say I'm no longer liking the "save everyone" ideal anymore. I mean, yeah Tohsaka is doing a grown-up thing (for a lack of a better word) by saving Shinji despite the self-centered scumbag he is, at the same time, it feels like a pointless struggle.

New week. New round of work. What can you come up with this time 'round?

Tag's wrong :P

Well, if Rin didn't save Shinji she would simply die along with the rest of humanity. And the "save everyone" mentality both Rin and Shirou strive for is much more different than what Gilgamesh wants. Gilgamesh merely wants to recreate his Mesopotamian civilization in the modern age, and the only way for him to do that is to exploit the Grail's contents and let it engulf humanity. Plus if they didn't save Shinji that would mean abandoning everything Shirou has learned from his fight with Archer. Even Shinji himself is worth saving when you consider Shirou's changed mindset with heroism.

I've got some ideas coming around. Hopefully I can get some in very soon

I think I need to watch this...

In other news, this thread's page number signifies the decade some of our parentals were born.

In other other news, NHK is good, nearly done with it. Death Parade is next.

Rule 34's a 🤬, from time to time.
No, not Rule 34.

It's just that I'm so one-track-minded that I see long green hair on the front page, and knowing Touhou's track record on Danbooru, think 'Ah, Sanae! Let me go save this."
It usually is her, but last time...it was C.C. And I was just like "Oh. OK."
:'(

*sigh of relief* Thank goodness it's not Rule 34's wrongdoings.
