I bought my PS4 a little while ago in anticipation of GT Sport.

Not only have I completely reset the console, I have packed it up and am selling it.

I paid $119Aud at JB Hi Fi for steel book version 1 day later no hope of refund and a trade in value of $39Aud.

So to JB I say go **** yourselves I will no longer shop there and to Sony I say the same.

Prefer Samsung anyway.

**** GT Sport you smoking pile of outdated crap.

Tried getting into the arcade stuff etc and omg please poke my eyes out with a stick. That is the most boring attempt at a racing game ever.

keep the PS4 and try a different game - there are much better ones out there you know!

I see whats going on here.
Everyone have right to sell anything back or throw away. Because nobody care what you will do with your stuff. Even if someone will give advice they still dont care.

Are the servers down or something? Because I cannot play.

@TS050, Yeah it is my fault completely, I even played the demo and was not impressed. I was living a pipe dream.
The reason I slag JB is EB games gives you 7 days to try a game, if it doesn’t live up to the hype the company spouts they refund your money. However the guy at JB behaved like a complete douche had he been a little respectful in the way he told me I could not get a refund then no problem but to talk to me like I’m some ******** not worth his time was ****** insulting.

I will put the console up for sale with the game no biggie in the long run.

@SickCylinder, I am putting $$ together for Xbox One X and really only got the PS4 for GT. I have Forza 7 which I am really enjoying but I will keep comments on that for relevant thread.

Thanks for listening and not just bagging the crap out of me, it is appreciated.

I wish you guys much fun with the game.

Oh look I found the edit button thanks for the sarcastic alert.

My big gripe. It's 1st or nothing in these races in terms of recognition .. How about a podium scene PD with first , second and 3rd place? Sheesh. And pls work on this $#$&# penalty system at least for rear ending. I saw my SR drop over the course of 4 races from A to C because of me getting rammed and spun out from behind!! Argh!!! ..end rant. Woosah

Happens every time when I watch a Virgin Australia Supercars event. Forza have V8 Supercars, Assetto Corsa, Project Cars. I'm looking forward to get GTS, but why do I have to "pretend" with this world renowned category?
There is the Subaru, Atenza and Evo Gr.3 rwd 4 door sedans(even though new rules allow for 2 door coupes and 4 door hatches). That's about as close to the current VASC series, in GTS. Would have made sense to make the Hellcat a Gr.3 or Gr.4 option, instead of just leaving it in the N class.

Anyway, DLC could include the M5, E-class, RS6, Giulia, etc. The sport has moved on in 17 years, since that 2000 XR8 in GT3.

Yes a top 3 would be nice! Came in second and got nothing. But the online racing is so fun!!

Selling ps4 to get Xbox X now is like hitting an Axe on your foot.

There are like gems on ps4 which have come and gems coming up.

Second Son,BB,UC4, Horizon, etc to name a few. And would you really want to miss the Next God OF War. That would not be a good idea mate. X offers nothing at the moment. Better build a PC than buying X.

As for GT, if you didn't like the demo. Why you bought the full game? Thats what the demo was for.

You haven't given any reason to not like GT and you are selling the best console right now. You are coming off as a troll to me.

Wow, so when the network connection is lost, I can't even kill time buying cars? The Brand section is inactive. This whole permanent internet connection for the game is troublesome to say the least. How can PD not have sorted the server load out before all of this? They knew virtually the entire game needs to be connected, and they knew they would sell millions. Arrrrggggg!
I agree that it's annoying. For me, I've only had a connection problem only once or twice. Other times I've been disconnected is when they're doing maintenance. Then they shove in like 10 messages trying to get you to reconnect while doing maintenance.

You never play a lot? But you are exasperated by having only three online races per week? Three races that you can repeat as much as you want?
Here's some advice.

Selling a dated console for a state of the art native 4k console that features his favourite console racing game is trolling? That's a new one:lol:

I think I'm about done with racing in Sport mode for now. The penalty and ghosting system makes racing so unpredictable that it isn't even fun. I can handle dirty drivers, all racing games have those. I just don't feel like overcoming a lap down player not racing with anyone else deciding to purposely punt me off the track, losing me time and SR, but if I accidently just barely tap someone who brakes way too early, I get a ten second penalty.
Untill either ghosting is improved, penalties are minimal to none for accidental contact and/or ratings making for equal enough fields that no one goes a lap down, I see no point in trying to deal with the current Sport mode races.

Awesome game, glad I grabbed it!

One gripe I have is to do with the campaign mode.

After I have completed a mission / test etc there should be an icon to try the next mission. I believe the original Gran Turismo was like that.

As it stands we have to click on the select event icon and then choose the next event which bites if you just want to wizz through the game.

It would have been nice if we could use the bake and accelerator on wheel setups as an option to accept or go back when going through the UI screens

Well i hope this game adds content, i knew what i was getting into, but the lack of tracks is really hurting me. There's only 6 in this game that i find enjoyable..hate Nordschleiffe and Bathurst...and don't get me started on willow springs and the rally tracks and the expressway thingamajig. I welcome the livery editor as this was the main draw for me, it has some nice features that the Forza series does not..but....you can't group layers, and designing a logo on a car rather than a blank sheet has proved to be too finicky for me. So for now the PS4 will only switch on for Drive Club..

Haven't had a good online race in a lobby yet - or been in a full lobby.

Tokyo Expressway...what were PD thinking.

Ghosting is very unpredictable. Is someone ghosting in front of me currently going to unghost, causing me to hit them, or am I going to go straight through them?

Lapped traffic isn't ghosted.

Copped a 10 second penalty for getting run off the road at Suzuka turn one (think Senna vs Prost 1990)

Seriously PD? "Network down......... saving not possible......" 1 hour of livery work for nothing!!! :banghead::banghead::banghead::mad::mad::mad:
This online saving bull:censored: is the worst decision.

Second this.. I have not bought the last two versions of GT.. and thought they might of got things straight this time.. sadly not true :(

so many times I have lost "rewards" because of the network lost crap..

Maybe I will get lucky in a month or a year and they patch.. wont buy another GT again

Some tracks are amazing like the Nurb and others simply lazy even unfinished IMO.
I think we all agree that Alsace has a very strong track maker vibe. But not only, sceneries are sometimes dull.
This is a nice arcade rally track with a good scenery :

This is one looks like a WIP and there are no variation, only dirt and indestructible orange barriers from a 90's game.

My theory: I miss the "tunnel" tracks like Deep Forest, Trial Mountain from Poly. Today, all there tracks take place in a huge 3D area but the scenery feels often very limited.

^^This annoys me that it was taken out from previous games. There's lots of small things (apart from the obvious main points) that have been taken out that annoy me. Just off the top of my head:

No horn
Can't change/remove dials or items from the HUD
Lack of wheel/pedal set up options
No tuning
Only 4 Ferraris, 3 of which are the same model
No TVR/Lotus/Caterham
No Midfield, Autumn Ring, Trial Mountain etc

EDIT: For an online focused game, why can't I invite friends to my lobby?

Need more smoke in drift, look at these smoke in GT6, where are they in GT sport

A theory I'm trying to test is boosting my rating up on safety by finding a clean online room and focusing on just lapping clean. I'm hoping this will place me in sport mode lobbies with other highly rated racers and have a cleaner experience.

Do private lobbies affect your SR and DR?

Need to vent again.

I was just thinking of how easy it would have been to implement a basic career mode and it frustrates me that PD didn’t do it.

Coming up with a career mode isn’t hard. Everything you need to make it is already in the game: the cars, the tracks, the AI. Even with this game’s small amount of cars, it isn’t difficult. So all of the cars are divided into classes, right? Why not just make a series of races/events for each class? Start us at N100 and let us work up to Gr. X. Throw a few spec races in there for good measure or something. It doesn’t have to detract from Sport Mode either. I’m not asking for something that’s the same scale and depth of GT4’s single player. It would just be a a more engaging way to earn credits and mileage than mission challenges and driving lessons and another place where you can use the cars you earn.

I really hope Kaz keeps his word about adding more offline content in the future, because I don’t see how GTS is going to be successful in the long run once this honeymoon phase is over. Making an online focused racing game on consoles is unprecedented and this has the potential to flop harder than a pancake.

I'm actually glad that GT got rid of the career mode. It felt like a very outdated and mundane part of the series; a product of the early days where the racing wasn't interesting enough to stand on its own. With todays physics engines however this have changed dramatically and it's now time to take a step into the more authentic realm of racing. As Kaz himself put it GTS is the result of them, after 20 years of GT development, finally matured into a new era of video game racing.

Given that both GT5 and GT6's campaigns were just driving your overpowered car to chase a virtual rabbit, and then finishing the rest of the event in what was effectively a time trial, I'm surprised people are so upset that it's gone.

What new era mate?
If you are saying that GT is taking this -different- direction (as part of GT series moving forward) then I can see your point.
But when there is a sim in the market pretty much doing this for a decade -iracing-,we cant talk about "new" era of racing/sim games.
