Well if you want less tame, try Bleach. It's the bloodiest of the big 3.Come on, it has everything. And it develops every aspect of it quite further than most anime. Battles in it really feel like they mean something, every main character is dissected to the point you can understand them to their very core. Its something that can only be achieved by having so many episodes I suppose.
Sure, I wouldn't give it a 10/10. As I said it has it's problems, but that doesn't stop it from being really good. Also I'm not very fond of how tame it is. But it is a shounen after all.
Also, it doesn't really have everything. Character development is a big thing in the show (Remember all the backstories we got during the Chunin Exam arc?), but there were many aspects that make me wonder why people think it's extremely good. (Spoilers from around the 130's to where the show is at now.)
The Sasuke thing has dragged on too long, and at this point I hardly care anymore. Naruto, he's NOT going to ever come back at this point. He's become some obsessed with revenge that he's beyond the point of no return.
At this point, I could care less what happens to Sasuke. If he ends up dying, I'll probably be like "Oh, so he's dead now? Meh.".

Anyway watched Haganai 6-9. As I said before, if FUNimation releases this (If streaming numbers are good enough.), this will probably be one of the most infamous anime releases ever, alongside the 2005 ADV Films release of Elfen Lied. Maria running out naked for no good reason was pretty hilarious.
Anyway I'm off to rewatch Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal. After that, I'll try the first two episodes of Clannad.
