After a windows and Steam update. All my career progress is lost 10 seasons gone.
Also my whole profile and all the replays. Leaderboard entrys are still there.

Update was to Win 10. But framerate is a lot beter

Off course it's gone, save are usually place into my documents folder somewhere, so if you install a new system, it will get deleted. For next time, remember to save your my documents folders or at least the folder in there where there's your game saves. Or get a cloud and make an automatic backup of my documents in there.

Generaly it's a good idea to backup some stuff when you install a new system.

I was losing during UK Road Cup so I decided to leave the game, however after exiting final leaderboard popped-up saying that I won the race even though I ended up last. After this, I won whole invitational event.

Thanks, kid! Reported at WMD.

Did you guys hit any other car or track objects when the engine blew up? In some cars the radiator gets damaged too easy when the front takes a hit, the Huayra might be one of them.
I'll test this out later and get some answers for you. 👍

I was in a practice at Brands Hatch in the Clio Cup career race. I put in a seamless lap to finish 2nd fasted only to find the AI suddenly put in a lap 41 seconds faster than the rest of the pack to take 1st. I mean, seriously?

Let's see what happens in qualifying!

I created an image of some captured data collected during the strange slow down -> speed up issue that my brother and several others are experiencing. The data shown in the image was collected near the end of the 1st lap on Lemans in solo mode with 56 cars on track. It took a while before the glitch first happened but then it happened 5 times in a short period then he exited the race. See image below.

Notice how the GPU Usage, FB Usage and FPS all drop in the same spots as the glitch and the usage on CPU 8 spikes at the same times as well as some peaked activity on CPU 6.

After doing a lot of tweaking and also throttling back the GPU on his system we do have it working better and I think he can now run the career races which have fewer cars in them without issue. Haven't tested in heavy weather yet.

One other thing we noticed was when running performance test of our PCs his is giving a lower performance on CPU Physics than mine something like 522 compared to 597 which is odd seeing as his CPU is a bit stronger being a 9590 compared to my 8350.

Does this info spark any ideas?

Has anyone hear any audio problems? When I brake I can hear this metal grinding noise, originally I thought maybe it was the particular car I was driving but it happens all the time. I'm running on PS4.

I think that is normal, running PC version here and have noticed it on multiple cars. Sounds like they need a brake job ;)

Did you hear the original Seat Leon mod for AC? Talk about brake noise..:ouch: Real car is horrible too:yuck:

Nobody had these weird downshifts?

The game is unplayable for me. At every couple of laps, the gearbox goes to 1st and i spun.

I'm not abusing the gearbox, always upshifting early and downshifting late. I don't believe it's a DS4 problem, even if the downshift button was malfunctioning, it wouldn't go STRAIGHT to 1st gear being on 3rd or 4th when upshifting.

Someone help. I waited so much for this game and now i can't enjoy it :(
I have had the same problem using a T500 wheel so its not just a gamepad issue. Happened to me at the same point , just upshifted to 4th. It's not a button mapping issue !

Has anyone noticed that if you skip qualifying in a career session, at the end of race results under 'fastest times' the Qualifying time always says your drivers' name but no time underneath?

I'll take a screenshot later but I am 100% certain this is a recurring bug.

(Your name appears as the fastest supposed time but you do still start last on the grid)

Maybe he got lost and ended up on the Indy circuit?

had the classic T300 random clipping issue this afternoon a few times. just never know when it's going to happen. can happily race the same race several times back to back and 90% of the time the FFB is as normal but every now and then the dreaded white line of woe appears in the telemetry and the clipping begins. restarts get rid of it. occurred at least 3 times in the past hour or so.

Yep same here. Next practice/qualifying/race it will be fine again. Totally random and I just play through it now until something changes and it just goes away........... for a while ;-)

Yep I get that too ;-)

I have just had a new Bug/Glitch happen to me.

PS4 career mode TC masters at Oschersleben I selected BMW 1M production car and did practice and qualifying and I think I was 4th on the grid. I shut the game down and turned off the PS4 and had a life for several hours. I came back on and started the game and reloaded the same event straight away. The car drove really very bad, understeering and just handling very strange. I finished the event and it turns out I was in a Renault Megane and now I cant change from this car for the rest of the series.

I mean really, how did that happen?

I want to point out that I have over 50 hours on this game now and have found one very bad constatnt. The game is a random number generator and does not save settings. No matter how many times I change settings for tuning or the wheel it will revert back to some predetermined numbers that are unlike what I have set in my garage or a previous pit stop. BUT only randomly on some cars and some tracks.

This game has some very basic problem with how it handles its memory allocation and how it saves :-(

Dont remenber where, but i made a quick qualification lap and took second place and then started to rain.Stayed on the track for one more and i was slower but still second. So i push the button to end the session.
Starting grid:8th :boggled:

The AI still finishes their qualifying while you hold your time. They can improve (and do). It is not a bug but what the game does and I have seen this fairly often.

So unless your time is a couple of seconds in front and you're feeling lucky don't end the session early ;-)

i've waited enough for all of them to finish their dry lap.I was still second. So their wet lap was faster than my dry lap.

Yes, the AI is toooooo good in the rain. It still holds for what I said above though. Ending the session early still allows the AI to do their best times and places you on the grid accordingly.

i had a bad time last night with my T300. first of all the game crashed to the 'send error report' screen again (PS4) then after the reboot almost every other race start made the wheel erratically spin from side to side. restarting the race had no effect so the wheel had to be restarted. this happened many times in quick succession (had a friend over who was playing a lot of Formula C quick races at Road America where most of the problems were; not a good way to show him the game as it kept having bugs).

that was accompanied by the grid glitch where the camera spawns in the wrong place so i can see the underside of grandstands, trees and other objects, and also sometimes the grid lights didn't come on so the race had to be restarted again. not a good night. i hope to at least see the wheel fixes come sooner rather than later as it's quite important to get everything right with the actual input devices for people.

Yep, mine usually is turned 45deg left and buzzes. Unplug your wheel (either USB or Power cable) reinitialise it and it should be fine. At least until you go to the next track where it may play up again :-(

I have also had a new one today after a crash, the throttle now is sticky and I must do the same as above :-(

I cannot wait until the first patch is released and hopefully these major bugs get fixed.

ah that's a new one, doesn't sound good. i've had all my glitches happen before but the amount of times they happened last night was amazing. perhaps my friend had the kiss of death and the game didn't want him playing it lol

All on PS4 in Career Mode.

- AI getting stuck in the pits at Bathurst
- Not getting a tyre change while Change Tyres was put to 'yes' in the Pit Strategy menu
- Tuning settings get changed by the game to something completely unusable (happened in the Historic GT5 BMW 320 at Imola. (Especially the gearbox settings were all screwed up)
- Crashed out in last place, leaving me with mechanical damage. I chose to 'skip to end of session' and got 6th place and some good points :) (Ginetta Juniors career on Brands Hatch)
- Rendering bug on several tracks where you see striped black lines somewhere in front of the car. It's most noticable on Brands Hatch. And no, it's not the windshield reflection... ;)
- Lapped AI not getting classified a lap down, and stealing the classification of cars in the lead lap. This doesn't always happen though. Most of the time you see them taking the higher positions while still in the race, but then in the end classification it's all ok again. Sometimes they keep their stolen place in the end classification though.
- Overpowered Ginetta GT4 on most tracks in the GT4 Career Mode. On most tracks they're up to 3 seconds a lap quicker than the other cars.
- Already mentioned by others I saw but o so annoying: Unrealistic practice / qualifying times set by the AI and incorrect AI behavior in the wet, on wet tyres in the dry, and on supposedly worn tyres.

i started seeing this the other day and it is particularly noticeable at Brands. pretty obvious at Laguna Seca too, it's all over the tarmac and gravel traps and the lines fade away as you approach them, happens out of side window too. they look like they're an issue with shadows as they often stem out of shadow details. it's very odd.

I'm also on PS4 and I have had all of those plus more :-(

But the tuning settings (sorry random numbers inserted by game) are giving my the dirts big time. And then to add insult to injury every time you want to tweak your settings it doesn't save what you put in but reverts to the gibberish!!! Also it does this when changing sessions too :-(

The backdrop on Azure Circuit constantly flickers and disappears like a PS1 game. It's also horrendously pixelated.

I just have the cheapest thrustmaster wheel, with no ffb. If I had one of the more pricey ffb variants, I would worry that all the strange behaviour and constant rebooting may cause damage to my expensive wheel

there is a bug where if you skip to end of session the AI will post some ridiculous qualifying times well beyond what is physically possible with the car.
