i feel lucky s ofar after reading your guys's problems. I just had my gears mapped to the right stick with throttle and brake still on R2 & L2. sometimes while braking it would shift all the way down to 1st on it's own regardless of what speed I was going and it caused a lot of mechanical failures. I just changed it back.
 
Has anyone noticed the UI has some very odd behaviours in regard to the race-menus? For example, when you finish a race, it will automatically hover over either: Exit or restart, regardless of your finish position. I came first and it encouraged me to exit the session completely for some reason. You can also see this when choosing a driver's time to look at on the times list. On completion of a session, it wont reset what time is highlighted, it'll just keep your last position chosen to look at highlighted. This is most hilariously shown when at a race-end the 'Top 10' list of drivers can actually be glitched to show everyone who finished below 10th. I am pretty sure this isn't intentionally done and may actually be the result of SMS not resetting UI pointers until a race session is quit. Its not anything major but it's just a weird thing for the game to do. Wouldn't be surprised if this is also related to car settings not saving properly.

Why would the format for lap times be in hours though? No lap takes more than 59 minutes.

There's no reason why, it's probably a mistake. But split seconds are indicated with a point ".", not with a colon ":", so it's more likely that they simply left out the decimals by mistake rather than accidentally converting minutes to seconds and seconds to split seconds AND screwing up the formatting so that split seconds are indicated with a colon.

Career mode, American Endurance Championship at Road America - Free Practice 2 on PS4

Whenever I change the time speed in the pit box, the simulation stops, and I hear a unceasing engine sound. I cannot drive or change settings I can only quit and if I do so the game freezes but not the console. I had the bug twice after rebooting the game.
 
Lapped cars at the end of the race being classified as 2nd, 3rd places etc! Kinda messed up the championship standings!!
 
A random one this, but racing online at Hockenheim (PS4) - three of my four tires were red as I'd been spun off, I was then crashed into on the start/finish straight and smashed into a wall. From then on my tires were freezing cold and did not at any stage heat up again.

Don't know if it's a thing with the Audi GT3 car, but both times this has happened I've been driving it.
 
The majority of cars randombly crashing into eachother at the starting grid before the race even started, cars flying through the air all over the place.
For the rest of the race there were about 10 wrecks standing around in the middle of the start/finish straight.
When I tried to go past them, I crashed into an invisible object... even though the closest car was at least 5 meters away.
As if that weren't enough, the race ended with lapped drivers ranking as if they'd never been lapped...

Do I have to mention that the game crashed two times during practice and qualifying?


That was just one single race though, not even talking about all the other issues...
 
just had 5 quick races in a row (4 at Donington Nat, 1 at Dubai GP) where my T300 has spun to the wrong angle after the grid loads up. unplugged power, back in and it worked again. major glitch today :boggled:
 
Breaks the engine, but luckily manages to roll into the pits. 30 seconds later the car drives back on track as if nothing ever happened...
 
Any of you are getting downshift to 1st gear out of the blue?

Like, somestimes i'm on 5th gear and want to downshift to 3rd, and when i push the button once it goes straight to 1st gear and the car locks the rear wheels (if you're in the middle of a turn, byebye).

Is this a bug? Because i know i'm doing nothing wrong with my downshifting.

I've been getting this a lot in pretty much all of the formula cars. Cost me several career wins :banghead:
 
The game is unusable for me atm. All cars keep stalling. The L2 button on my T300 doesn't work in game so I can't recalibrate my pedals. I took a whole day of off work today to play, guess I'll have to find something else to do. Here's a video of what happens at the end of the video I'm pressing L2 a bunch of times, with no result. If I exit the game and press L2 the menus options pop up in the XMB just fine:

Initially, when I first played the wheel calibrated just fine. I think one of the updates caused the issue? *shrug*

EDIT: I found the problem, my PS4 isn't supplying enough power to my CPX adapter. I have to plug it into a laptop nearby for correct power. now the L2 button works and the pedals work great again, whew!

Just got the craziest bug I've seen yet. I'm just uploading a video of it.

Started the second race of round 4 in the Clio Cup series. For some reason (not known at the time) my Clio has damage to the front and rear of the car. As I didn't know I started the race and got into first after the second corner.

Coming out of Stirlings and heading towards Clearways the hand of God reaches down and swipes at me like a dung fly. This scared the hell out of me, especially because I had my headphones on and I was in the zone.

This glitch totally destroys the car and bounces me off the armco and across the track to the other side hitting a few AI for good measure. :)

This is on PS4 version.

Wow I would have probably crapped my pants if that happened. So unexpected and would be even more crazy in surround sound!! Especially since I drive using the cockpit view in every racing game. :scared::scared:

Also had this issue last night with my T300 on PS4 as well.

Tell me about it. I was in the zone after doing refresher laps for 30 minutes before the race I was totally focused.

This nearly gave me heart failure.

Completed three Historic Goals and became a racing legend!

I have 3 historic goals highlighted in white on my career overview but the trophy is still locked.
 
Got a drive through for a jump start online, took it and got this after :/

I got something similar in another race, but it was "only" 1min...

If two people finish close enough (a few tenths of a second or so...), it's likely for the players to end up in reversed positions... this can make you lose a race...

I had a major problem with first gear when driving the BMW 320 Gr 5 on Catalunya National. It took 13 seconds to get out of the gear and because of that, I struggled to keep up with the pack.
Another issue is when cars come out the pits, you can actually drive through them and vice versa. I ended up losing a spot because the car behind me did it while entering the pits.

Has the second issue happen today online as well.
GT3 car, Laguna Seca, Lap 3/3... invisible road block. Car came to a dead stop from 130mph.
It also killed the FFB (felt unplugged) in my T300 for the remainder of the lap/race. Back to normal once race was over.
