....Hey, don't say that. Thanks to the forum, I got to learn about lots of interesting cars, you know.
That's cool but, there's also a General Discussion about cars forums, Member's Rides, etc. GTS may have the McLaren 650S GT3 confirmed, 458 GT3 confirmed, Mustang GT confirmed, MX-5 ND(and its variants) confirmed. However, those obscure and beautiful cars pre-2008, look to be left out. No E30. No fully rendered Supra. Again.

I suggested a host of cars. Gave up when GT6 didn't appeal to me any longer. Waste of time(Kaz does what he does). He was done with GT6 once he announced he was working on GT_.

Gazing on GTS nowadays is like gazing on your underperformed friend on school.
On one side, you really want him to succeed. On the other however you cant do much to help him.

Its up on PD whenever it'll succeed or not. But really its quite a high steep hill to climb, which I believe its hard especially considering majority of people's reaction.

PD placated the faithful with a handful of Vision cars and then went off to crank up GTSport. If you wanted to drive the likes of Koenigsegg, LaFerrari or some of the newer Lamborghinis et al, GT is not your stop. And now a wait into 2017 for whatever Kaz decides to put in is just more than I would be willing to tolerate. He has really missed the boat big time. Maybe the PS3/4 folks don't want or like XBOX, PC is beginning to give you a choice and Horizon3, to this point is FUN, the addition of body kits is making that car lineup look formidable, is PD going to offer those? I agree with FrzGT, PD has a steep hill to climb.

I'd like to dig up the past. Sure, PD wants us to look ahead but, remember the Andretti build? Weren't we too, supposed to make a car?
Where's that? We got swindled. No matter how high some of our hopes were, it just went out the window.

I have to dial it back sometimes and think when Kaz says, "when we had our fun with GT whatever, then we will move on." This been happening for nearly 10years. Then, the excuse afterwards.

The goal Is set too high. I don't see Hot Wheels or Lego reinventing what they do. They use creativity through inspiration.
Gran Turismo could be on the same plane as Forza/Pcars/AC/iracing all that. Graphics alone aren't impressing me any longer. I'm sure we can all be in agreement on that.

Why can't I build a GT-R properly? Why can't I start out as a young Kaz, buy my first GT-R, cruise on the streets, on the freeway, crash on a wet road, have the car towed to my garage, work at a service station, ask to borrow the boss' AE86 to do deliveries and make some money touge and drift racing, fix up the GT-R, take it to the track, sign a GT Academy contract and go from there?

It's just one of many possibilities. Gran Turismo has always been start small and grow. PD should reflect on that.

I feel as though I need a bit of a rant guys, because I don't know what PD want...

How can such a major game in Sony's artillery be put to the side? It's as if the genre no longer applies to the minds of gamers, which simply isn't true! Forza, Assetto Corsa, Project CARS, Dirt Rally and even DriveClub KILL PD in the PR department, and I feel as though both Sony and Kaz are to blame! They make little to no effort in connecting with the fans, which is a huge disappointment because of they did connect with the fans, we'd all be far happier. This isn't 1997 anymore PD, get your s*** into gear for crying out loud! You'll become the laughing stock of the racing genre if you fail to give fans a sense of community, connection, belonging...

I used to be optimistic in regards to this game, but now I'm not. Quit fooling around Kaz, prove to us that you and you're team can make a proper game which isn't incomplete and actually provides decent gameplay which everyone can admire! What happened? GT3 and GT4 were fantastic games, how can you possibly go backwards? Why in this time of plenty to you choose to ignore your fanbase and churn out games at a frustratingly slow pace? I don't get it, what does it provide? How are we supposed to play your games expecting them to be great? I've lost my patience, I'm dying to play a GT game on PS4! Yes, I know there are other games to play, but why should a fan of the series be forced to put up with this crap? Why? It simply isn't fair. HOW ****ING HARD IS IT?????? Sony, Kaz, impress your fans! Talk to your fans! Ask them questions about the game. Get some feedback and maybe, just maybe, you're game will be a hit. JUST DO IT!

Rant over.

Its safe to say that GT community is basically next to nothing.

1. In game proof: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/there-used-to-be-a-time-when.349758/
2. Majority of GTSport discussions didnt hold any water.
3. Anecdotally I used to have alot of clubs. Now dead, all of them.

I can say GT still have its fans. But thats like saying Sonic the Hedgehog still have its fans.

I shouldn't have to buy a £349 accessory just so I can look around the cockpit of a car.

The right analog stick is the key ! Which they havent been able to implement... or at least didn't see it important. :indiff: Except looking in a limited way from left to right. And also only if you enabled it in the option menu.

Many people moved on to PS4, XBOne and/or PC. IMO, this is the direct result of not having a launch title available again. For GT5/PS3, the majority of people were willing to sit it out, but they don't fall for it twice. The whole wheel compatibility thing also doesn't help. And now the whole PS4 Pro/PSVR thing on top of that, it's putting people off.

Sonic 2 is still an awesome game.
You mean the old Genesis game?

No, old games doesnt count. I recall you dont like GT5 and GT6 so its like saying GT2 is still an awesome game.

GT5 despite its flaws atleast have active community. The midlife of GT6 is when it started to get down significantly.

Also I talk to most of my friends who used to online with me on GT5/6. Only about 10 percent wanted to buy GTSport. Reason is its not a full title, just like GT5 Prologue.

GT2 is still an awesome game too.

I think you're reading something into that comment that wasn't there. You mentioned Sonic and I thought it was worth mentioning that Sonic 2 is still a good game 24 years later. I'm not claiming that one old game makes a fandom or something, you just reminded me of a game I loved and still love.

My point is that the GT community is in downfall since the midlife of GT6, aka just recently. So the real comparison to Sonic Fandom nowadays is that Sonic Boom games.

I can recall both GT2 and Sonic 2 are one of greatest game I've ever played. But alas it was like 20+ years ago, not exactly what you call recently.

You can't compare the Sonic Fandom to the Sonic Boom franchise because 99% of the Sonic fandom despise Sonic Boom.

And quite lot of people ( as far as I can see here) despise GT6 and GT5.

Okay maybe not as much sucked as Sonic Boom. But the effect are still there.

I think that's untrue. Many of us don't hate the game, we just don't think it's that great.
Sums up my feelings exactly. There were things I loved and things I hated about GT6. For every great feature it had, it had an equal feature that made me want to pull out my few remaining hairs.
