Some of these posts arnt even worth spending time on...id rather they sort out the major bugs like the AI performance in the wet than if a drivers helmet is slightly appearing out of the roof!

Indeed. It kind of renders the ability to set varying weather useless doesn't it?
Thread title isn't "Important Glitches, Bugs and Errors"
A driver's head poking out is still a glitch, bug or error.
Yeah but one you can live with unless you like to go over replays in close up minute detail.
It's not just in close-up during replays. The driver's head pops in and out of the roof while driving in chase view. Minor compared to the rest of the thread, but still something more likely to be found in a PS2 game than current-gen.

I do not know if this is an issue for everyone, but lately I've had an issue where the Saved Car Setup overrides any tuning changes I make.
1. have saved setup for a car.
2. go to track, test car.
3. adjust setup, click SAVE.
4. go to track, test car.
5. go back to adjust the setup for the car and it has reverted back to the original saved setup. So I have no idea if the changes I've made are actually being tested.
I'd really just like to Delete the saved Master Setup. But where is it stored in the game files?yes I have encountered this many times. It seems to only save to disk when you edit set-ups from your garage. In a race event it only seems to "save" it to memory as the current set-up.

Well, that's just it. The "master setup" it keeps reverting to is the default because, in order to fix the issue, I clicked Reset then Save to all.I don't know have you tried going to your garage. clicking reset for the set-up and then saving to all?

I didn't have this issue until last night when doing testing for the Final Round of the Clio Cup at Brands Hatch. It made it through all the other Rounds just fine. But now tuning for the Clio seems to be completely bunked.
On ps4 on the historical invitational I had the exact same problem. Very frustrating because when it would revert back, I had no third gear. It just blended with 2 and 4 became 3. Differential also set up weird. (Escort round 2 of invitational:brand hatch)PC Version.

It's really not a glitch but why do they ask for a driver number when it's not even used?
I had a fun one. The name of my pit stop strategies always rename themselves randomly, but this time it was a tweet you typically have on the career dashboard. Like "Quali didn't go well for John Doe today #TeamJohnDoe"
Still trying to get to the bottom of an issue my brother is having on his PC version. He is getting instances where his car will slow down a little and then rocket forward a bit.
Still trying to get to the bottom of an issue my brother is having on his PC version. He is getting instances where his car will slow down a little and then rocket forward a bit. Seems to be worse when there are more cars on track and he has been playing a while. I see over on the official forums some other people are having the same issue but no one has managed to get it resolved as of yet.
We have tried several different things between us to try to determine what the cause is. We have tried using my settings on his system, his settings on mine, different drivers and various other things but still seeing the issue on his system and not on mine.
It is odd as his system is a bit higher end than mine with a faster CPU and a step up on the GPU yet there is the issue. At this point we are thinking it might be heat related as his GPU is getting a bit hotter than mine and the problem seems to get worse as the race goes on so maybe the GPU is getting hot enough that it is having an issue.
Another thing we noticed in testing is that for some reason when using performance test his CPU Physics test is testing lower than mine by about 15% or so which is odd seeing that he has the faster processor [both are AMD and both use the same MB] he also uses a watercooler for his CPU where I use an air cooler so his CPU runs cooler under load than mine does.
If you want to know what it is. It is the tickrate of the game that goes down when you're braking (or going off-road) and that goes back up when you stop braking. It seems like it is directly related to the vibration of the controller. Put the FFB at 0, it should fix your issue.
My PS4 has crashed like 5 times during races, I'm worried that it wont turn on again after another crash.
We're not sure what is causing it, the devs didn't managed to reproduce the issue yet. It seems to be related to the CPU, though. Strange.

Setting FFB to 0 is not an option, Would ruin the game to do that. Note he is using a Fanatec GT2 wheel not a controller.
It also does not just happen when braking it has happened on straights while accelerating and according to what he has been saying it gets worse as the race progresses. It has also become familiar enough to him that he is often able to tell when it is about to lurch forward.
We were racing in an online race the other night with 25 AI cars on track and he was complaining that it was happening a lot. On the second race I came up behind him on a lap and I was able to see his car suddenly rocket forward and off track much as you might see a car jump position due to an online lag but what I saw was actually what happened to him.
We have managed to make it somewhat better by tweaking different things but no matter what we have tried we are unable to stop it from happening to him and unable to reproduce it for me. I also use a Fanatec wheel and have similar FFB settings.
Related to which CPU?
I saw on the main forum someone said it appeared to be related to the FX8350 but that is the CPU I am running and have no issues at all. He is running the FX9590
The problem is that I am not sure he could stand to drive it long enough to reproduce the issue without any FFB. I'll ask an see. Also not sure if he can do a video but again will ask and see. We live about 500 miles apart so not much I can do there and can't reproduce it here.If you could make a video of it, it would be great. I know FFB to 0 is not really an option, but could he try it, just to see if it fix the issue?
It isn't known if it is related to any CPU in particular, but since it is related to the tickrate, I guess it is somewhat related to the CPU. Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming the CPU. My guess is that for some reasons the FFB is really CPU heavy for a minority of people, but I have no clue why.
I doubt that would be the case here I am using a FX8350 and a GTX750 TI He is using a FX9590 and a GTX760 so the difference in CPU speed is probably greater than the difference in GPU speed. Some of the others who have reported it are also using FX8350 CPUs with lesser video cards than the one I am using so one would think I would be seeing the issue if that were the case.I've heard that if your GPU is sending information to the CPU faster than what it can process, then the slow down/speed up thing happens. A possible fix, if it is this, is to try reduce your FPS, so that the CPU can cope.
