Some of the Cinderella Girls are even younger than that. And if you see some of the stuff they say... Like, no. Just no.
 
A lot of the characters are only minor, unvoiced characters in the game, but the youngest I think I saw was 9. Given that there's also a couple idols in the game in or approaching their 30s, it only serves to make the whole thing even odder than it already is.

Ok, so you are currently near at the end of first half of the series. Still long way to go though. Btw hope you can pass through the middle and whole filler episode because near at the end that is where things get a bit warmed up.

The earlier adaptations as from studio deen. honestly their adaptation is just average. i would hop onto reading the VN when you're done, then insure it's the only true canon

There is a difference

The anime is based on a Visual Novel. There are three routed: Fate, Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven's feel.

Studio Deen animated the Fate and Unlimited Blade Works route (UBW done by Deen) was done as a movie while Ufotable did Fate/Zero (prequel to F/SN), Unlimited Blade Works and is currently finishing up Heaven's feel (movie).

The Fate route was animated ok while I didn't like Deen's UBW. I liked Ufotable's UBW and I'm excited for their interpretation of Heaven's feel.

Still got my sights on Idolmaster. The reason is, for all its many and varied problems, there are a couple of seriously good positives that I'm taking in.

That's the one thing I knew about it going in, being based on a visual novel. Their being 2 studios doing work on it is very confusing though! I'm not sure what the proper order of things is exactly.

It's all on preference. You can start with Fate/Zero and then watch Deen's Fate/Stay night. Personally, I prefer Ufotable's Unlimited Blade Works over the movie and then you can wait on heaven's feel. :lol:

I'm not really into Fate franchise before (watch some episodes of early Deen adaptation and only watch the first episode of Ufotable's UBW) but this one get my interest after knowing the main character VA is Sakura Tange which also voiced Kinomoto Sakura in Cardcaptor Sakura. I didn't play the VN yet, but I looking forward to the anime adapted by Shaft :
