What's the ultimate kit list for GT5?

The Basics
- PS3 (any type)
- Copy of GT5, any edition
- TV (any type)
- Sixaxis controller

Options
- 3D TV + glasses
- Full HD TV (1920 x 1080)
- Wheel/pedal options (Logitech DFGT, G25, G27, Fanatec?)
- Racing seat
- Internet connection for online races & PSN ID
- 5.1 surround sound system

Peripherals
- PSP3000 (not sure where this will fit in? Instrument panel, rear view..?)
- PS3Eye for head tracking (refer to Jordan's blog)
- PSMove (maybe?)
- Keyboard (makes text input easier)

Other
- YouTube account to upload videos (?)

More of a kit list to set up GT5 as opposed to what you need when playing it which will be:

- white racing suit
- nappy
- intravenous coffee injections
- "DO NOT DISTURB" sign for door
- possibly even tissues for some of the keener members here
- generator, back-up generator
- backup TV, backup PS3, backup of GT5

GT5 will support a number of peripherals. Some people may be interested to understand which are supported and what the benefit is.

You should add w/Pillow to the Playseat because I know (at least for me) no one is gonna leave it once the game is running.

And let's not forget a long straw connecting a bottle of water to our mouth. Glued at some point to our jacket and close enough so that we can reach it easily with a fine movement of our heads or just our tongue, for those of you that have giraffe ones, but not as high as to have any danger of getting into our eye.

Nah, the simulators that Mitsubishi had at the Australian Motorshow: A Full Evo 10, with a PS3 wheel (instead of normal steering wheel) + GT5 prologue, and a projector screen bigger than the car. Even the shifter in the car was hooked up to the ps3!

I almost feel like my playing of GT5 will be comparable to the kids' obsession playing World of Warcraft in South Park. Eeek! I'm going to need a week's worth of food and drink within reach. A toilet in the proximity would be nice too.

It's similar but sufficiently different to warrant a new thread. Again, the purpose of this thread is to determine what periperhals and setup options there are for GT5. If someone is new to the game and wondering what they need, or would like to buy then this thread can help them. I didn't create a poll of what people intend to use because that's not relevant.
