Where's the "Apologists Guide to GT" post? They're just as bad on the other side of the spectrum.
I understand your emotional reaction, but I just can't agree with you at all on this. Because while there are a certain number here who won't give Polyphony or Gran Turismo in general any margin of okay-ness, I can't name a single person who has loved everything about GT5, and defended it to the last post of the day. I've seen two or three state that they liked some completely unfathomable things in the game like the XP system or paint chips, but not one say, "Oh, it's all good." They may be there, but I just can't recollect anyone, because the napalming would have been fierce.

My signature describes how i feel about all the whiners etc.

Usually the default for someone that doesn't know the difference between criticism and whining, while at the same time not having the thinking capacity to actually hold an argument to defend the obvious issues PD has. The signature is to be a joke and that's great, but not every one fan of GT is going to be a blind and follow PD like some cleric.

I love how people with legitimate complaints about the GT series are labeled as criers and whiners. I get that some people do get out of hand, but most of you are lumping everyone into the same category.

Where's the "Apologists Guide to GT" post? They're just as bad on the other side of the spectrum.

Exactly why I ask, if they know the difference, because as you said everyone is put into a very generalized overreaching group. Yet there is a vast difference between the two. And the only reason dogmatic fans of GT do it, seems to be the fear of actually having to justify their nearly religious preaching of how the game can be close to perfect.

And Assassins Creed Black Flag :sly:

I just laughed hard and thought "do you want to be the gunner or navigator on my ship?"

Personally i think PD are doing a great job for just 150 staff, and yes i know the games aren't perfect, but going on and on and on and on and on about it in every single topic on forums probably isn't the best way to get something done about it/get noticed.
If there are so much complaints means there are so much interest. Since PD don't have an official forum (like ever other serious developer has), what people are supposed to do? You should know most of off are pissed off by GT5 mainly because with some commons sense decisions the game could have been so much better.

Oh and yes LMSCorvetteGT2 is right, you sound like a cleric. :sly:

Every time someone say the PS3 is dead I look at Last of Us and Beyond and just smile and think ignorance is bliss.lol

PS3 isnt dead "yet" but in December will be, and if the rumours are true that the price of PS4 will be somewhere between 399-499 euros depending on the SKU, well in Jan 2014 will be as good as dead.

About Last of Us and Beyond
-Last of Us is due to release in June (just after E3) almost half a year before PS4 release.
-Beyond is due to release in October (same as GT6) but Beyond is not a game that will keep you playing for months to come and also isnt a game that will have multiple DLC's.

+ Plus that Gaikai comes into play with PS4.

One of the games that i cant wait for is Castlevania 2, is due to release at Nov 29.
My plan is to wait a month or 2 to see if it will be released for PS4 or via Gaikai , and if not, i will purchased it for PS3 but cause as i said before is not game like GT that keeps you playing non-stop for months/years to come.

The only reasons that i can think of for GT6 on PS3, is that either in PD are utterly stupid or utterly greedy.
Either PD is trying to milk every single cent from GT series by releasing it 2 times for PS3 & PS4 + the DLC.
Or they are so dead stupid that they think that their customers are equally stupid and are willing to give 60-70 euros for GT6 on PS3 and will continue to through money for DLC every month ( << by their claims) to a dead console...and later on will do it again for PS4.

Do you understand how money works? Yes, they (Sony, not PD) probably could release it on PS4 and sell a few thousand copies over the first six months. Or they could release it on PS3 and sell a few hundred thousand/million (?) copies in the first six months.
Which makes more financial sense do you think?
70+ million PS3 owners aren't suddenly going to throw away their consoles and Get a PS4 when it comes out. I still have all three PS2's i bought, and sometimes still go play PS2 games despite having a PS3 since it launched.

I don't actually believe that GT6 will be released on PS4. I honestly think that it will be GT7 and i'd put money on that bet if i could afford to. It also doesn't make a whole lot of sense to release the same game on two different generations of consoles, in Gran Turismos case anyway (i know lots of other game makers do so).
Maybe they could release a smaller, GT Concept game again to cater for those people who got rid of their PS3 to buy a PS4, and that should tide them over until GT7, but yeah.

At 30 years old i should think i definitely know the difference between whining and criticism by now...

And i've never said that PD is perfect, and they aren't. In fact i have a big list of things i don't like about the Gran Turismo games, sound is definitely one of them. But, the fun/enjoyment i get from the game happens to be more than the disappointment, hence why it may seem like i think PD are heavenly gods who can do no wrong.

Just like i really enjoyed the Forza Series from game 1 (and own 1-4), but something was amiss in the forth iteration that made me slightly lose interest in the series (i still don't know what - maybe it was the fact you need Xbox Live Gold to be able to do most online things, while GT5 is free to play online?).

My whining about the whiners, as i've said, is only because it is in just about every topic you see, which serves to be more of a nuisance to other forum users than an actual way to get things done. Thats where Jordans Feedback section of GTPlanet comes in very handy. Or a topic like this one. I highly doubt PD have the time to browse through every single topic on this forum, and others.
I'm only mentioning my thoughts in here because there are far too many other topics with complaints in them, so this one was the most appropriate.

Don't jump to conclusions about someone until you know the whole story, it'll get you further in life.

Yes, I agree.

I guess the thing that bothers me about PD in general is that they don't surf around the internet enough and try to figure out what their fans are saying. If they heard enough of the major complaints of their fans, then they could probably make a complete masterpiece.

@RandomCarGuy17 I think the opposite. There are so many conflicting interests from their fans that it could make the process of finding the major complaints take longer.I mean they got to a few of them in gt5, interiors and rims for standards, the options for no hud, rewind fast forward options in replay etc.

Ohhh okay I was thinking when you was saying PS3 is dead I thought you meant the tech, yea its old but they can still push out those games I listed.I understand your complaint I think, I would love for GT6 to be released on both ps3 and ps4 around the same time instead releasing months apart.

Oh yeah, I didn't think of that. That could be a reason as well.

If Sony releases PS4 globally till the end of this year, i see GT6 coming to PS4 till the end of march 2014.
K.Y. Have "teased" many times about GT6 on PS4, in many interviews.

Speaking at today’s Gran Turismo 15th Anniversary event at Silverstone racetrack in England, Yamauchi told IGN,
“We actually do have a PlayStation 4 version in mind, but for this holiday season, we thought it would be best for users to release on PS3 for now.”
Source:
http://uk.ign.com/articles/2013/05/15/gran-turismo-6-in-mind-for-ps4
and have said that with different words in many interviews.

-"We do have plans for PS4, but, of course, we have an order of things. First we’ll be releasing the PS3 version for the PS3, which has a huge audience already, and we’ll be providing updates every month and DLCs every month.
Once players have played it all out and enjoyed themselves on the PS3, then the PS4 version might come out naturally around that time (laughs). Focus on enjoying the PS3 version."

I believe the same about the tech mate, IMO PS3 still has the legs.
Santa Monica showed that with GoW:Ascension (apart for some major issues) and with some great first party studio games coming out this year, i believe that there is no doubt that PS3 still has it.

All companies in the world are greedy. It's on the very definition, to the point it's illegal for them not to be.

You, my company and I work for money. PD does too, weird isn't it.

This, and the PS4 I doubt will bring good sales for GT6, instead will bring sales of each console sold. That will view Sony as the greedy one IMO.

But no matter gets said, this whole world is filled with greed, nuff said.

If you support GT6 on PS3, then you support mediocrity. Really no way around it. Im so sorry Sony "forces" you to buy a new console for a week's wages every 7 years. Or would you still have the same attitude if it was every 10 years? Probably.

That's over two months of saving for those of us stuck in school with part time jobs. That's a lot of us. With the return of the gaming PC a lot of people like me are leaving the console scene except for used or older games.

I've gotten plenty far, thanks for the "sound" advice. You only left yourself open to attack and it's clear by more than me saying something. It seems my words resonated more. Either way, no one here hasn't found some enjoyment from the games, but five wasn't that great and as a person that has invested time (saying this yet again), I feel I should be able to say that PD aren't doing what is needed. I rather see PD bring GT up to date, and the simple reason is because I think they can do it best if they try it. Yet like an isolated nation, they rather see things in a bubble and give us vague chances of what might happen.

Also we've all done the feedback section at one time or another, unless you have data on it's usefulness then I think we'd all like to see. The idea it's helpful is quite subjective, perhaps helpful to you when you use it. Or maybe helpful in staving off the so called "complainers". Yet again I must stress you took it upon yourself to make a joke in a thread you knew people who are critical of series talk, you did so in a fashion that was to poke fun. Thus it becomes easy to jump to a conclusion when you are attacking others, because you leave no other conclusion. If you had said half of what you said in your rebuttal perhaps no one would have said nearly as much as they did. Yet don't pull some woe is me and pseudo-prophetic wisdom to save face. :)

Its not so much greed as in they have bills to pay too, and their job is to create and sell games - and to make money off them.

As has been said, 'greed' is everywhere. People have to make money so that they can keep doing what they are doing (employing, buying stock, maintenance, bill payments etc etc).

I'd love to earn $1000+ a week! Thats what the PS2 and PS3 launched at over here. I'm lucky if i get $500 in the hand each week. ;)

Either way, no one here hasn't found some enjoyment from the games, but five wasn't that great and as a person that has invested time (saying this yet again), I feel I should be able to say that PD aren't doing what is needed.
Personally i think with each successive GT game they get better. But also, worse in some ways too (removing tracks/cars/races/tuning options etc). But i find GT5 the best so far. It's not like they aren't trying, but it just seems like we need a proper, solid way to get through to them as to what we think needs improvement. As i said, having it scattered all over hundreds of topics isn't going to get much done about it.
Perhaps this topic should be tweeted to Kaz, but more people would likely have to start/continue to voice their thoughts in here.

You call being physically unable to work with four kids supporting mediocrity? Shelling out brand new console money takes food from my families mouths.
"Oh sorry Anya. You can't play soccer, Daddy needs a new Playstation."
"We need gas for work, screw that. In GT6, gas is free."

Sure I'll buy on release day. Just as long as every time I eject a disc, a pizza comes out with it.

Don't get me wrong, I support your want for GT6 be a PS4 title. That's your right. But, I don't support your idea of your idea being the end all to be all.

Have a good day.

Dude please.

GT6 was always going to be a PS3 release. Always! Give them a year and a half or so (probably 2 years), and they will give you a GT7 Prologue in all of the PS4's glory.

Plenty of brilliant games have been made on lesser consoles. You are clearly suffering from delusions of grandeur.

Greedy? How about asking me to invest half a thousand euros on a new console in order to enjoy the one game I care about? Now, that's what I would call greedy. Expecting your customers to pay 60 euros is stupid but expecting them to pay 560 is smart? I don't get it.

Not everyone will be willing to jump on the new console when it's released, many won't do it at all. When the PS3 was released, the PS2 was alive and very well for the first year or so and got great games like GoW 2 that sold quite well. I don't like jumping on new platforms early, I'd rather wait a couple of years to see how things are going and GT6 will be the perfect game for that. I trust I'm not alone on this.
