"70% complete"!?

The game is less than 3 🤬 months from going gold and it has to find 30% improvement!?

I don't know whether this is rediculous or hilarious. Probably both.

...When was the Copperbox reveal? May, was it? Back then it was 50%. And with the Cninese showing, it's 70%.

Rough maths says, they are making 10% improvements per months.

Oh hey, in three months, the game will be complete!! Imagine that!!

50% quality. The word complete is in use now.

A game that's taken 3 years to develop to 70% completion does not finish the last 30% in less than 3 months.

....You know I was being sarcastic, right?

Obviously three years (or more, we don't know for sure) and 70% done isn't exactly confidence-inspiring. But well, it is what it is, according to the translations of a translation.

....Or is it???

your thoughts coincide with the upcoming USA presidential election, but perhaps those aren't your thoughts alone.

look on the bright side, GT5 wasn't nearly complete, well, ever.

Is it so hard to understand that they are making about 10% progress a month? Meaning that the game will be finished in time...
All these people complaining about how it took them 3 years for 50% yeez

That is really pushing it if you consider it takes around month to go gold? August to get to 80%, Sept. = 90%, Oct = complete. November??? Hmmm.

Isn't the game slated for a November release, anyways?

Where is the month time frame to go gold? OK, 1/2 of November to get it done.
Sorry, I really wasn't complaining. Even though I'm in this thread. I was just curious as to how they plan on getting it all complete, distributed to stores by Nov. 17th when we sit at 70%?

I thought these % figures were quality estimates not quantity. I expect the content for release is complete or nearly so at this point and they are down to polishing/optimizing, etc.

Ahh, I see. That makes more sense. Sorry. Slightly confused with all the rumors/guesses/opinions and facts floating about.

What is "Shipped to stores" is probably little more than some code to allow it to connect to PSN/ PS+ and download teh rest of it.

Why we are still using Discs is beyond me.
It should all be zipped on a thumb drive, which gets extracted to your HDD when you insert for the first time

Are you asking me or just in general? For me, I like to have a physical copy of my game.

No the game code, all of it, is on the disc and copied over from that. Which is why it still does it even if you have no internet connection.

Oh and people still like physical media, myself included, in some cases getting both download and physical versions depending on what it is (talking beyond just games here) and how appealing it is.

Yes. You're suggesting they completed 50% of the game in 3 years but are then able to finish the other 50% in 6 months. Think about how little that makes sense for a moment.

50% took 3 years to complete, however since copper box they are making about 10% progress a month or atleast they claim so... I guess the development is at a stage where it can progress that fast
Also good call on redirectig this into whining and crying thread

@Robbks I have very little digital media because I like to have a physical copy and because my internet connection isn't fast enough. Driveclub took 2,5 days to download and I find that a waste of time and electricity ;)

Also the huge game updates (above 4 GB) are a pain in the bottom. I had several for The Division and because of that I simply stopped playing that game. I hope the Gran Turismo Sport will be more decent with the size of updates but I am afraid there will be a few huge ones.....

according to a forumer here with an article from china site, the E3 build is 70% completion. Definitely laughed at this

lol wut, I tought they used the london build for E3?
Is there any noticable diffrence between Copper box and E3 builds?

Less jaggies, less flickering, more roadside tree at green hell. More colors at northen isle speedway and thats about it. Others i dont notice any different at all. FPS is same non stable 60. Actually only a few people noticed that till now no matter how you burnout or slide the cars, there are no skidmarks on the road surface :P

Seems like they are really pushing their limits

i would say definitely they are milking everything out of ps4 as always but even without dirt/ damage/ weather/skidmarks, the fps are lower than expectation. they had lots to do.i would say the final product will be less eye-candy like than the one we seen now.
