Got lapped by the front few cars, finished 20th. Game said I finished 14th and gave me 7 points. YEY! :)

does this mean the patch will be pushed for PS4 and PC (Sony, Steam?) respectively as well? Can we expect the patch maybe next week on the mentioned platforms?

This was mostly Xbox specific issues, as controls are broken compared to PC and ps4. PC did get a patch yesterday though. PS4, they may wait to fix some issues, I dunno, no feedback on that one.
 
qualifying for rd. 4 Clio Cup: do a couple of laps, tune my car, save, do a couple more laps and when I get back to the pits to retune, the sliders revert to the setup I was using before the latest tune like it didn't save. this has happened 3 or 4 times.

got the pole though by changing tyre pressures to eliminate the car's oversteer, so I'm still happy.

Were you able to check which compound you ended up with because that could easily happen with rain tires on a hot, dry track? Has it happened more than once?

Ok as I said I did the 6h race at Road America and I'm having the same overheating problem right now, there's less than an hour remaining and even if once again it's dark because of the night I'm 99% my tyres are slicks and not wets or inters. So this is clearly a bug when you pit too often or something.
I'm driving the RWD P30 LMP1 this time, so probably ain't related to a particular car.

So I recommend not to attempt races longer than 2h (at least on PS4) for now because this bug is really annoying and pretty much ruins the whole race.
I had no issues in 2h events though, using only 2 different sets of tyres.
 
I am not able to save a paint/race number/suspension setup for any of the cars, it seems like I just pick a car and edit every time, whether it be career, online or solo. How do I save setups?

Also, none of my photos are being saved into the profile area like the women commentator says, but I am finding them back in the ProjectCARS down menu in the PS Home.
 
Had just started my first career in Touring - first practice session in the Clio - went into the corner and the car literally took off like a rocket and the speedo said 315MPH as if flew endlessly into the sky. - Strait out "I don't want to live on this planet anymore!" said the Clio.

Just had an great race with Clios on Doninton Park (80%, I was going to win but went off track at one of last corners). When I was overtaking one guy, he drove to the pit through me like a ghost. It saved my life, I think it was done like that on purpose so maybe not really a glitch.

Wow, 20 pages :S

This has probably been mentioned already then, but certain online performance stats dont seem to be registering. I got DQ'd at cadwell park at that god awful hairpin for "hitting another player" whilst recovering from the service road.

But on my profile it says no DQs; and also i've rage quit from destruction derbies more than once but i still have 100% start/finish stats.

I had a extremely mini version of this at the penultimate corner at Snetterton. It was as though there was an invisible sausage kerb in the middle of the road that pitched me up onto the front-left tyre and almost flipped me.
 
I was playing an non carrer race and I have skipped to the end of sesion (I have Polish ver so don't know how it's really called)... I was first with time 7:xx and second driver was 7 minutes behind. Weird. Then I was over revving engine because I was bit bored and when It broke... the over revving sound was still going on. Only in cocpit view, other cams it was totally quiet, strange.

EDIT:Just tried over revving thing with different car and it still happenned, try it for yourself, just drive car on first gear. I'm on PS4.

This may be common knowledge for some, but hopefully it will help someone.

Earlier I complained that the game was suddenly crashing on PC whenever I was exiting a session and going back to the menus. Turns out it was AMD's Raptr client running in the background that was screwing it up. When I quit out of that the crashes stopped immediately. 👍
 
These two trophies are broke on PS4:

I have 106 wins at Brands Hatch which is listed as my favourite location but no trophy

Entered and completed more than 25 Online races

I have entered and completed 28 online races according to the Driver Network Profile but again the trophy has not unlocked.

Stats are broken for sure.

Quote myself from different thread regarding stats including restarts....
Restarts counting is a pain - I guess it's there to make you think twice about restarting (you can't do that in real life), and I don't restart for that reason. However last night on race 2 of shifter karts at Glencairn I was starting in 11th place, when my kart was under AI control before the green on the rolling start it keep crashing me into the barrier and getting stuck so I restarted (and restarted 10 more times) until it finally bounced off instead of getting stuck. :grumpy:
End result - my stats show 13 races for karts in addition to that it seems to have added the full race distance to the track stats for each restart instead of the 10 meters or so I actually travelled each time - so now the track is showing as the track I've run the most miles on!

That is normal. When using the cockpit view, the head is removed so it doesn't interact with the camera.

That is an old bug that was suppose to be fixed, but it looks like it came back.
 
In my experience with pCARS so far (on PS4):

- My Thrustmaster T500RS goes crazy for no apparent reason on menu screens. In order to play the game, I have too reboot it and recalibrate the thing only to see the same 🤬 happening again after some loading screen. It's borderline ridiculous.

- Sometimes, the game saves the setup that you made for the car. Sometimes, it doesn't.

- I've got three black screens after loading screens. Had to quit the game.

- Lost audio output as well. In some races, my car just went dead silent. Menu toggle effects and things like that worked.

- Not a bug exactly, but a shocking obtuse omission: physics take into account weather, wind and whatnot. On consoles, that information, which is crucial to setup a car, is unavaiable to the player. So, what is the freaking point?

- The UI needs a LOT of refinment.

May i suggest you post them also over at forum.projectcarsgame.com? It will be seen directly by SMS there and the Moderators keep a list of known bugs and issues with their current status together with some workarounds.

The other stuff is very random.

Looking foward to discover some more bugs! (just kidding).
 
Just got the craziest bug I've seen yet. I'm just uploading a video of it.

Started the second race of round 4 in the Clio Cup series. For some reason (not known at the time) my Clio has damage to the front and rear of the car. As I didn't know I started the race and got into first after the second corner.

Coming out of Stirlings and heading towards Clearways the hand of God reaches down and swipes at me like a dung fly. This scared the hell out of me, especially because I had my headphones on and I was in the zone.

This glitch totally destroys the car and bounces me off the armco and across the track to the other side hitting a few AI for good measure. :)

This is on PS4 version.

Career mode, Superkarts at Donnington, Race 2.

Consistently freezing & crashing my PS4 over 15 lap race. Have had to drop the session length just to get past it. Lame.

T300 loses the plot and starts spinning wildly. No idea how this got through QA.

My T500 spins madly, or ends up in some unusual positions, like stuck upside down, on menus. Pretty annoying.
