All on PS4 in Career Mode.

- AI getting stuck in the pits at Bathurst
- Not getting a tyre change while Change Tyres was put to 'yes' in the Pit Strategy menu
- Tuning settings get changed by the game to something completely unusable (happened in the Historic GT5 BMW 320 at Imola. (Especially the gearbox settings were all screwed up)
- Crashed out in last place, leaving me with mechanical damage. I chose to 'skip to end of session' and got 6th place and some good points :) (Ginetta Juniors career on Brands Hatch)
- Rendering bug on several tracks where you see striped black lines somewhere in front of the car. It's most noticable on Brands Hatch. And no, it's not the windshield reflection... ;)
- Lapped AI not getting classified a lap down, and stealing the classification of cars in the lead lap. This doesn't always happen though. Most of the time you see them taking the higher positions while still in the race, but then in the end classification it's all ok again. Sometimes they keep their stolen place in the end classification though.
- Overpowered Ginetta GT4 on most tracks in the GT4 Career Mode. On most tracks they're up to 3 seconds a lap quicker than the other cars.
- Already mentioned by others I saw but o so annoying: Unrealistic practice / qualifying times set by the AI and incorrect AI behavior in the wet, on wet tyres in the dry, and on supposedly worn tyres.

i can confirm, i have all of this bugs too plus very often: no car sound in the race forcing to restart. At the moment the game is near the unplayable.. too many game breakers. I'm playing ti cause it's good but probably i will enjoy all the career only after 1000000000 patches

This happened last night, must have been some pot hole! Every time I restarted the session the same thing happened, just had to do a lap and then pit!

Has anyone experience the glitch where the game doesn't exit the track at the end of race session when you sim the remainder of the race?

All cars are in the pit-area but I'm stuck in the race session and can't leave.

This has happened multiple times now!

Sigh.

Everyone is in garage but the game doesn't seem to think so:

Also, here's a screenshot of the issue when you skip qualifying:

Player's name shows with invisible time as the top time even though you start race (rightfully) from back of race. Except in Race 2 where you start 4th for some reason.

Its really anoying that everytime you have shared memory on for your Phone apps and you wanna watch a replay.
The game crashes and all your progress is lost. It was mentioned earlier but sometimes you just forget it and everything is gone 👎👎👎👎👎

One driver rolled over and his car was giving weird shadow which was making hood of my car matte black. Also, often at the beginning of pre race practice or qualifications there is no car for a second, just a shadow. Those are little glitches though.

Hmm.. does that mean if I turn off shared memory I can actually watch a replay? I've only tried a couple of times but I did have shared memory on for my telemetry app and it crashed the game. I did not loose my progress though.

I have shared memory on for the PCars Profiler, and the game crashed when I watched a replay last night but I did not lose my progress either. I turned off the shared memory and could watch replays fine.

Weird. I have shared memory on and have had it on from the beginning and never had a problem watching replays.

just had a crash into a wall at Bathurst and when I chose to restart I was still parked in the same place on the grass and behind me on that particular section of track were all the AI cars, in formation and queued up and waiting for the lights (which never appeared). restarted again and we were back in the right place. dumb but amusing.

It is only a problem when you try to watch a saved replay. I can watch the replay at the end of the race no problem as well but when I tried to watch a saved replay crash city

HELP! I did a rough search on this thread but seems no one has mentioned it before so I'm not sure if this is glitch or bug or something else and is hoping someone can share their experience to me.....

Here is the problem....I'm on PS4, using T300 GTE, T3PA-Pro, TH8A, and I'm so used to turning off the auto-clutch in the game and so obsessed with the heel-toe fun when driving.....

I have really really great fun on driving the Group4 BMW M1 Procar and Group5 (1 BMW & 1 Ford), but here comes the problem, whenever I use the clutch to shift 3th gear to 4th gear, it has about 50% chance (especially when u are pushing these 3 cars to limit at corners or up hills, it could fail to shift up and just left in N-gear, and has no problem whatsoever on 1,2,3,5 gears........Up to now, I only discover these 3 cars have such shifting problem.

My question is...is it ONLY me or what? Have this been discussed before? And if yes, what problem is that? Is that again in the real world these cars are harder to shift from 3th to 4th gear???

Haven't saw it mentioned anywhere as of yet.
As for real world issues I can't say about those nor if it may have been modeled into the game.
I do know the old Mercury I used to race had some issues from 2nd to 3rd. Never a problem from 1st to 2nd or 3rd to 4th but 2nd to 3rd could be a problem in it. I've blown that shift many times and ended up in neutral. Of course in that case it was the shift where you had to cross over on the H pattern to get from 2nd to 3rd and if you didn't do it just right then ...

If that kind of thing were actually modeled into the game it would be really cool.

That's why I'm confusing now...these 3 cars just have load of fun when using clutch.....if they act the same way in real world, I would live with it (a deeper and longer clutch is required to successfully shift 3rd to 4th), but if it is a bug or glitches...then SMS...it is not acceptable and we should not tolerate such a wrong modeling!

And actually I heard someone is encountering the same problem as me when I posted the same question to the "Physics" thread....just like I've said, I just don't know where to put this issue in the appropriate thread of this forum....Bug? Physics?

I hope they fix the ridiculously fast AI in rain conditions. Seems like they're not even affected by it. That's my main complaint on top of everything else people have been experiencing. I've had a slew of problems and plenty times where my game closed due to CE-xxx error. I mean I love the game, but it can be annoying and frustrating at times. One other thing I experienced was the gearing for the stock car special race. In qualifying my gears were too short and reached top gear at 120mph max. During the race the gears were back to normal. I wanted to change the ratios, but the settings were not available for some reason. I play on ace which is 80% AI strength.

Exact same thing happened to me, probably a common glitch then that will be sorted in the 1st patch.

I get that nonsense constantly.

Gah.. I am sure this has been mentioned - Im doing the invitation races that came after I finished my Ginetta G40 season. While doing the Historic UK in the Ford Escort 1600 my settings keep getting whacked. I will start a race weekend and my gearing is all messed up - I will go back to my garage, select the classic escort, and set everything correctly (gears, fuel, FFB), save to all tracks then go try and start again. When I get to practice I go to edit setup and the gearing is back to some weird setting where 2 & 3rd gear are the same and 4th is where 3rd should be. So i have to set everything each race weekend no matter what.

Then in my 125cc karting invitation races same idea. I have settings saved to all tracks. but when I start the races that I was invited to, the settings are all default, so I have to set everything and save it each event.

It is making me lazy to the point where I am just setting the FFB and getting on with it and not bother trying to tune the car.

Not sure if this one has been reported?????

Sometimes during an online qualifying session on PS4, a driver will qualify in 2 places (say 2nd and 10th), one of the places displays the player name, the other is blank but if you hover over it you can see their name. Whenever this happens the game crashes with a CE error.

I've mentioned this in another thread, and I've since found a thread on the pCARS forum discussing it too. A dev (I think) has responded that it's being looked into. It's not just the gearing that gets messed up it's the entire setup - for now, whenever I go into an invitational event the first thing I do at the start of each session is reset the tune completely, which at least gives a usable car.

Edit It seems that what is actually happening is that the settings for whatever car you are currently running in the career championship are getting transposed onto the invitational car - so if you're running the Clio series and do the Escort invitational, an old RWD car gets the setup from a modern FWD. No wonder it was such a mess to drive.....

Great thank you - yeah I found a post on the official forums and it is linked in the ps4 known issues thread.

I have just deleted the game off my ps4 today, not only do I suffer really badly with the ghosting effect but today my gears stopped working then my pedals stopped working.
I know it is the game because driveclub worked fine and also gt6 on my PS3, such a shame this.
Really hoping for an update soon.

Just reinstalled the game because I'm really wanting to play it, but unfortunately my t300rs pedals stopped working half way through a Le Mans race so checked driveclub and they work fine, so goodbye project cars until we get an update.
Gutted.

That is horrible .. did you try pausing then unhooking the T300 from the ps4 and reconnecting and letting it calibrate then unpausing to see if it would work? (not that this is OK, but curious if there is a work around)

Hey guys. Back on GTplanet after a while now.
I am really glad that a game like PCARS has come to console (using PS4)
Below is my list of bugs,

Formula Rookie - practice session - Bathurst - Pit lane, car ran into the witches hat (which hardly moved), the car reversed to do the same thing two more times before finally getting into the pit box and hitting the pit crew. (Having full manual control over the car in the pitman/box and garage would be great)

The barrier collision sounds carry on too long after the car has cleared the barrier or the car is still in contact with the barrier but stopped, however the audio continues.

Switching off the engine then changing to exterior view, the engine is still audible (also a similar thing online when having selected Auto Engine Start to off, the engine was running anyway)

I think it was on a car setting menu, with the car on track, when I was making adjustments it was affecting the car control. The car changed gear and rolled along the track and hit a barrier.

I think that is all I have experienced so far.
Thanks to SMS for a great game! I hope you keep this game supported.

Cheers

SEIDO463 (add me for some clean racing!)

Using a gated H-pattern shifter with auto-clutch off, un-pausing the game either forces the car into neutral or presses the clutch briefly after resuming.

Is this a known glitch....in the RUF road car,in internal views - theres no engine noise at all when you are not accelerating?
