When I go onto free practice mode, my car wont start or move from the start, plus the engine wont even rev .

Any advice ?

PS4 w/ manual gears
Dualshock

One bug I have run into is that if you restart your career but don't delete your profile the sometimes the game freezes and shows just this:

Have this also now and than just go back to the garage and should be fine .

Just had another complete crash whilst quick racing round Spa in the new DBR1-2. crashed to error report screen, wheel started violently spinning until I unplugged it. That's 3 major crashes since DLC installation. I refuse to erase my profile, not that I think that'll help at all.

Little question , if you host a online race how many drivers can you invite at ones ?
I could only do 8 drivers !

You can only invite 8 people per invite, but you can send multiple invites. For example 8 in the first, then up to another 8 more in a different invite. Obviously the lobby can only hold you plus 15 mates.

Someone I know is experiencing a bug in career mode that gives him the 1st place win in every race he does no matter where he finishes, is this a known bug with some kind of work around or temporary fix?

Started a new season in LMP2 today.
Starting the first race (Catalunya) I had no idea how many laps race 1 and 2 had.
The hud showed in which lap I was, but that's it.
Is that supposed to be a surprise ? :dunce:

Edit:. never mind, just found out that these are timed races :embarrassed::embarrassed:

When you return to a career for the start of a race, the litres of fuel match the number of laps you can do in the car setup section. Example 12l = 12 laps - 25l = 25 laps etc.
You have to start the race and restart the session to make it correct.

Well I have had some enjoyable hours quick racing & free running but there are still bugs...I hit an invisible wall yesterday in free practice, Audi R8, Nordschleife fuchsrohre. :(

The open wheelers must be immune to the landmines and invisible walls lol. I reckon 90% of my racing in career has been in open wheelers, as I have only done a few of the invitationals, just trying to get my zero to hero before I start branching out. I have literally never had the landmines or invisible walls or floating cars or anything like that.

I do however get a crash to home screen about every second race these days though. Thankfully I race on 100% distance, so every second race isn't as often as you'd think.

Edit: It's still often enough to be infuriating when it crashes on lap 50 or something like that...

I've got 3 careers on the go so all in all I've done a series in karts, superkarts, formula rookie, 5 series in the clio cup, 1 series in the ginetta juniors, 2 series in GT4 plus many many of the invitationals all at 100 % (except the bathurst endurance and le mans 24 which I cut to 2 hours-ish) and never had a landmine in any of them.

This is not me making any assumptions, just putting information out there so hopefully someone can figure it out.

My first ever career race was in an open wheeler (Formular Rookie), & I got a race ending land mine type bug after the first few corners, haven't touched Career Mode since.

Hmmm ok well there goes that theory lol. Seems some of us are just lucky when it comes to the landmines. No wonder it was so hard to reproduce!

2 small bugs in 2 quick races.

Formula C @ Brno

LMP1 @ La Sarthe

Mainly the second one. Both on Patch 5.0 PS4

Twice now recently while driving on track my game has paused itself. Has anyone else experienced this?
Do you play with a wheel? Some of us have experienced the phantom button press glitch, usually the share button for me. Could just be that.

I'm new to Pcars on PS4 and im using my brand new G29. Am I the only one who feels like if I'm driving a tank? i have to rotate the steering more than 90 degrees to feel the front end turning, specially car with mid to low aero.
the karts were fine though but not the BMW 320.
I tried the ffb settings made by jake spades but this never solved the problem it feels like i have a train hooked to my front bonnet.

A video might help. You might also try changing the steering ratio to see if that helps. Some of the street cars are around 15:1..try going to 12:1 or better. It might also be just physics. Maybe too hard, too fast, too much understeer etc. There is a real difference in how race and street cars handle in sims. Really hard to pin down without a video or more information.
