Where are you looking? Stuff that isn't adapted from a Weekly Shonen Jump, Monthly Shonen Gangan, or Weekly Shonen Sunday manga?

I don't see protagonists like that all that much in Shonen series, and I've seen a lot of Shonen.

Shinji is definitely not the worst it gets, especially Rebuild Shinji. And Shinji arguably has some pretty damn good reasons for being the way he is.

If Guilty Crown had a protagonist like Lelouch (One of the greatest protagonists I've ever seen in anime.), the show would be so much better.

Genearlly, but most don't have access to robots/guns/ninjatraining/supermindpowers/godtierreflexes/etc

Like Shu goes around slicing up robots and dodging rockets, while holding a girl. Only to run off like he is a girl anyone asks him to do anything.

Well, you make a decent point. I haven't been watching Guilty Crown so I don't know exactly what badass abilities/equipment Shu has.

But in the case of Shinji... I don't think you can fault him for being whiny, despite being lucky enough to be an Eva pilot.

Steins;Gate's first two episodes were awful though (So boring.), so you have to get past that, then after episode 12 is where finally things start picking up more.

I give them credit for being original.

And text messages are exciting, I think.

Guess I have an F- for having Haruhi still on-hold after like 2 episodes.Going to get back to it in the next few months as I finally figured out what order I'll watch the episodes in (And then deal with season 2.).

Don't know how long it'll take me to watch NGE when I hopefully get it. BTW, what should I watch first, the dub or the sub? Which one will give me the better NGE experience.
