It's simple. PD is too busy working on gt7 so they don't really care about gt6 as much anymore. If they really cared, the course maker would have been out months ago. Most of their devs haves moved on to developing gt7.

For a guy who has "turismo" in his name, you sure do hate the series
Who said I hated GT? Just because I dislike PD, doesn't mean I hate the series. I don't know where you pulled that one from, but I never said I hated GT. I did however, say I dislike PD and how they operate nowadays.

Oh and PD should care about GT6 because they still have players not only playing the game, but also waiting for the Course Maker to be released. Holding it back for GT7 will be a slap to all those who waited, because they were promised by Kaz himself that it will be added "in a future update" for GT6, and it's yet to be seen.

You seem to be a regular around this forum.

Tbh it seems hard to hate a developer but like their games. It's like hating Jesus but liking the bible.

Yeah. Used to be a massive fanboy back in the GT5 days who'll get into lot's of arguements to try and defend PD. Nowadays however, it all changed and I pretty much moved on from the series after GT6.

True. But due to the developer's game lacking on the fun side and the flaws it contains, it's hard to like it. If PD could at least correct all of GT's flaws and improve on it in GT7, I "might" just buy it, especially if Kaz starts to listen to fans (which I doubt he would sadly).

You should also take it easy on the "hate" word. I don't hate PD, I just don't like how they operate and Kaz ignoring his fans. That's all. ;)

Not really. Just because a creator made one good work, doesn't mean that you have to love everything that they do. This is true for artists, authors, movie makers, and game developers.

There's more than a few people who think that the early Gran Turismo stuff was amazing, but are less than impressed with Polyphony's recent work. And that's fine.

T10 is getting Porsches for both FH2 AND FM6. Fact.

Maybe they made an offer EA couldn't refuse.

The offer being they probably offered a large number of shares to EA. As EA's typical business model is to buy out all the small developers who come up with sales generating ideas. Thus could be becoming a subsidiary of EA hence the inclusion of Porsche?

:odd:

You think MS would sell T10 to EA just for Porsche?

I seriously doubt it. That would seem to defy the whole purpose of T10, to make system selling car porn for Microsoft's console.

It's about as likely as Sony selling Polyphony to EA for Porsches

Also, T10 are hardly a "small" developer, by any measure.

While I'm here, I do admit that I am disappointed that PD has the audacity to wait almost one and a half years to release a course maker.

I think I might play more on PCars once they release it on the Wii U (Not saying i'm dropping GT)

I'm gonna tell you right now. Any major racing game that would get released on the Wii U would be a total flop...

...'Nuff said.

I can't say I was impressed by the interview...

JVL : Could you tell us where is the statut of the course maker and why this feature need much time to development ?
Kazunori : It's still in progress, but it takes us more work than expected
Good ol' Kaz, always giving the vague answers that inform us of nothing new.
JVL : About engine sounds in the next Gran Turismo, they will be changed, and how ?
Kazunori : We've been working on the next gen sound for 5 years, so they [the sounds] will change. I can't tell you what will change at the moment, but I they will change.
The usual "I can't tell you more, but trust me..." talk.
JVL : Will there new cars and new tracks in Gran Turismo 6 ?
Kazunori : There will be new cars, yes, but not new tracks
There goes the "one track a month" thing.
JVL : When FIA Championship will be launched in GT6, and what type of vehicle we have ?
Kazunori : I can't tell you about it at the moment (laughts)
Awesome! Thanks for telling us pretty much nothing!
JVL : Can we hope to have Pikes Peak track in Gran Turismo 6 via an update?
Kazunori : No.
At least he told us outright.

So, that's it for GT6? After the course maker, onto GT7 and bye-bye 6? Wow. Talk about a downgrade from GT5.
So no Pikes Peak and any other new track. New cars = VGT without interior. No offline event creator. No tire wear and damage in arcade. No speed and acceleration tests. No shuffle races. GT6 is almost done with the most wasted potential ever...
I agree with this post 100%.

Me too, so much for the big PS3 / GT6 send off.

There goes the "one track a month" thing.

And there will only be new cars because they're still yet to finish the VGT project, despite it being advertised as those cars being released over the first 12 months after release.

Like the course maker, it's another promise that they made that they're required to complete for legal reasons.

But I'm with you. GT6 was a waste of time. Kaz continues his campaign of telling everybody absolutely nothing at all. He's not even good at the sort of PR speak where the customer feels like he's being given information but really isn't, Kaz's statements are empty even to the most braindead consumer.

The one that most gets up my nose:

JVL : The arrival of competitors like Project Cars or Assetto Corsa will evolve your plans for GT7?
Kazunori : We (PoDi) follow a path in which we believe and we will continue to follow it.

The correct answer is "We keep an eye on all our potential competitors. We think it's great that there are other games coming into the genre. We don't view pCARS and AC as direct competitors for GT, but if we find parts of those games really fun then of course we'd look at adding something similar to GT. With our own GT style on it of course, we think that our style is one of the most important parts of the success of our games.

The incorrect answer is "We ignore our competitors and do what we want. This leads to us reinventing the wheel several times each generation, which could be avoided if we simply looked at good solutions that other games have implemented and then worked from there."

Something that literally added nothing but incredible track design killed the game for you? odd.
yeah I was talking about sims. when I said major, I meant racing games that were multi platform like pcars.
(also, the hover kart thing kinda killed Mario kart 8 for me...)

...Quote of the year. Give this ...uh..girl/guy (delete as appropriate) a big cake.

I just watched the great FM6 trailer, read the comments and as a Gran Turismo player I got really annoyed. So I'm going to complaint about it here, like everyone else in GTPlanet:

T10 are releasing Forza 6 in September! This game looks awesome, and there's a trailer. And what we got, an interview with Kaz. The moment the interviews has started talking about new feathers and GT7 Kaz has changed the subject( Actually its not 100% true, he did talked about the new sounds in GT)! This is the 3rd game T10 releses in the next gen consoles. Huges CPUs and GPUs and 8Gb of ram compared to the PS3's 2006 technology(512 Mb of ram @ 2015). Pd has made an amazibg job creating a game on such weak hardware in 2013.
Forza 6 actually have a releasing date, compared to GT7's arbitrary releasing date (and existence "Gran Turismo sport").
Give us something PD!

After all of this you maybe aksing why I don't preorder FM6 and throw my PS3 out of the window:
A. I can't afford and XBOX one.
B. I can't leave GT. I don't know why but there's allways this thing with GT. I think the reason I still play GT6 is because of the copys of GT3 A-spec and GT Concept sitting next to it on the shelf.

Good old Kaz, he pretty much said nothing at all, he almost seems annoyed that the course maker keeps being brought up. BTW, I just discovered that my GT5 DLC won't appear in-game unless I sign in to PSN even though the game has been offline for a whole year. The Touring Car pack and Spa to be more specific. It's off-topic but I guess PD are also pretty incompetent at shutting their own game down.

You have to give him credit though. He's built a reputation for the game that has withstood the test of time, in spite of the game being subpar for 10 years. You still have a ton of people posting on this site for example who have complete blind faith in Kaz and PD even though they've turned out fairly pretty but fairly awful games since the middle of the last decade, with the possible exception of GTP. When you're faced with a fanbase that loyal why not treat them like mushrooms as the old saying goes? Whether this translates to the general population of gamers outside this forum remains to be seen.

Subpar? It's miles better than most other PS3 games I've played.

It's about as likely as Sony selling Polyphony to EA for Porsches

Also, T10 are hardly a "small" developer, by any measure.

More meant as a royalty agreement, like that of Polyphony Digital and Nissan - it would benefit all. GT would get porches, ea more money (without doing anything) and advertising for porsche by being implemented in whats stated as the largest influential racing game of its time.

I wouldn't complain if it happened? Also better than the 1000's of skylines pumped into the franchise - what would you pick?

Nissan gets royalties from Polyphony/Sony? Is this true?

I have a massive stack of PS3 games that are better than GT5 and GT6. GT5P was pretty awesome, but that was a long time ago.

Each to their own, but PD have hardly been breaking new ground in this generation. They have what are simultaneously some of the best and some of the worst looking games on PS3, their gameplay is arguably worse than at any point during the series, and there are a number of features of the games that are so bad that they are basically memes at this point.

If someone asked me what was the best game of the PS3 generation, GT5 and GT6 wouldn't be in the top 5, probably not even top 10. There are too many other games that did amazing things with gameplay, storytelling and immersion for a pretty hot lapping simulator to be worth much.

Gran Turismo and Final Fantasy did similar things on PS3, they both put out decent but wholly unspectacular games.

In my opinion GT6 would be number one. But perhaps that's because I'm more interested in cars than in games.
