Just remember it is only a game and it is not real and you want players to enjoy the game and not to scare them off.

Some people are more scared of standard cars than they are of SRF on/off. They want it to look and sound real because immersion, but then want SRF on because another aspect of immersion, the physics, is 'unfriendly'.

You have spent 6 months complaining daily, in numerous threads about everything GT6. I honestly thought it had ruined your life, killed your cat or something equally devastating. Now you come out with ' it's just a game'?

SRF is not an integral part of the game. I'm sure you can drive just fine without it.
Oh but it is an integral part of the game. It has been forced on in many TT's in GT5 and GT6. It's forced on in some license tests. It's an optional aid in career mode. Go to open lobbies on any night and filter for SRF on/off and note the difference in numbers. It's a very widely used driving aid and an integral part of the game.

SRF would be a lot less of an issue if it was designed to help slower players keep the car on the road and going in the right direction, but didn't make fast drivers go even faster.
Tree'd. That would really fix the SRF on/off issue for all time.

They learn a valuable lesson. Practice makes perfect.

Think about the slow kids that can't run as fast as the fast kids. Should they all get awarded gold medals for the running race at the sports carnival?
Such wisdom Jimi.

Who wrote that for you?:sly:

integral
adjective
necessary to make a whole complete; essential or fundamental.

SRF may be widely used, but it is not integral. It would still be the same game without it.

If it's a prize to meet KAZ or to be in GT Academy, fine turn off the SRF bcos it's a hardcore serious event for the Holy Grail.

But Jesus Christ; we're fighting for colour chips and some events are car-specific events which may not to be my liking.

Still going on about those paint chips?

When GT6 Garage Editor comes out it may have all the paint chips you want, but it might be sometime before that does happen.

Because ABS, ASM, traction control, active steering and driving line aren't enough driver aids?

That moment when you watch a drifting video and get pumped and decide to jump on GT6 to drift only to get turned off by the horid sounds :banghead:.

I actually like paint chips and think it's a great idea that could be expanded upon but I'm too afraid to speak up...

Paint chips are a great idea. It's great to be able to exactly match manufacturer colours.

The way they're distributed, and the complete lack of a generic colour wheel could use some improvement. GT6 is a step up from the idiocy that was GT5, but it's still not a system that encourages people to be creative or self-expressive in any way.

Yeah, I like those paint chips too - I just wish Jayson was a bit more creative with his five or so cut and past posts about them ;)

Since PD are going to release a "Sierra Time Rally" event when the next update comes, along with the "Circuito de la Sierra" track, they better make it easy to get a gold medal or I'll not play it. Same with the Senna Tribute events, I refuse to play it as it's difficult to get a gold medal, after many confusing re-tries.

If it's too easy to get gold, I'll only play it once.

PD can't win either way, can they?

I think you're missing the point of a gold medal.

It's difficult to beat times set by someone many consider to be one of the greatest the sport has ever seen?

No. For much the same reason that able bodied athletes aren't allowed to compete at the special Olympics.

Not everyone deserves a gold medal.
Again, options. Why do you have to win something? I setup my own races on PC Sims all the time and have a blast setting my own challenges for me and my mates to try and beat. Nothing to win, but damn fun.

The comment in question mentions the Senna challenges. You suggested there should be difficulty levels.

Why would there be any need for difficulty levels, if there is nothing to win?

Do you really think everyone should be able to beat Senna's times in those challenges?

Wait a minute, pretty much everyone's been complaining that it's actually too easy to get gold in GT6 and now you say the exact opposite? Have you ever played GT1-4 licence tests?

You didn't play any games in the 90's or even 80's did you?
Games back then were very hard and unforgiving.
And there was no way to saven your progress.

once got grounded for a week for yelling at my mom when she had turned off my MSX when I was at school, houres of Alpharoid down the drain... :(

You have no right to say that!
