I was trying to find a few of the build logs from the 90's but they're all buried somewhere. Only thing that's left now (on the first few pages that is) are some stretched out, pixelated pics that no one wants to see.

As for the hypothesis, I think, after seeing what I did in ep. 16, that 01 has Shinji's mother's brain/mind (like Ritsuko's mother in Casper) encapsulated somewhere and the LCL serves as a catalyst between the contact of the two. I find it coincidental that out of everyone in Japan that Shinji is the First Child. There's more to it but I'll leave it there for now.

Even if I'm way off-base that's fine, I do this with Gundam too.

Sorry, I got your supportive point, and I also very much encourage AOS- to pursue his artistic passion, but I have some past experience with art myself and with artists in general, and this I thought was an important point to make.

No, don't let some people's criticisms discourage you, if they're not your audience, but also don't just disregard criticism if it may be valid, i.e., the people you're trying to reach, with the style you want to achieve, the subject, etc. AOS- has the skill and drive in my opinion, but that's not all there is to being a successful artist. And one of the most important parts of being successful as an artist is to find your thing, your niche, your gig. Trying to be able to do anything and everything for everyone, i.e., ignoring categories and "boxes", can be frustrating and lead to the abandonment of the artistic pursuit. [/speech]
