Their racecar list is equally poor. I believe GT5 only had 1 Le Mans car from the past 5 years, the Peugeot 908. Take a peak at Forza's car list to see dozens of prototypes. But PD only makes 3 prototypes premium in GT5.

GT5 released in 2010. By that time, the only new prototype they missed was the R15. Both the R10 and 908 HDI are in the game. We NEVER got the 908. The 908 was the 2011 prototype, powered by a 3,7 liter V8 diesel engine and not a 5,5 liter V12 diesel engine like the HDI.

So, by the time GT5 released the 908, R15(+), the R18(Ultra/Longtail/Hybrid/) and the TS030 were raced and im sure we will get most of them in GT6.
I don't care about privateers, LeMans is only about car manufacturers for me ( Grid 1 had a great collection of prototypes, but everyone just used the R10 because it was OP. Same in GT, I used to host alot of prototype servers, but most people only used the GT one or R8).

If Forza was multi-platform I would never touch anything made by PD again, not really an Xbox fan that's all, thankfully Driveclub and Project Cars are already on track to blow the GT series out of the water in every aspect.

Forza isn't multi-platform so too bad.

Guess what, pCARS is coming out next year. :mischievous:

DriveClub is for PS4, but hey, GT6 is being planned for PS4 too. :sly:

Nuff said.

The difference is that Jordan recorded the sound directly from the TV (or was it the PS3?), and so I think it would be a good representation of the sound he actually heard.
I wouldn't say a TV's single channel headphone jack gives you good results.

I would go a step further and say they dont even do the exotics justice. Where is Koenigsegg? Aston Martin One-77? Ferrari F50? Bugatti EB110? SSC Ultimate Aero? They even made the Countach and Veyron standard in GT5. Pay PD enough money and they'll feature your car (Corvette C7) or even those lousy Daicrapsues

Where is the Toyota Camry? Ford Fusion? Chevrolet Cruze? In fact it wouldnt surprise me if PD's inability to get Porsche could be traced back to their greed and not wanting to accept whatever large contract they put on the table. If Forza can get Porsche, GT can, if they wanted. Just remember how late PD was onto the Ferrari bandwagon as well as others.

And what is the hunch Im getting from the new trailer and images? More of the same. Car slots in GT now belong to the highest bidder. The new Tesla. Why is it one of the first cars we see? Must be a high bidder. The Nissan GTR Academy car shoved down our throats yet again. Their generous donations are very welcome.

You're point is very clear. GT is not a car life racing simulation anymore. If anything, its an interactive advertisement for Nissan based around collecting Japanese cars. Forza's mission is clear: Be a fun racer where gear heads can tune and customize their cars and race them. I'm not even sure what GT is about anymore. GT Academy maybe? Terrible, poorly thought out short samples of real life motorsport disciplines like karting, rally, and NASCAR?

Thats a real problem with Gran Turismo, it has no direction. It has plenty of brawn, but very little brains. They can hype all the new features they want as much as they want. But I have zero faith they will flesh any of them out to a reasonable level. I continue to expect more levels of laziness, and lack of care, or thought such as prototypes at the Nuburgring 24 hours or sportscars at the Indy 500

As I said earlier, PD has an elevated view of themselves. They refuse to learn from Turn 10, or even listen to their fans. Really a shame.

Never thought I'd be agreeing with you mate, but so far it's been so underwhelming. I was more excited watching the F1 on the weekend, and that's saying something.

Guess what, given the inevitable delays GT5 1/2 will also be coming out next year, on an EIGHT year old system  Thankfully my PS3 will be in a landfill by the time it's released.

It was in a leaflet photographed during today's Silverstone event. I assume that is legitimate information:

Might not be, though. Still awaiting for confirmation.

So if this is real, what this is saying is I can go drive around where ever and collect GPS data (probably from a phone app) upload it to my PS3 and make race tracks.... OK that's just bad ass!

I expect you not to buy GT6 in this case, I'll try to remember you of this if I ever see you playing it, ok? :D

Please do, I will be playing the free GT Academy demo as i placed in the top 100 US last year, but i definitely won't be purchasing GT6, i'll have a PS4 by then, see you in the future! (whenever you decide to upgrade) 👍

But the academy demo is basically the same, isn't it? It's actually a very reduced early version of GT6, following it can only be worse than the final product, which is already too bad to be worth playing in your eyes.

You are delusional my friend. But really.

Your expressed *hate* comes from a fact how this particular game does not have some cars of your subjective preference, while some other game have them. And that is basically it. You have to be kidding.

You are setting the "laziness" trap for the people that have presented the crazy list of improvements for the sequel over previous game that will especially emphasise community and simulation aspects of the game, among other improvements.

You are bashing over GTAcademy because you personally do not like it while you don't want to accept it actually serves its purpose on as many levels imaginable, most notably on development of physics, gameplay and game features.

And yet - with surprising twist - you are implying they should *learn* for studio that can't even influence their principal to allow for normal force feedback wheel support on their platform for three generation in the row, that sacrifice driving model in favouring controller over wheels, that deliberately downplays all simulation-aspects of its game because of the casual players (Simulation mode, have you ever seen it in Rivals, Matchmaking or in filtering for official venues?), that can't offer variety in surfaces or proper open-wheel vehicles for 4 consecutive games without any meaningful explanation, that totally missed opportunity to introduce variable weather and day/night changes, that deliberately killed endurance racing form their single-player and matchmaking while in the same time preaching about being the ultimate simulation, that does not offer any real new, groundbraking functionality or options for 10 years (in fact, they're killing-off all improvements they've achieved through sequels: no city tracks at all anymore, less and less big point-to-point stages, dumbing down physics and mechanical-physics, scrapping Drivatar development after the very 1st sequel, no real improvements in bridging the gap among controller and wheel players handicap, almost never releasing any substantial updates for buggy and problematic part of their games..).

What should PD learn from T10? Sounds? They are absolutely equally incorrect in both games. Online? Online functionality is much better in GT5 then in FM4. Rivals? Stolen from EA's Autolog, so no real "Forza invention" there. Livery Editor? Yeah, livery editor. And engine swapping. Okay. Two points, I agree.

But somehow I think how both Livery Editor and Engine Swapping should be traded for all things that GT series does miles better then Forza and where Forza still have so damn too much to learn from PD. Which will never happen unfortunately, because it is easier to create a positive mindset with serving people with Porsches and some fancy cars in game with 700+ cars then to actually improve over substantial things that could elevate the true essence of your game.

But everybody has a right to opinion, you and me equally, and I am taking my liberty to say how I still wait the day when some driving game will come that will meet all things that GT series does right and unique on top of basic things it delivers as driving simulation. Gaming and driving-genre in general would be much more beautiful place if more developers would be enough brave to take onto voyages that PD is embarking for 15 years now.

Of course, all above is strictly my subjective opinion.

So LMP's race on the the 'Ring?

Its just a game... The 24h Nordschleife race is the last event to unlock. Racing with prototypes makes it so much more difficult, especially with the tire wear patches. A perfect final stage.

(Im one of the few who raced with a stock R10 in the 24h races)

Yyyyyeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gt6!gt6!gt6!gt6!gt6!gt6!gt6!gt6!gt6!gt6!gt6!gt6!

+1 I concur.

Of course, it's just a game, but running LMP's in the 24h, an event the creator of this "simulator" has actually raced in, is actually a good example of Polyphony's biggest problem - they are out of touch,

*Chuckles* GT6? Delayed? In your imaginary world it would. *Chuckles again with tears appearing*

What do you mean? Since GT5 was delayed, all GT's must be delayed.Just like gt5 took 5 years gt6 must take 5 years to make. So expect a 2 year delay. This is common knowledge. :sly:

For 24 hours?
Ahh no sorry, I confused it with the Group C.

The Group C was the predecessor of the LMP class, so I wouldn't see this too close. Even the F1 raced on the Nordschleife a couple times.

From the first official date on, by how much did it get delayed?

I just think someone who has raced the 24 hours numerous times would have seen the appeal of making the last event in GT5 true to his experiences.

Well luckily Kaz said "Holiday Season 2013" which was a smart. No month no date just, "Holiday Season 2013". :sly:

How many delays are you expecting anyway, hmmm? :mischievous: How many delays GT5 was given? Oh of course, because you don't know and remember. 8) Hahaha you so funny.

The (obvious) sarcasm flew over your heads apparently? :) Am I the only one who remember alot of people saying gt6 will take as long if not longer to make than gt5?Now according to dude it will also be delayed like gt5 supposedly was.

So you have written off a game that you have never played, and sung praise to two games you have never played.
