In my opinion GT6 would be number one. But perhaps that's because I'm more interested in cars than in games.
All due respect for your preferences (people like what they like), but if you love cars don't you mind not having an interior modeled in 70% of them, and almost all of them not sounding like their real life counterparts? Also they seem to have a general physics model too that isn't based on car to car characteristics but on their drivetrain.

No I don't mind that.

Good old Kaz, he pretty much said nothing at all, he almost seems annoyed that the course maker keeps being brought up. BTW, I just discovered that my GT5 DLC won't appear in-game unless I sign in to PSN even though the game has been offline for a whole year. The Touring Car pack and Spa to be more specific. It's off-topic but I guess PD are also pretty incompetent at shutting their own game down.

That sounds really annoying. Almost as annoying as being told by scrolling text every few seconds that the servers have been closed while you're trying to watch the demo screens.

No offense, but all you are really saying is that so long as you get the most "stuff" it's the best game, and the overall level of consistency and quality of that stuff is a low priority. In which case GT will win every time because it has the most stuff, hardly a ringing endorsement really but not surprising either, as it seems to be a common sentiment among hardcore GT fans.

Kaz shows a colosal lack of respect to the gaming journos when they interview him, They probally look forward to interviewing him and make time for it only for him to give answers that the interviewer could have made up themselves. Is there even a need for Kaz to be at these interviews? Look at the interview the guy from Kunos gave to ISR, His answers were in deph and he expanded on them without being pushed, You kind of looked like someone who was passionate about their work unlike Kaz who cant be bothered to talk about his product other than when he has to pitch the next product. Why would any customer want to back this guy in futer?

Subpar? It's miles better than most other PS3 games I've played.
You must have played some truly bad games then. GT6 is awfull.

Wow lol number 1?
I'm interested in cars too, But i can just bur car models, Dont matter how much i love cars, If its a car game then it has to be a good game and and my love for cars will not hide the flaws of a game. Even if GT6 was my favourate game due to me loving cars i would still know its not the number 1 game on the ps3. Its not even better than gt5 on the whole

Nope, that's not at all what I'm saying.

I'm not bothered by low-poly models. They don't make the premium cars worse, so why should I care?
And yes, I'd rather keep them than to get rid of them. I still prefer the premium cars, but I'm not allergic to the standards.

Too bad your case is not valid. GT wins because it has the best stuff, not because it has the most.

So, even if GT6 was your favourite game it wouldn't be your favourite game? Nice logic there.

That's your opinion.

...:odd: ??? Did I just stumble into a wrong thread?
Eran has decided to pay the thread a visit and tell us that GT6 is the best and we're wrong for thinking otherwise in spite of its wonky physics, terrible sounds, horrible career mode, rubberbanding and slow AI, and 2/3 of the car content being 10+ years old. Must be the VGT's that push it over the top and make it the best game evah!!

With GT6 on-sale (digitally) for $15 right now this week (as of this post), I don't know whether or not to say "Yippee!" for the guys who waited out to buy the game- now having an opportune time to do so, or "Boohoo.." for GT6 doing so abysmally poor compared to the previous titles. Selling it that low? Hell, the price of a physical copy has even dropped to $30 for most retailers.

With the game having been out for 1.5 years now, and still incomplete (it's nearly there, from what they advertised) without the Course Maker, yeah- I'm writing this off as a bad thing... :indiff:

Don't get me wrong; I still jump on this game occasionally to do some hot-lapping around different courses in various cars, but the career mode is just a meaningless void without other things to do offline. Me being someone who rarely ever touches multiplayer (let alone multiplayer that hardly functions)...

...I'm not even sure about the next GT; PoDi did a nice job of writing off GT6 as their bastard stepchild of a game part of such a great series (or what used to be, in my opinion). It's oddly depressing, more than it should be.

You've got a couple of years before GT7 drops so I suggest you spread your wings a little and get into some other driving/racing games. I played mostly GT exclusively until pretty recently, but playing games like Grid Autosport on PS3 then moving to PC really opened my eyes as to what is out there in the sim racing world. If the racing aspect of games really intrigues you, pretty much every other game puts GT to shame in that department, including Grid Autosport on PS3.

I went backwards, I left GT5 back in 2011/early 2012 and tried everything else, now I'm back to GT since I bought GT6 yesterday. Although I've spent almost all day updating the game I've already experienced the craptacular AI, the never changing sound but I must say, GT6 is quite an achievement considering the hardware it's on.

Maybe the updates have really polished the game to the point where it feels like a different animal from GT5, I wouldn't know since I wasn't there from the beginning but so far I'm happy with it. Of course I already knew what to expect but I was still pleasantly surprised, GT6 is a great game as a whole. Other games do some parts extremely well but completely fail at others.

I now completely understand the appeal in GT and I'm glad it's still going at it. I expect things to change in the future but as it is, GT really is the best and most complete experience you can get on console.

I recognize the game's flaws but I have to give them credit for what they've done here, even with GT5.

Another update, another day of no course maker. It's only been 566 days since the game came out you know... Ugh. I didn't expect it to arrive in 1.20, but it just keeps getting worse after each update.

Nice job guys. Frankly, I could care less about Vision Gt and other things in the game. Just get us course maker already. If Kaz had any sense, he would make it the top priority.

Happy Toko becomes Grumpy Toko once more... Such a dull update that'll get boring in 5 minutes, and STILL no Course Maker. Nothing in this update excites me.

Yes, let's put the most demanding car on the most demanding track... Great job SRT/PD... F------ trolls...

Edit: I love the SRT (and all) VGTs but WHY would you put a 964 PP animal (not even a car at this point) on the Nurb...?

We really need some new cars, I mean real cars. How about some classic race cars, I have no ideas as to what cars. Just spend some money & get some rights to something recent, or something old. I don't care either way but do something...

Yeah, 1.20 is probaly going to be disappointing. When was the last time there a real car was added to GT6 (which is not a Nissan)?

I found the GT-R LMP and Zytec to be unique so I would count those personally as actually useful vehicles.

I completely agree. Atleast I don't give a 🤬 about those VGT's.. And Red Bulls.. And driving on moon.. And..
We need some cars that people actually drive and are able to purchase.
If they could atleast release DLC's with new cars that we could buy like in GT5.

Aren't you happy with your new batmobile? It has flaps and wings and goes 600 miles an hour!
Vroooommmm, now that's what i call 'pushing the virtual divide'.

Comes complete with impulse and warp engines, and the new "Beam Me Up Scotty" feature will allow you to use a transporter to the moon. Forget about the bridge of the Enterprise though, no cockpit.

If we ever get the Course maker we will be able to make a proper intergalactic course to race all these ridiculous (pod racer ) poo boxes that PD keep giving us
I,ve owned every GT game but i,m fast losing faith , give us some real cars instead of these VGT brain farts
