So I decided to watch some of the episodes of KLK that I didn't like, to see if anything changed,

It did, I like them a lot more after a second approach, they are still the weakest episodes for me, but I can now leave KLK now knowing I enjoyed it (moving the rating from a 6 to an 8).

I blame my high level of expectation on my first time around, maybe I should've been skeptical like @SVX .

I generally try to watch shows with an open mind so I can see if I really enjoy it or not. For that same reason I refrain from actually reading synopsises about the show too.

Since watching Your Lie in April, where I was told not to do any form of research about it beforehand, I've found it to be enjoyable allowing the show to present what it's actually about. It leaves it up to the writing and story telling rather than some dude on a computer.

I recently finished Kiznaiver which I really enjoyed. If I had read up a lot about the show, where it had been given some really poor scores, I think it would've skewed my viewpoint a bit. Thanks to Kiznaiver, I also stopped rating shows, but that's a whole different tangent.

I tried that with Deadman Wanderland, problem is when a show ends up being extremely vague, it just extremely irritates me more than it intrigues me, so I have to have a quick look at the synopsises so I don't just get 🤬

I also forgot to mention RWBY vol. 4 is coming out on the 22nd. Man this October is going to be splendid. This, Hibike, and Gotham. 👍👍

Nearly walked away with the entire set of NGE episodes for $15 the other day at a video rental store closing down sale. Then I discovered the episode 19-21 disc was missing...

Thinking of the One Year War. If you account all the side stories (08th MS Team, Blue Destiny, Thunderbolt, etc) including the MSVs, you'll notice that everyone had a damn Gundam during 0079. A bunch of savages.

Seriously though, Kill la Kill is a damn fine anime, and it holds a special place in the hall of fame for being so good I watched it all the way.

The sport where players knock each other off the stage using only boobs or butts. The action scenes animate crazy butt attacks such as high-speed strikes to the solar plexus, strikes to the face to dislocate your jaw knocking you out cold, and flexing your butt hard enough to rebound a strike. It's over the top and reminds me of stuff like KLK or Legend of Koizumi.
