another AMV by shaft

apparently it's based on an upcoming film Fireworks, should we see it from the top or bottom? https://myanimelist.net/anime/34498/Uchiage_Hanabi_****a_kara_Miru_ka_Yoko_kara_Miru_ka

Already watched it, pretty animation btw. Music is okay I guess. Btw the female vocalist, Daoko is the same person who sing in a viral "Me!Me!Me!" music video. I like her voice too, especially after I listened to one of her single "Girl"

Also, can KyoAni stop teasing the fans? I can't even wait for Violet now..

I love Daoko! She's one of my favourite Japanese singers. Definitely check out her work - Shibuya is a great song.

I've taken a short break from mastering idols to take in the new Touhou game.

I think it's rather good, albeit fairly unremarkable next to most Touhou games. What is remarkable is the fact I managed to clear it on my first real try. This is not the hardest of Touhou games. In many ways, it's the polar opposite of its predecessor, LoLK. That was the best Touhou game in ages so HSiFS would have needed to be something special to top that. However, it has its own share of positives. I'm surprised that I've taken a liking to the soundtrack this quickly. It took me a long time to fully realise how great LoLK's soundtrack was, but HSiFS has songs that are hitting the spot straight away. I thought the final stage was on the whole very impressive. And gameplay-wise it's perfectly fine, because the game-changing releases are actually fine. At least, they were in the hands of Cirno. With the shot I took I got 8 of them so that made survival just that little bit easier. That, combined with the shot being ideal on stages and the bosses being just that little bit easier, meant I could clear the game in one shot.

There's a lot more besides, obviously, but it's still too early for me to properly judge all of the game so I'll wait and see, and give it a closer look soon. Then I'll write about it in full detail on my blog.

Oh, and C92 is now on. Waiting keenly on doujins from it. Someone has already scanned the new, fourth Tawawa doujin, which is probably not a surprise. I'll scout for some more doujins once it's over on Sunday.

Completely unrelated to the picture:, I finished the first season of Haikyu. I should watch more IRL volleyball matches. It would seem sport anime have fairly straight-forward story telling and standard character designs and motifs, but I think it's the adrenaline of the match that keeps you wanting more.

I imagine Kuroko no Basketball was infamous for the wild unrealistic maneuvers the people pull off.

Looks like the anime about sidecar racing "Two Car" seems promising by their first PV. It will premiere on October 7. Hopefully it will focus on racing aspect, sportsmanship and serious relationship between main characters. Also, the preview give me a TT (Tourist Trophy) racing vibe :

I think this goes for all sports. Especially when reality comes up with something out of this world. I mean, the Premier League started last night and the game could've been something straight out of Captain Tsubasa. Finished 4-3 and was a thriller from start to finish.

Also, if you think Kuroko has its fair share of 'unrealistic' manoeuvres...

And bear in mind that Dwight did his before Kuroko was a thing.

I'm just sitting here waiting (probably in vain) for some sweet, sweet AsuMari doujins to come out.

SVX
The fan service shot has me wary, but I really hope it turns out good.

Me too. It is obvious that the studio often adapting light novel with loads of fanservice and harems, that quite worrying tbh. However, as 10th anniversary project they might go serious with this one imo. Been a long time since we had racing anime these days after the boom of Initial D is ended and I really hope this will suit to my expectations.

Happened to notice AKIRA on tv over the weekend, not watched that since the early 90s!!!!

Rekindled my interest in Anime/Manga, anyone know a good place to watch these films online please? preferable free

Chrunchyroll is the only one I can really say that's legal.

Just chillin out...

Yeah things are straight up crazy right now. Can't wait for episode 7. This should be lit.

I think it kinda went without saying that any gamble involving Midari will involve high stakes. However it should also be noted that we actually have not seen anyone be shot from any opportunities she had to put the gun into play. We may have people getting killed off really quick; heck, if the pacing dictates that someone will suffer life-threatening injuries next episode, Midari can most likely be killed off quick (not literally though- because that would be too damn obvious and not fun).

Shacho over here however caught me by surprise trying to recruit Mary. I would imagine for the sake of story telling Mary would ultimately refuse, but what does shacho have in mind in having her be part of the council? What does she gain in doing so, and should Mary take up the offer, what becomes of her role in the plot?

Also: omg Sawashiro Miyuki voices the shacho. <3 <3 <3

I guess Midari won't killed off easily since we know Jabami didn't want to hurt people either, just a crazy woman addicted to gambling and good observer. Also, Mary would likely refuse the offer, but Idk if the Student Council President have another tricks on her sleeve. The only reason could explain why she try to recruit Mary is probably because to attract Jabami attention imo. (So far what I see she's only had her focus to Jabami though, make her in trouble might be her intentions) Or maybe she forced Mary to tell all the secrets of Jabami had. That is my thought anyway. There might be some unexpected twist in the next episode...

Btw what other shows did you watch this season? I guess so far I quite enjoyed Princess Principal and Made In Abyss. Other show I watch were just going series from last season such as My Hero Academia and Re:Creators.

I guess you can tell by my avatar (and if you know the old anime), I've recently watched the entire Zoids Chaotic Century after a brief watch a few months back.

Despite being like Pokemon and Yugioh where it was mostly about fighting each other with the product you're trying to sell, Chaotic Century has serious war message undertones, the meaning of conflict and who is your enemy in the brink of war. I like how it does the Star Wars approach and has the main protagonist Van explore the outside world for the first time. I really like the protagonists, as they all have their own goals and desires and both sides of the war have their fair share of heroes as the main villain (Proson) is more of an idea of a dictator looking to conquer the world through war.

However the villains are really dull, like I said Proson was more of an idea than a character, which can be cool but he lasted way too long in the plot when the idea starts to run out of steam. If you thought Vegeta and Shadow the Hedgehog were convoluted, have a look at Raven, sadly his conflict with Van doesn't even resolve since they just shoved a bigger conflict to end it (which is really bad storytelling unless the previous conflict actually carry over but this didn't), and Hiltz is just power hungry. The only one I tolerated was Reese.

Overall, I really liked it but really needed interesting or just downright better villains. Would I watch it again? Maybe.

Anyway, I've been looking into Assassination Classroom, is it worth the watch or should I pass on it?

While I've been keeping the new Touhou vibes going by writing about the series' music (but, regrettably, not the new game itself), I need to briefly return to idolising masters.

You see, it turns out that the '5th Live' series of shows has been happening with all the popular Cinderella Girls, and there are a lot of seiyuus on hand. There's plenty of variation too, long performances and all. Sounds like a good way to get me into IdolHell a bit more.

Unfortunately, the finale of said shows was this weekend. And some of the lineup looked rather good. But I missed it.

Funny how this works out, isn't it. It was the announcement of Love Live's Final Live that led me to get into them. And when I have a chance to see a live finale of Idolmaster's I only go and bloody miss it. Of course I would.

Mind you, if it wasn't for the massive Comiket that very same weekend and all the thrills, spills and excitement coming with that (including the aforementioned Touhou game), I might have actually noticed it. They didn't think that one through, did they?

(Also I was very busy and out all day Saturday and Manchester United were playing on Sunday, and United are a million times better than Idolmaster, but we'll gloss over that)

Still, at least they're not beating around the bush. They've already announced that next year's '6th Live' is gonna all be done in one venue and one venue only, and have said that venue is 'a dome'. Which one, god only knows.

What other shows am I watching you ask. I suppose that would technically be Fate Apocrypha, Shingeki Bahamut, and Hajimete no Gal.

I still have Strike the crappy Blood II, Tales of boring Zestiria X II, Haikyu II, and Bungou Stray Dogs II to finish.
Anyway, I've been looking into Assassination Classroom, is it worth the watch or should I pass on it?

I hear that one's not a bad watch.

I just watched my first anime episode in months! *gasp*

Gonna try to make a habit of watching at least one episode of something a day, there's no reason why I shouldn't be able to manage that much at the very least.

So what was this spicy episode, you ask? Just me resuming my Major rewatch, which I abruptly stopped cold turkey halfway through the final season for no reason. :P

Hehe yeah i'm in that camp.

I just checked out Tsuki ga Kirei since i heard good reception as a romance anime. and hey, after finishing it, it was pretty good! i didn't actually expect their parents to play a pretty large role in the show, since normally parents are never involved. Or at the very least, never have a direct role. apart from that, i thought it was reasonably good romance plot, especially for middle school setting. only thing is the ending, which played out in a weird and somewhat cringey manner.

Shingeki Bahamut

Which, Virgin Soul? it's pretty good so far, but i really don't like how it's paced. it's pretty all over the place, and sometimes the sense of story just disappears, so you're just strapped in for the ride, often disbelieving the consequences of what just happened. on the other hand, i think that was point of the first season
