By what I'm reading right now about it, I guess if I ever get to see any of Clannad, I'm gonna do this: I'll go spoil the first season in Wikipedia or something, as I know I wont stand the datig sim scenario and stupid comedy and all that trash, and simply watch after story after I know it's context, as it seems to be a much more mature show with more emotions, but not forced into you in any way like the first season seems to be.

I'm not a musician, so I wouldn't know how to properly express what I found so average about the song. But for starters, the vocals were pretty run-of-the-mill...

Like I said (but apparently you didn't read or comprehend), I'm not a musician. I can't explain why certain songs appeal to me and why some don't. I just know it when I hear it. That applies to the vocals too, hence the "run-of-the-mill" comment.

Okay, then how about you tell me the reasons you find the song beautiful?

The beginning piano bit lifts you into a dream world...
The constant kick from the drums kinda kills the mood, but it's a pop song, what do you want?
The piano is always playing and doesn't stand out and isn't given the focus of the piece as it keeps a low profile versus the other instruments during the chorus. That and the strings and other instruments play a delicate melody and set a pleasing mood.
It's the subtly and little bits each and every instrument play that I like about this; where there is no dominant role (the piano doesn't overrule the other instruments).

and Lia's a pretty good singer for someone who's involved the anime biz.

I had a look at the light novel as suggested by sly, and was a bit surprised when I found out she is quite more well behaved in the anime.
