I have to say i disagree, first of all i paid for the game and do not accept compromises. I can accept issues at launch.. but not testing that a DLC for the career mode doesn't work in the career mode is insane.

Secondly, and most important, there are several accolades and invitational to be achieved. Personally i want to have 111/111 accolades and PSN trophies and all invitational playable. Restarting the career evertime a DLC comes out prevent me from doing this.

Moreover if i want to replay an invitational events, for example the 24h of le mans? i have to restart the career and unlock it everytime?
I have no problem with you disagreeing. After all my opinion is just that, mine :)

I suppose I've pretty much abandoned the career as anything that's properly doable because of all the bugs. I just do hotlaps and set up my own races, minus pitstops because they're bugged too

Just counting down to Forza 6 now, at which point pCARS will go firmly on the back burner. If it ever gets properly sorted I'd be happy to go back to it. The actual driving and sometimes the racing is very good when everything goes as it should, but it's too unpredictable to fully commit to

Audi 90 Quattro
Road America quick race
Final lap, just turning into the back straight when BAM!

Car hits something (ie nothing), stops dead, tyres turn blue, goes into neutral and some cheeky sod puts an extra 10l of fuel in the tank!

Oh, and complete loss of FFB.

Have a sarcastic thumbs up
👍👍👍 :P
And then :banghead:

When stuff like this happens I used to laugh.. but it has turned into me flipping off the screen and cursing. The worst is when it happens when you are having a great online battle with a like minded clean racer. Normally for me it is just an invisible wall that I can recover from as long as damage is off.

But - my 2 most common issues are the stuck on bumper cam when I join a session or no FFB when I join a session. The fix for both is to quit the game and restart the ps4..

Absolute madness. I haven't been online for a while and my career hasn't properly started really so I'm still at the laughing stage. Might not last too much longer though.

I pretty much just play quick online races, quick solo mode races or free practice.

If you follow the WMD members they used to delete their profiles and clear everything out for each patch (actually a lot of them still do).. this seems to have become part of SMS process sadly but it should not be, that whole resetting processes should have been squashed. The DLC is not properly implemented into career mode. If you start a new career on ps4 (might have to delete old one as well) you can then use the DLC in career mode I have read. Also resetting controls to default after the update makes the FFB different even if you go back and set your values the same.. I have not touched my FFB settings or reset my wheel since before the 2.0 patch because it feels good right now and I am affraid it will mess things up plus I won't be able to dial in the FFB settings the same because the sliders move by 6% now not 5% like before which also is bugging me because I have settings I want to try but I can't do to the poor FFB menu UI adjustment being so coarse.

I expect it to be like this for awhile - but I still really enjoy it and will keep playing.. I would feel stupid for paying for the DLC if I did not totally love the Audi 90 Quattro IMSA. I likely wont buy any more DLC until they fix some very important things in the game.

PS4
Multiplayer
Brands Hatch
Audi 90 and Merc DTM

During qualifying I was driving the Audi 90, the scoreboard said I was also driving the Merc DTM at the same time. When the race started I was driving the Audi, but there was a DTM car on the grid with no player name above it. Nobody was controlling it and it just sat there till people crashed into it.

A Bob is helping you to win by being a road block :P

On a side note, I have been told by mate that changing steering ratio will require restarting the session for the changes to take effect ( another bug ), and seems not yet fixed even on 2.5 ?

I didn't read your post properly as you have the issue mid race whereas mine is at the grid load, but hopefully it'll get noted anyway. Mid race must be extremely annoying.
It seems like a closely related issue though

I think it would be useful now to include what patch you are on as well as platform when posting bugs in here.

I am quite positive I have seen several that were supposed to be fixed pop up again.

PS4 :
Track : Silverstone
Car : GT3 Ruf
Online race :
Issue : For no reason lost control of my car first race , second online race had the same problem plus the game throw me out to the main screen .
You tube :

DS4 no longer turns off after the selected time in PS4 options after patch 2.0, which i guess is a side effect of making the pad and wheel work at the same time. If the pad doesn't turn off I don't hear the engineer so have to do it myself, as well as the obvious power consumption issue. A game really shouldn't override the settings the user puts in within the console menu itself IMO.

PS4
T300
Free practice
Sakkito
Aston Martin Hydro/BMW GT4/Aston GT4/probably any other car I would have tried

Entered the session, as soon as I hit DRIVE lost all FFB. Quit the session and tried again, then again with the BMW, still no FFB. In between sessions the FFB was returning. Closed Project CARS and re loaded, tried the Aston GT4 this time, same thing again.

Gave up trying, switched it all off.

I had that happen a few times, but it only lasted until I got control of the car, the. FFB came back, accompanied by a little shake of the wheel.

I drove the first few corners in each car, it felt like I was putting out a wheelie bin.:)

Ah, OK. Different from I experienced then...
But it happened to me before the first patch quite a lot. i just paused the game, unplugged / replugged the wheel (T500) and FFB was back every time. Even bought a extension cable for it! That way I could remain in the seat while performing these actions

I have had that two times now as well. Very annoying. I dont want to plug/unplug the wheel, so I have to leave the session and start it again. :ouch:

I wouldn't mind so much if it didn't take so long to load each race. It's about as bad as Bloodborne was when it launched but at least they patched it and sorted it out after a short while.
