For this theme I knew immediately that there would be a lot of single seaters and so wanted to do something different. The car may seem an odd choice at first but in the first half of the 1990 season F1 minnows Coloni teamed up with Subaru of all manufacturers for a venture into F1. The car was not successful as with the Subaru powerplant the car failed to get out of pre qualifying. The engine they used was 100kg heavier and less powerful than the Ford V8 engines they used previously.
I tried to adapt the colour scheme and design as best as I could onto the group 3 Subaru, which coincidentally is faster around interlagos by a few seconds than the Coloni. The original was also light on sponsors to say the least so I've added more that I felt were appropriate.
Here is some additional more in-depth information for those interested:
Yay, another one to tick off my list: the crazy Coloni Subaru with a flat 12 engine that wen't nowhere! Man, I miss the 90s. Mercedes and PUs have scared everybody out of going F1 for what? 15 years?
Great idea to turn things upside down, with a Subaru run by Coloni and not a Coloni powered by Subaru. Absolutely loved it!
This livery makes this car look really small and boxy! I like it!
Here is my entry, the greatest team to never make the grid. In the Spoiler images you can see the Lola Mastercard in it's natural habitat, being passed by slow cars and watching the '97 Australian Grand Prix from the garage.

Okay, Updated my final entry with the metallic green that is SO close to the original Team Lotus Livery colour that I thought, "You know what ... fudge it!"
Okay so here's my re-creation of Heikki Kovalainen's Team Lotus T128 from 2011. Lotus Racing, Team Lotus and eventually Caterham were okay mid-field runners but the iffy finances of Tony Fernandes did for the team - all but 2 of the sponsors on the car were Fernandes companies - they cycled around a lot, typically the fasts of the three new teams (with HRT and Virgin) they were mechanically reliable, but unable to score a single point. through lack of speed and development.
For 2011 Kovalainen was paired with Jarno Trulli and Karun Chandhok got his first F1 outing at the German GP. They had a few 13th place finishes, but life at that altitude was clearly hard and their usual spot was 18-20 or DNF.
Hardest part of the design above was sourcing the livery for the EQ8 Energy Drink, as the company was obscure to start with, got sold to another investor rebranded, and hasn't existed since 2016. I've gotten quite good at the Wayback machine and even managed to find the Team Lotus/Caterham Flickr feed, as well as the Team Lotus Brand Guidelines full of source material for the above livery - including the Pantone/CMYK colour references and the Fonts - so everything on the car is as close to accurate as I can get it.
It's an attractive livery, and a nice cohesive brand, but wasn't particularly hard to make. Others in the thread have done much better IMO.
Couple of source pictures:
There arguably hasn't been such an abject failure in Formula 1 as Forti Corse, they lasted all of a season and a bit. Forti graduated to Formula One as a constructor entrant in 1995, but its first car—the Ford Forti FG01—proved to be uncompetitive, indeed it was the only car on the grid which still had a manual gearbox, and the team failed to score a single point. Despite this setback, Forti was committed to a three-year deal with Brazilian Pedro Diniz, which was broken when Pedro moved to the Ligier team prior to 1996 season, taking most of the team's sponsorship money with him. Nevertheless, Forti continued to compete in the sport, and produced the much-improved FG03 chassis, before succumbing to financial problems mid-season after an ultimately fruitless deal with a mysterious entity known as Shannon Racing. The team competed in a total of 27 Grands Prix, scoring no points, and is recognised as one of the last truly privateer teams to race in an era when many large car manufacturers were increasing their involvement in the sport.
The livery was interesting to me because while it's bright and colourful it is also pretty random with sponsor decals laden in certain areas but not in others, both the F1500T-A and Dallara were a little tough due to their respective layouts but I picked the F1500T-A as I felt it was more authentic to the era.
I actually created that same livery recently. I have a couple of decals you're missing if you'd like me to upload them?

I've never uploaded a file here before so I hope this works.Sure, that would be great, I created the Assitalia and Unibanco ones as couldn’t find them but there were a couple more missing that I couldn’t find online, Gieffe was one of them I think.
Appreciate any help you can give 👍
Hello,
So this was a tricky one. First I'm not that into F1 that I can remember all the teams which weren't successful, and second you guys are so fast you stole all my picks.
I've never uploaded a file here before so I hope this works.
You don‘t need to do that in order to take pictures with multiple liveries on the same car. Just take a shot with one car, change the livery and load the scape shot from your gallery. You can then place the car a second(/third) timeThe photo of both teammates racing each other was so amazing I had to buy this damn car twice and recreate it
That's a nice trick.i did not know that. Cool. ThanksYou don‘t need to do that in order to take pictures with multiple liveries on the same car. Just take a shot with one car, change the livery and load the scape shot from your gallery. You can then place the car a second(/third) time
Oh no I've been buying multiple cars too!@Nuschel01 omg, I didn't know that. There goes my 1M down the drain
I don't recall that sponsor on any old F1 team.
Is it a good idea to add a link to the livery in the post?
