Oh another thing I groaned at when I got to it:

Autumn Ring Mini in the Sunday Cup. How original. We've been doing this since GT1 Kaz, most of us are no longer novices that need to do the same events in every game to learn. It doesn't make me confident on the rest of the career.

But other tracks are too complicated for a Sunday Cup racer! What else would you rather see in there? I mean, not everyone is a GT veteran, good start for those new and definitely good for the young ones.

What competition? Oh the evil F game? Oh wait, that one is going to have less cars than the previous one...

They most likely didn't even show all cars, some cars like the announced Mercedes are still missing. They also mention over 1200 cars. So far we haven't seen over 1200.

Slump, I don't mean to bring something negative up, but it's possible that PD wasn't sure about that. I mean, think about it; they've been anything but consistent or accurate within the last 3 years.

I think they can do simple math. I think they purposely left off maybe 15 cars for a new trailer or something.

Well I'd like the whole idea of Sunday Cup and Clubman Cup gone to be honest, replaced with something else. Sure on the face of it anything is just cars on a track but you can at least switch it up a BIT.

I don't. They totally fudged the track numbers.

I know, but still.
I don't accept the wasn't sure argument though, it's still on the very recently updated website. That has nothing do to with being unsure. They either take DLC/Updates into count or they simply haven't shown everything.

Speaking of career mode, it worries me a little how there are only 3 events in the entire Novice category:

But this is just one part. Hopefully, we will see the return of manufacturer events and whatnot.

You do have a point, they did sort out the typos they had with some cars in their list such as the TRD 86 Racing & Alpine A110. I really hope you're right and they saved some cars to reveal later.

That is also true. Well, I'm now curious on what they're hiding if that's the case.

Actually, you make a good point. Even if the later sections expand substantially, that's still a really short career.

And if I may add my own complaint, the vast majority of the cars new to GT6 are racing cars, super cars, historic classics, modifieds, or in some other way odd cars. There's very few cars from the last ten years that you wouldn't be surprised to see in your neighbour's driveway.

I think GT hits the ends of the spectrum hard, but forgets to fill out the middle.

Have I missed something or has there been no hint at all toward a online rank system? Would love for this to be implemented...

Something something Y U PUT IN ROVER BUT NOT IMPROVE DRIFTING RARGH!!!

In all honesty, that Rover is way better than Drifting IMO

While I'm super excited about most things released today, I can still manage to complain about some things.
Very limited pre- WWII cars
Only 1 new truck (Evoque)(El Camino doesn't count but I love it)
Either way, going to gamestop tomorrow to pay for my preorder.

A Range Rover ain't a truck.

As a GT player since the first one, and seeing how racing games changed and progressed, and revolutionized over all the years, and then seeing now how GT stayed the same, I'm not anticipating this one.. I see pretty much no difference from GT5 to 6, I see a bunch of lies I KNOW PD is not gonna be able to make true, and now, still no body customizing, and in 2013 WE STILL HAVE TO ASK FOR ****ING BETTER CAR SOUNDS. How is that even possible.. After all these years, even after GT5. Engine sounds should not be a add on, it should be taken care of, ages ago.
And today I saw the new trailer, bunch of the same ****, bunch of cars racing around, nothing new, but now we have STARS.

I kid you not, STARS.
And a ****ing lunar rover.
After all the **** EVERYONE has been asking for, they go in the exact opposite way to ignore everyone and give us something NO ONE has been asking for.
Now, granted, I don't know what their ideas are with the moon and crap, but I know for damn sure there's not going to be a track on it. If they can't even bring out all the previous tracks from the GT's in GT5, they will never do anything ON or with the actual moon, knowing PD. That would make that lunar rover another slow ass car that's useless to drive on a RACETRACK, since that's all GT is going to be offering (racetracks, no free roam or anything remotely close to cruising).
Don't even get me started on drifting.. Please.. It was alot of fun in GT5, so good, but useless for the game.

****ing hell, I just want Gran Turismo to blow me away while driving cars on my Playstation again, like with the previous 4 ones, but I'm afraid that ain't happening this time.

GT6 looks average at best. Like a lot of people predicted, this is GT5.1

Such basic features still missing. How can they still not have cockpit views in 90% of the cars. Why only 124 new cars? Why no basic livery editor or store front to sell your cars to other players?

Definitely not a day 1 purchase for me.

The star system has me very nervous right now. It looks like a lame way to get you to grind the same event over and over. You have to have a certain number of stars to move on. They said these stars are skill based, so hopefully if your good enough you wont need to grind much if at all.

And what, no b-spec at launch? But in a future update? 3 years, 3 years for this! I wonder how responsible PD is for these gray hairs popping up in my head.

The cynic in me says they've removed anything they feel is not completely finished rather than doing what they did in GT5, including what they had and updating it later. That way whilst reviewers can knock the game for not including something at all they can't knock it for being bad/unfinished.

I was getting excited reading some of the stuff on their site, Then i got to career mode section and just said to myself "PATHETIC!". How can pd not be embarressed by that? Maybe i would like to start as a novice and get a racing team to notice me and sign me then have other teams fight over me? nah forget it its a rubbish idea

What bothers me about adding things later is i dont want to buy a game now to get the whole thing over a year or 2, I might be done with it after a month especially as it will feel like gt5 on single player, I think that gt could well and truly of had its day (not from a financial viewpoint)

The star thing... And the whole interface does remind me of MS awful win 8 and their storfront...

But if I'm to drink any coolaid then it would be that each star is an event, with the actual events being series...

Am I stretching? Perhaps...

I think that every star is for a race. there are 24 stars and if we have 24 races in Novice category, its a good sign to have lots of races in other categories.

Nope. One of the latest screenshots shows that each race has three stars. So 8 races in the novice category. And they're likely to be very short races, ~5 minutes or less, because novice races are always short tracks and two or three laps.

That novice category is maybe an hour of gameplay at best.

Oh no! :(
All I want from GT6 is lots of events and races ... :(
