In reference to the Jeep Nukizer 715.It's pretty sweet, however I don't think we will ever see it for public production. It could possibly go into production for the military.

I'll take the Ford, simply because I can't stand massive humps right in front of me. You know, where the honda has the digital.... speedo I guess, right in the middle of where I'd like nothing to be. Besides glass and my view of the road that is. :scared:
Other than that the Honda's interior looks fantastic - to bad it's a fatal flaw.

If you can't see over that massive hump then you better start jacking that seat up. I'll have to pay attention to it tomorrow, but it seems like the top of that hump meets right with the bottom of the glass from my line of sight.

The Ram and Jeep are awesome. :indiff: < ---- Awesome face.

Well, they need to get some cars out on the streets. I'm still occasionally seeing dealer advertisements with 2009 model cars on sale. Yeesh.

It's not massive at all, esp. when you find that the Civic has a larger-than-average windshield.

Chrysler culls total of 7 models from UK lineup; rest spared out of pity

THANK THE LORD.

Caliber, Sebring, Sebring Cabrio, Commander, Compass, Nitro, PT Cruiser, Avenger.

All gone. Not sure when each went, but it can't have been that long ago.

This leaves Jeep with a perfectly acceptable 4 car lineup, Chrysler with 2, and Dodge with just the Journey. *Scoff*

Seems a little sudden, but mosey on up the page...

...and suddenly it all makes sense. I don't doubt that Chrysler makes a loss on every Avenger and Sebring they sell. That's when they actually sell an Avenger or Sebring, of course.

So they're silently pulling out of the UK? Really other than Jeep they don't really have a lineup.

I'm really disappointed with this whole FIAT/Chrysler deal just because it hasn't amounted to a whole lot. I haven't seen anything on what FIAT is bringing here lately and Chrysler hasn't brought anything to the table since the Avenger(I think that's the last new car they made) and that's not exactly the greatest car ever(In fact it seems to be quite the opposite).

There are all sorts of Fiat 500's running around here along with a ton of Alfa's so I'm guessing they are going to bring something state side.

Huh. The only Alfa I've seen recently is a Milano Sedan from the late '80s/Early '90s. Didnt' even have one up in Chicago.

I know that, what I mean is that there hasn't been much news as to what models will be coming here and when exactly.

I live five miles from the Chrysler world headquarters complex.

As far as the UK is concerned, they never really did before... The only Chrysler models we ever really subscribed to were the PT Crusier (because it was trendy once upon a time), the Grand Voyager (because a few families were big enough to warrant it) and to a certain extent the 300C (because some insurance salesmen like to pretend they're Tony Soprano from time to time). Everything else was largely ignored. If you quizzed the British public I'd bet 90% of them had no idea a thing called a Sebring had even been on sale here for the last 3 years.

To be honest I think FIAT are doing the best thing possible by simply eradicating anything that doesn't sell. Apart from the Journey they've basically trimmed away all the fat that we never wanted anyway.

Chrysler finally released today official pics and announcement regarding the Jeep Grand Cherokee! 👍

It has a beautiful physic i must say! wow

If Chrysler can continue working on more products this good, they might be able to help themselves out of their current misery...

I say Keep it up Chrysler, for their own sakes!

Apart form the tacky looking half-wood steering wheel it looks quite good IMO.:)

And the exterior looks good too, understated but well-executed and at least the best looking Jeep IMO for...well...ever perhaps.:)

*Jeep exterior

The interior does look fairly good.

The exterior does look better from that angle, but still looks a little bland.

Now do the same in the US. Except the Caliber and Sebring need to be replaced instead of just axed.

I thought they were already working on a Caliber replacement?

I think it looks rather boring and generic, I'm going to guess the interior does as well.

I can see what you mean, but i think this jeep has the generic look in the good kinda way. It's might look bland, but not boring at all...

"Understated" as you put so well "analog", and that's how i like my cars...
It doesn't need to be "in-your-face" or "bling-bling" factors.

This Jeep has a similar exterior as the x5 (especially the original x5, which i dont have a picture here)

to be looking like a bmw, isn't such a bad thing ;)

I'd assume a Caliber replacement would be Fiat-borne, hence why they would axe it in Europe - With several brands there being sold on Fiat platforms, they wouldn't need too much rebadge confusion.

Well as far as I'm aware the Dodges only disappeared within the last week or so - as they suddenly vanished off the UK website. They stopped selling the Avenger a fair while back in the UK though.

I've not seen a brand new PT for ages though, so either people stopped buying one or they culled that one long ago too. In fact, I'm fairly sure they culled it a few years back, and it's only in the States they got a facelifted one on sale again recently.

Around here all the 300Cs are diesels, and they're all taxis.

I dunno. I'm in two minds. I know I have pretty odd taste in cars but I quite like Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge products. They're by no means the best things out there but we take what we can get in the UK and I prefer Dodge and Chrysler's lineup a significant amount more than Chevrolet's. With Chevy, apart from the Cruze I think pretty much the whole lineup is bloody awful Korean-based crud. At least the Chrysler products had a bit of character.

The Avenger is a nice looking car, like a mini-Charger. Not a very good one, true, but pleasant in an inoffensive way. Same goes for the Caliber, which I reckon will eventually be one of those bargains that people who shop around for dirt cheap cars will buy. Nobody else wants them, so the second-hand buyer benefits.

The Nitro was pretty woeful but it looks like a toy car and if you don't expect it to be sporty in any way (and I don't see why you would) then I'm sure it's passable.

The Voyager and Sebring are pretty awful. The Voyager in particular has consistantly been outclassed in virtually every department by virtually every European competitor ever since they started selling the damn thing in the UK. The Sebring is the answer to a question nobody asked.

The PT I still have a soft spot for, because it was the car I drove for a few thousand miles of the best holiday I've ever had. But it was getting pretty long in the tooth, so it's best that it died.

The 300C I genuinely like. It's distinctive, handsome, and although it's a bit chintzy it seems like a good, honest bruiser of a saloon, which I like. It's probably the best thing Chrysler has made in years.

So yeah, the disappearance of all those cars is probably a good thing, but I'll be sad to see some of them go. I just wish that they'd actually been good, because then people might have actually bought them.

I'm glad the whole bling-fad ( and the whole retro-fad by large ) seems to have passed to make way for a more adult approach.
The in-your-face bling-ness of the last decade will probably be regarded to be even more irrelevant as those fifties wings ( albeit with less nostalgia I guess ).
I don't think it is looking a lot like a BMW X5, I think it looks very American in a new subtle and perhaps humbler ( but not apologetic ) way and I like it.
It appears grown up, fresh but confident and I'm glad the interior looks almost European ( this could be the hand of Fiat ) in both style as the use of materials ( judging from these photo's at least ).
The only recent Chryslers I liked were the 300C and perhaps the Crossfire from some angles, the thing I liked about the 300C was the fact it appeared to be retro at first ( looking almost like a well-executed caricature of an American Sedan ) but when you actually did some research which old cars it resembled you couldn't find any, proving that it was an original design, very cleverly done IMO.:)

So, basically they cut all the models that need to be cut globally and kept all the models that are actually halfway not bad excuses for cars. Well done, Chrysler. Now do the same in the US. Except the Caliber and Sebring need to be replaced instead of just axed.

Confusingly it's not even the whole of Europe - just the UK. Germany and France still have most of their ranges intact (and both have got rid of the Sebring sedan and kept the convertible for reasons no human could possibly understand).

Weird.

That's what I imagined. I just spotted the thing on Autoblog, took a look around and realised everything had vanished since I last checked. Might as well chalk them all up in one go, I suppose.

The one car of this bunch I'd consider missing is the PT Crusier, but this hasn't so much got prematurely culled as given a well earned retirement. (Though from what I can gather from Autotrader that seems to have happened back in 2008).

As I say though, each one seems to still be on sale somewhere in Western Europe. Funny how France ends up having a larger range of American cars on sale than Britain...

Three words: Left-hand drive.

Pretty much the first place I ever saw American cars (Jeeps aside) was in France. They don't buy loads of them but they do import them occasionally, because having the steering wheel on the correct side for them makes it easier than it does for us. Makes it easier for the manufacturers, too.

I know that, what I mean is that there hasn't been much news as to what models will be coming here and when exactly.

I believe all of that will be covered here:

Basically, after the Fiat 500 rolls out things get cooking. There will be a lot of cross-development between the two, but it seems fairly likely that eventually almost all of the Chrysler portfolio will consist of Fiat products. Well, aside from the 300C/Charger and the Grand Cherokee/Magnum.

What excites me most is the possibility of a Panda-based Jeep and the eventual roll out of Alfa Romeo. I need a MiTo.

What excites me is that the partnership is due to spawn rear-drive Alfa Romeos for the first time in twenty-odd years (8C excepted). That, and the FIAT group are determined to bring down the weight of their cars, Alfa want the 159 replacement to be a good 200kg less as far as I can remember.
