I loved SHIFT2 even with all the bugs, i just never expected most of the same bugs to be in pCARS.

Its still by far the best racer on console tho and the good points far out weigh the bad points.

I didn't find it buggy, just fundamentally flawed in the handling department. As I've said many times, if it wasn't for that Shift2 would imo have been better than GT or Forza at that time

Great car and track list, good livery and paint shop, good upgrade system all the way to full works spec on all cars

Potentially a great, great game but a dropped ball moment from SMS

With good tuning and wheel setup handling was good, for me it was better than GT, only PS3 game to top it was GRID AS 👍

Just tried to do a race online with the CRAPers. Hour long race at Spa in the Formula As. For 4 out of the 12 people that started, the game black screened and crashed out. Bit of a piss take after 28 of 33 laps.

PS4
Career
Brands Hatch GP
Clio Cup

Started the race with half enough fuel to finish the race (mandatory pit stop), pitted for tyres and fuel half way through, got tyres but NO fuel. Did another lap, pitted for fuel... no fuel. Tried again the next lap, ran out of fuel and rolled into the pits where the AI driver kindly parked up in the garage... no fuel.

*edit --- I did not read the rules of the championship, refuelling is NOT permitted. After a thorough investigation the fault was found to be an operator error 3.0*

Not sure but, does that race allow fueling? some do not.

LOL

I thought most of this stuff was sorted out already! I've just got the game and started the career and in every kart 1 race karts were stacked on top of each other on the starting grid! Sometimes half the field refused to start. I'm also going on three or four game crashes in two days. No, man, y'all not starting another game with out finishing this first huh? Really was expecting a useable base for ffb but that was also wack as I had to install jack spades tweeker files to save days of sorting it out.

Drove the Lykan for the first time last night (handled surprisingly well albeit with some understeer) but my driver's hands were glitching as if they were disconnected from the wheel for a random frame here and there. They'd suddenly spring up above the wheel just for a split second then go back to normal again.

Has anyone else experienced this oddity? Ruapuna LMP900 Showdown in career mode. In the Bentley Speed 8, the tire wear display in the HUD speedometer doesn't match the tire wear shown in telemetry display.

A friend came round, so I showed him PCars...

I set up a quick race in the Focus RS at Brands Hatch. 90 minutes free practice, 30 minutes qualifying, 5 lap race. 25 opponents, same class. Weather was set to 4 fixed slots at x25 to show him the weather effects. All assists off. AI 70%

Bugs encountered...

  • Car hits wall when exiting pit
  • Free Practice: Each time after pausing and selecting return to pits, when selecting drive the car would just sit there and never drive out automatically. Restarted session several times, same thing would happen.
  • Race: Placed at back of grid after Qualifying 6th (played the whole session with no accelerated time or simulate session).

He didn't bother with racing.

His verdict: Awesome to drive, buggy as hell.
My verdict: I thought these were all things which were supposed to have been fixed?

Nice touch at the end, turning the wipers on.

I've now come to realise that my old problem of the wheel being wonky whenever I restart a race is simply due to the grid reloading with the wheel at whatever angle you parked it with, ie after crashing. The game seems to just not bother straightening the wheel in these instances so what I do now when I spin out is don't pause to reset until my game wheels are straight, or mostly straight. This makes restarts more successful and if it's still slightly off I just move the wheel a bit on the grid.

I used to think it was just random but now I think it's just a hang up of pausing/restarting. Probably a memory glitch as usual.

I have now come to accept this bug as a part of my life :P

The only bug I'm currently experiencing is that when I stop my car, the engine stalls and there is no way of getting going again.

...do you use clutch ?
If not: enable auto clutch, otherwise the engine stalls, like IRL and you have to hit engine start button...

Mclaren P1, rear toe-in angle is adjustable by increments of 0.1 degrees.

Which would be fine if they included 1.4 (and -1.4) degrees.
