nope, ps4,.. but i have the one version too,.. but all my friends are on ps4 , so mostly ps4 playtime,...
but i agree, pc on xone is for some really buggy.

I had a landmine and +- 3 dissconnects and automatic button press on T300, but in 250 hours of playtime i am happy with what i got!!

(only "bug" i have is that it does not save my livery....)

For your info the bold one is a wheel problem. I also called the TM assistance service and they told me it is a known problem and should undergo warranty replacement but they need a video of me playing the game and having the issue... I had also it with Driveclub several times but it was way more annoying as it was putting me into photomode. Here it turns my lights on and off.

They say it a wheel problem? Always assumed it was PCARS as I've never had it with Driveclub. Not a big enough issue to be without the wheel whilst waiting for a replacement though.

I bet you play pCARS on pc? I hear it's way less buggy than the consoles, especially the X1

I (sort of) play on PC, but it has always been very buggy for me. In fact in 180 hours of gameplay, I have only had two race weekends which were bug free. I have mostly just been driving more than racing :/

When it is good, it is great, when it isn't....well....

Wow, how bad is this game?
It's not, it's great. :) People comparing this to Shift 2 are just being overly melodramatic. Don't let the opinions of a the loud few fool you into thinking that's the absolute truth. Just browse these forums and you'll find out. :)

(Again, not saying individual peoples issues are not real or game-breaking to them, but projecting that to the whole population is just stupid)

When you are not experiencing bugs, it is a truly excellent racing game. The physics, ffb and weather has pretty much ruined every other racing game I have. I turn them on, but find the driving experience lacklustre.

However, it is very buggy, more so than Shift 2 in my opinion. Regardless though, I have got 180 hours play on the clock and whilst some of that has been frustrating it is sublime when it works.

As you can read from the various threads here, mileage varies. I would suggest just to go for it if you're just renting it for some time.

2 bugs I've experienced lately

1: Engine revs without revving - When you run out of fuel and switch from any exterior cam to interior cam the engine just starts to sound like it's revving but obviously I'm not revving it because there is no fuel. Happens each time I have no fuel and change camera

2: Car liveries dissapearing - Not as serious an issue but I was messing around in free practice and went to change cars although stuck with the R18 TDI I was driving and when I went back into the game there was no livery, it was entirely red. Happened a few weeks ago as well. Haven't been able to replicate it.

They are known issues. The cars turning red seems random and is far less common since I think v3.00. The revving engine is a little annoying but you'll only hear it for a couple of seconds before you retire to pit-lane.

Cannot wait to try the R8 from your avatar in GT Sport.

I thought they may be. I thought something I was doing was causing the car to change to red but if it's just random then that's fine.

Did anyone ever have corrupt game saves on PS4? I have the game since release, but it only started happening today.
I started a new career in Karts yesterday, and today I finished the Kart One championship in first. After I got the trophy video and it brings me to the calendar, it says it failed to save my game and whether I want to try saving it again. After choosing yes, the game freezes. So I exited the game, booted it up and all of my new career was gone.

I then deleted the new career slot and started over, this time everything on minimum distance to quickly get back where I was. But then again, after finishing the Kart One championship, exactly the same thing happened and I lost everything...

It seems that with every patch they bring out, they break more and more stuff...

Multiplayer -
New bug since 5.0

Car drives into the pit for tyre change... and sits there for the rest of the race with the lollipop man in the way.

Very frustrating when you are 9 laps into a 45 lap race. GG SMS

Forgive me if this is the wrong thread for this, but I've been trying to play online for a few hours today, and have been experiencing the worst lag I've ever seen. I've had the game for about a month, and never seen anything this bad, especially not across nearly every room I join. The framerate is horrible, and the moments of lag are large and frequent. The screen has gone black for up to a full second or more several times. Starts have been a complete mess. Also while in an online lobby, the menu is really slow and laggy. After editing the tune, it takes upwards of 30 seconds for the "Drive" option to become available.

As far as I can tell, nothing on my end had changed Internet wise.

Is this due to something on my end, or is it the game? Is there a system cache or something I need to clean like in Gran Turismo? Is there temporary memory on the PS4 that can be cleaned (sorry still new to the PS4 >.<).

One thing I have noticed is that nearly everyone else in the room seems to take insane amounts on damage, which to me indicates that I'm not the only one lagging my ass off and having issues.

Anyone have any insight?

This week, well for the last few weeks it seems, Playstation Network (I think you're on PS4 yes?) has been very glitchy, as you can see from this picture below taken from Twitter 2 or 3 days ago.

I race with a great group of guys (CRAP), and our races have been affected lately due to this. I suggest to reset you're router each time before you play online, and make sure you're connection is running well.

I hope this info helps, good luck!

FWIW, I read somewhere (can't remember now sorry, was ages ago), that people were having success fixing the random button press by tightening the screws on the wheel rim (I assume they were talking about the allen screws on the face of the wheel). Dunno how or why this works, but I read quite a few people saying it worked for them. Might have been in the PS forums. Makes sense though, as I've read that about people finding control board components in the T300 not soldered properly, causing problems, so maybe tightening the wheel rim pushes something loose back in place. Definitely a wheel issue though. I remember people claiming it was a Driveclub bug back before Pcars came out.

Overall how well is this game running now? Considering renting it in a couple weeks.

Depends on how you view it, and there seems to be an element of luck in it too. I've had problems in the past, but rarely get any bugs these days. After 4.0 the crashes (PS4 version) came back and I was getting one approx every 2 hours of play time, but since 5.0 they seem to be gone for me now. Only bug I get atm is the livery disappearing, but that only happens to me when I first go into the garage. If I select the red car and cycle liveries it'll fix it. Hasn't happened on track yet.

Some people are still having bigger issues, but most of the people that harp on about "game breaking bugs" are just being dramatic I think. I even saw one guy on the official forum carrying on about the AI being so bad that it was a "game breaker", which is nonsense. The AI can definitely be over aggressive, but other than that they're some of the best you'll find in any racing game. If SMS tone down the aggression (I believe an AI aggression slider is coming in an update), they'll be awesome fun to race against.

As always, remember the most vocal people will be the ones that are unhappy about something, and there are some pretty epic drama queens on the net, so you can guarantee they'll carry on like a pork chop, while those of us with relatively small/no problems will just be enjoying the game.

Thanks, will try that. Doesn't surprise me about the soldering - a couple of months ago I had to dismantle the stock pedal board to retrieve something that fell in there and laughed when I saw the wiring and all the glue and oil everywhere.

After the last update the game started to freeze during races.I had it 3 times so far.Never had it before.Well done.
I have to restart a session or ''return to the pits'',almost every time to get the car out of the pits.
And yesterday i couldn't start a race because instead of the car the camera was showing the fields.
